Can you imagine just asking replacement for 4 wheel locks end up been changed $870! I been swapping summer and snow tires in the pass 5 years with no problems, however, this year my wheels lock was damaged and had no way to takeoff the wheel, then I when to the Hayward Subaru ask use master key to help out which quote at around $100 which make sense. But a hour later, the come to me said 5 Wheel Stud was broken and need to be replaced with over $700 cost! I been handle that over 5 years without power tools has no single issues, so I truly believe the technician was use over power by the tools made this happen and the owner need to respond the cost! ......I don't judge the whole story happens to me is right or wrong, I just share my experience with this story and you make the call when considering car service in the future, good luck!!!!!

ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDED -- HIGH RISK EXPERIENCE I do NOT recommend Subaru of Hayward. I have already filed formal complaints with the California DMV, the California Attorney General's Office, and the California Department of Insurance. The insurance-related complaint has been accepted and is currently under investigation. I possess substantial documentary evidence supporting the facts described below, but due to privacy and security concerns, I am unable to publicly post all of the evidence here. 1. Charges for Paid Products I Explicitly Rejected I clearly informed the salesperson that I did not want any paid products or add-on services. Later, I discovered charges that were not properly disclosed or explained. 2. Unauthorized Insurance Brokerage Fees I was never informed that an insurance brokerage company was involved in my transaction. I never agreed to brokerage services and never authorized any brokerage commission or service fees. Later, insurance brokerage commission fees and service charges were withdrawn using my banking information without my knowledge or authorization. 3. Unauthorized Use of My Banking Information My banking information was provided solely for payment of the vehicle purchase. Later, my banking information was used without my knowledge or authorization to withdraw additional funds. As a result, Bank of America's fraud protection system detected unusual activity, restricted my card, and later replaced it with a new one. I was unable to use my card normally for approximately one week. 4. False Promises and Service Issues I was promised one year of complimentary nationwide maintenance service, but another Subaru dealership later informed me that no such record existed. I was also charged for Starlink-related services that were never activated. 5. Poor Delivery Process and Missing Documentation Important vehicle functions, paid services, and system features were not adequately explained during delivery. Complete sales documents were not provided at the time of purchase and were only sent after repeated requests and complaints. This experience caused significant financial loss, inconvenience, and emotional distress. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Subaru of Hayward.

It baffles me that in this day and age something so simple like an oil change could still be done so poorly, especially by a Subaru Mechanics, even when you specifically ask them on not overfilling the oil during oil change they still manage to overfill it. Why because you are just another number to them and they don't care. And don't even get me started on constant hidden fees that their service advisors hide, they tell you one price, but you will end up paying 200 or 300 more. For all sorts of disposal fees, even when you ask to grab the disposable product with you.

Destroyed tire on a one year old car

I had a serious safety issue with a tire on my car, which is less than a year old and has under 3,000 miles. While driving on the freeway, the tire completely disintegrated. I contacted the dealership about warranty coverage, and even after speaking with a supervisor, they refused to investigate or help, saying it wasn't covered. I was shocked--they didn't inspect the tire or offer to facilitate a claim with the manufacturer, leaving me to handle a dangerous situation entirely on my own. I ended up working directly with Michelin for reimbursement, but the dealership's dismissive response was extremely frustrating. For safety concerns like this, I would expect a dealership to at least take the matter seriously.

Services was Top notch! Eric is sale manager reached out to me ! Super knowledgeable, honest, and helpful! Just couple minutes in the conversation i was sold. Greeted By Alan when i arrived to Subaru . Also extremely helpful! Buying process was done in less than a hour ! Highly recommended this dealership if you need a car

I wish Icould afford to own a couple different models. Alan was incredibly patient ( my phone died) we had insurance issues.

No pressure shopping. None of that 3 hour psych game with the finance manager. Allan knows his job. Was able to assist on the insurance. And he took this totally cute pic of me

SOLTERRA

I dropped off my moms car for service and while I waited I was looking at their ev cars. Abdullah came and helped us with showing us the car and giving us information about what features the car has. I decided to trade my car and leased the SOLTERRA. I love the car! It has all the safety features and it runs smooth. So happy I did this trade. Abdullah was very nice, he treated us with respect and helped us get the best deal. As a side note, Pablo Ochoa was awesome with helping get my moms car serviced as well as Zeke who both made sure that her car was running smoothly. I love that they have water, snacks, coffee for patrons to enjoy while they are there. The philosophy of helping kids, pets and the environment resonated with me. If you are looking to buy or lease a car, go to One Subaru in Hayward!

The first time, I tried working out a deal based on what the salesperson said they could make happen, but they ultimately couldn't follow through. The second time was even more disappointing; we came to an agreement, and shortly before I was supposed to come in, they backed out of what had been agreed upon. They did apologize, which I appreciated, but by that point the experience had already been soured. There was a lot of sales talk and promises, but unfortunately not enough follow-through. That same day, I went to another dealership and completed a deal without any issues. I'm not sure why it was so difficult to make things work here, especially when another dealership was able to get it done so easily. It was a given sale I was ready to close on. Hopefully they can improve on communication and make sure commitments are solid before presenting them to customers as a done deal. For now, negative for me on this place.

Unfortunately for Caesar, in addition to my Dad not being able to pronounce his name right, he is also very indecisive and changes his mind a lot. Despite this, Caesar was able to get my dad to start the paperwork on a used 2020 Honda Insight after what I'm sure were more than just a few hours (3-4 hours). When I came in to sign paperwork to become a co-owner of the car (my Dad's idea), my Dad to everyone but my own surprise, decides he does not want the car anymore. This was after he had put $10K down and had driven the car home the night before. He had also already signed and declined the two-day optional cancellation policy (facepalm). Despite all of this inconvenience, Ron, the person who was helping with the paperwork, brought Caesar and his manager, Alex, to talk to us to make sure that we did not want to go through with purchasing the car. My Dad then became adamant about not wanting it anymore and being fine with paying the re-stocking fee and any other fees involved with changing his mind. All three of these Honda staff members were calm and not pushy and really just wanted to make sure we did not want the car anymore. They were very professional and were understanding at the end. They allowed us to return the car and waived any fees. Very honorable of them and would definitely come back myself in the future to buy a car from them.

SCAM - LIFE THREATENING ISSUES NOT DISCLOSED AT PURCHASE…read more I purchased a 2007 Lexus RX 400h from this dealership on 12/08/24, and it has been a complete nightmare. Shortly after the purchase, the car developed severe problems, leading to a dangerous breakdown during a road trip with my family. The vehicle shook violently and became unstable, especially downhill--clear signs of serious issues with the braking system. Five warning signals lit up, forcing us to stop immediately. After having the car inspected by a reputable mechanic, it was confirmed that: Warning codes had been cleared prior to the sale. The ABS system is non-functional and the rotors are severely damaged--issues that did not develop overnight and were clearly present before the sale but impossible for us to notice regarding the wheel and system positioning. The ABS actuator requires replacement (3K repair = half of car's value), and this critical defect was never disclosed. This dealership's failure to disclose such dangerous mechanical problems is not only unethical but likely a violation of California's consumer protection laws, including the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act. Selling an unsafe vehicle without disclosure is completely unacceptable. Avoid this place at all costs--they clearly prioritize profit over customer safety and integrity.
