I placed a mobile order and chose curbside pickup like I always do. When I arrived, I didn't realize the parking lot was covered in ice, so I parked and waited for my order. The employee who brought out my food didn't speak to me directly, but she said loud enough for me to hear, "We have a perfectly good drive thru." The tone was clear. It came off annoyed and unnecessary. I wasn't doing anything wrong by picking curbside, and the comment felt rude. If the parking lot is unsafe or curbside isn't available, they can simply say that. No attitude needed. It turned what should have been a simple pickup into an unpleasant moment. read more

Terrible customer service, went to meet my friends, and they kicked us out for no reason.

I order DoorDash for me and my daughters. When it arrived we received 3 extra burger not in the order. And also they forgot are Sauce. Then I let my one daughter eat one and around 3 hours later her stomach felt extreme pain and she became pale and her stomach really hurts. I ordered two Big Mac Meals through the drive thru, checked my bags-all items were in the bag. When I sat down at home to eat, my sons Big Mac had one burger patty and mine had NO burger patties- 3 buns, lettuce, cheese and Mac sauce. When I took the containers/burgers back to show the manager, he immediatly had an attitude until I asked him to open the containers to look. He immediately changed his attitude and was very apologetic and then proceeded to tell me, he was so sorry- that he had a bunch of "retards" working with him. If you're in the mood for McD's, save yourself the headache and head over to the on on 611, it's worth the additional 5 minutes. This is by far the worst one in the area and they aren't even trying to clean up their reputation. While I agree it IS a fast food restaurant, when I worked at McDonald's as a teen there were quality standards for everything from drive thru processing time and food freshness. There is no logical reason why a restaurant that mostly microwaves precooked meat (now) has a drive thru wait time of 10-15 minutes...even when there aren't many customers inside the physical store! And you'd think that after waiting that long ALL of your food would be ensured fresh in recompense for the lengthy wait, right? Nope! If you don't have an inside connection telling you when they are dropping fresh fries or order them without salt, you are most likely to be one of the plethora of unfortunate souls who are given a fresh microwaved sandwich with fossilized French fries. Asking for fresh fries (or nuggets) will get you a mixture of old and new because they don't appear to toss out old food anymore. I don't know who didn't get the memo but heat lamps keep things warm, but once the food is old, that heat dissipates quickly once it's removed from the lamp. It also irks me that this particular McDonald's charges slightly more for substandard food simply because it's in grand old Avon Lake. Lord love a duck, somebody has to move into the old Burger King building across the street so the owners of this waste of space can start caring about how they treat their customers! read more

The absolute worst McDonald's location. The service is always insanely slow. Last time I was here I waited 36 minutes to pick up a mobile order at the drive through and the girl at the window told me it was because one of the other workers was high on marijuana and kept messing up. Waited over 10 minutes and finally went in to see what was going on. Waited another five minutes for someone to acknowledge me. I asked where our order was, and at that moment one of the employees came to the front with two bags and asked if one of the orders was ours. No apology no thank nothing. I came here BC it was close to my work and Starbucks had a huge line. The coffee tasted..idk sour. Almost moldy. I returned with it they made me a new one and it was exactly the same. Always gets the order wrong. ALWAYS. I hate going to this place but the kids love to play there. I always get pickles and onions on the burgers when I ask for them to be left off. I got a chicken nugget kids meal and it was brought to me with fries and a toy. They didn't give us the chicken nuggets or yogurt or milk or the ranch. One kids meal I asked for milk and got an apple juice. I ask for ketchup and I have to go back to the counter to get it every time. Had to make my first ever review because of how bad the service was tonight. My girlfriend and I waited in the reserved spot for 2 10-pice nugget meals. Called after 25 minutes of waiting to check on them, they said "ohhh" and that they'd "bring it right out". We then waited another 10-15 minutes. I finally went in and they were all gossiping and not doing any work. At the time of walking in, they only had a total of 5 orders in on the monitor, so they were not busy at all. The total time between ordering and actually receiving the food was 40 minutes. You shouldn't have to waste 40 minutes for 2 nugget meals especially when the 7 cars who ordered after us had already been served. The average ticket time for fast food should be within the 7-13 minute range, not the 30-40 minute range. read more

This is the worst McDonald's that I've ever been to and they don't even care about how bad they are. I waited 40 minutes for a curbside breakfast order. When it didn't come out I went in to get the food. I was ignored by the front of house person for 10 minutes even while standing at the counter. When I was finally serviced she found the food sitting on the counter the whole time and said "they went out with this and couldn't find you." That is not true. Tried the new and widely advertised artisan chicken sandwich. Save your money and don't waste your time. The chicken was paper thin and only covered about half the bun. The tomato was thicker than the piece of chicken. Why , why, why can't you guys get the drive thru orders right???? I always order a happy meal with the extra fry instead of the apples. I'm going to say that 9 times out of 10, I don't get the fry! If I check before I leave, I tell them but most of the time I don't find out until I'm home. I really don't want to go back just for a fry. And please don't get me started on how they almost never give you the sauce for your nuggets! And if I order a 10 piece, I get 3 sauces. If I order a 20 piece, I still only get 3 sauces. Against my better judgement I stopped to get my mom oatmeal and my wife an egg McMuffin. Two small coffees plus the food came to $9.20. I paid and wasn't given a receipt. My mom was with me. I go through the drive through and they forget the oatmeal. I don't move and when they come back two different women argue with me saying that without a receipt they can't help me. I LEVER LEFT!! They didn't give me one! Check the cameras, count out the drawer, figure it out! Not only that, the "manager" had the nerve to tell me they didn't charge me for it...
