This is a Chicago company that I'm glad has landed in Cleveland. I was never a fan of Subway or any of those other places. Potbelly is different. How? Allow me to explain. First, I'll tell you what I usually get, then build from there. I love their turkey, Swiss, and avocado--my absolute fave. Their Italian "Wreck" is Ah-Mazing. The new prime rib is also excellent. For these sandwiches to work, you really need to start with fresh ingredients, or they'll be awful. After they come out of the oven, they add the avocado. I usually add the lettuce, onion, tomato, and a heaping helping of mayo and giardiniera or hot peppers. They're SO good. Their sandwiches are stuffed with ingredients, regardless of which size you get. The Skinny is filling; that's their smallest size. But wait, there's more! Their bagged chips are sui generis to Potbelly. I haven't even seen them sold in Chicago. But they pair perfectly with their sandwiches. Now, I recommend washing this all down with a bit of sweetness. Their Dream Bars are AH-MAZING. Grab one, even if you save it for later. I love them. I'm a big fan of their lemonade because I'm just sick of carbonated sodas. Folks, Clevelanders....it's worth your while to give this place an honest shot! Potbelly... bring back the PB&J! Nothing like a good, toasted, PB&J!

Just go with the plain bread, don't get fancy. The bread is amazing. I've also had the meatball sub, which is very fresh. If you sign up for their app, you often get deals emailed your way.. last week I got 50%, which for a family of 5, really comes in handy! Also, the kids meals are a great deal: sandwich, drink, cookies, and a side for $5. They hype their cookies, but I think the cookies are just meh. If you are looking for a quick sub, I would highly recommend DiBella's. Definitely a step above other chain sub places. Come on Eric D... you're upset about hearing "What can I get you?" A little nitpicky, aren't me? : )

Food was great when we first started ordering here, but the last several orders have been…read morecompletely wrong. My family has a gluten allergy, so we have to order gluten-free bread. If you've ever had gluten-free bread, you know it can soak up sauces and become mushy and gross. Unfortunately, the gluten-free sub option isn't available through online ordering, so we have to call in our order. Every single time, we specifically emphasize NO MAYO. And somehow, every single time, our subs come with mayo on them. We can't eat them, and honestly, we don't even like mayo. If I'm spending that much money on food, I expect my order to be made correctly....especially when we've gone out of our way to clearly explain the order. This past Saturday, my dad called to complain because, once again, our sandwiches were wrong. The person on the phone said they wanted proof that the sandwiches were made incorrectly. Seriously? You want proof that you put mayo on a sandwich after we specifically asked for no mayo? Who calls a restaurant just to make up that their sandwich is wrong? But yes, I actually did take a picture of the sandwich, so I've attached it to this review. I'm still not sure what kind of "proof" you expected us to provide. I'm certainly not driving all the way back to the restaurant just to show you a sandwich you made incorrectly. We order from here frequently, and this has become a recurring problem. It's incredibly frustrating because there aren't many places around us that offer gluten-free subs, so we keep coming back despite the mistakes. Please just make the order correctly...especially when a food allergy is involved.

So, my friend wanted their waffle fries and I stopped in with her. It was kinda funny that she wanted fries right after exercising but we can't all be healthy 100% of the time...LOL. I like fries myself. My friend and I stopped in to get waffle fries for takeout. Their waffle fries are called potato waffers on their menu which is a side item. It was a quick order that was ready within 2-3 mins of us ordering. The large waffle fries cost $4 and there were not many fries in the bag. The amount of fries given didn't fit the price. The waffle fries tasted good after adding some salt and ketchup. They didn't put any salt in them. These are similar waffle fries to Chick-fil-A. Some other items on their menu include burgers, steak and chicken sub sandwiches, a kid's menu, and dessert. I don't know if I'll be back because I hardly eat fast food but if I'm craving fries one day then I may stop by. I haven't tried any of their food except fries so a 3/5 rating is fair. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 76/250 total reviews in 2026 - 917 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 13 May 2026
