BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES ... HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE .... and RUDE UNREASONABLE MANAGER ... I had been a loyal customer to this business for over 15 years spent THOUSANDS of dollars there over the years and I will never spend another penny in that store again because of the manager. To buy a flavored vape from this business you must first purchase it on line with a debit or credit card and then show your id when you pick up your order in person. Recently when I purchased them online and went to pick them up and the manager approached me and said I owed her money for vapes ...she said I ordered and picked up in April without paying for them. Confused as to how that could happen because the financial part of the transaction happens online before you can pick them up... but I asked her how much I owed her and asked her to give me the last four of the card I used so I could check my records. She told me that I paid with someone else's account ... THAT NEVER HAPPENED I HAVE NEVER USED ANYONES CARD BUT MY OWN. There is some mistake. Beyond the mistake the manager was VERY RUDE ... I was going to pay for their mistake until she told me it the order was from someone else's account and I picked them up .... That has NEVER HAPPENED ... not even one time!! So they lost a loyal customer and I thought everyone should know about the lack of customer skills I experienced with this rude manager who just kept repeating that I picked them up so I owe her the money over and over without saying anything helpful. The fact that you pay for them before you pick them up is the key point here ... it was a glitch in their system ... and now she refuses to let me purchase anything else until I pay for something that wasn't me ... I checked my account and I never purchased from the in April of 2024 AND I HAVE NEVER USED SOMEONE ELSES ACCOUNT ... so the glitch in their system is responsible and I will never return to Sub Culture again ... that manager is RUDE AND WRONG and DOES NOT CARE ABOUT HER CUSTOMERS EVEN ONES WITH 15 years of loyalty ... be careful it could happen to you too. read more

Sub Culture has amazing customer service ,and offers a wide variety of good Name Brand clothing such as Santa Crus, Metal Mulisha, Fox, Fasthouse, FMF, Creature, Thrasher, LRG and much more. They also offer a wide variety of skate products, jewelery, glasses etc. In the back they also have an amazing ,and large selection of glass as well as plenty of other adult products in the back. Definitely worth coming in and checking out their selection. Especially considering most items have a Buy One Get One half off deal that can be mixed and matched with almost everything in the store. read more

Super nice on the phone. Lied to me when I went in and claimed the clip for when it clearly doesn't. I went to use it and started heating it and the tip broke. I then went to get the tip replaced bc well they sold me a chipped one that broke B4 I could use it! (Ive bought a few glasses with chips that are fine today so I didn't think anything of it despite t's unfortunate) they refused to give me a replacement and told me it looked like it had been used. The lady Miranda with the glasses was no help at all. I only had a few simple questions and she was rude, snappy, and couldn't answer any of them. It seemed like she had little or no knowledge of any of the merchandise at the store. She looked more interested in texting on her phone than making a sale. Next time someone else hopefully will be working that will be help me out instead of giving me a hard time. If I could give zero stars out of 5 I would but it made me put one. Worth the drive to just go to chico or redding for your head shop needs. Also it wouldn't hurt to clean that place every once in a while. Also the blunt wraps I purchased were drier than sand. Had to go to the gas station for fresh wraps. read more

This rating and review is only for the retail portion of the store as I have not sampled either the body piercing or tattoo portion of their services. I will say though the general attitude of the shop makes me not want to. I think they go out of their way to hire rude, dismissive people to work for them. It's unfortunate because I'm told the piercer himself is a nice guy. But every time I have gone into that store they have completely ignored me and continued chatting with their friends (not helping another customer like I originally thought). They have no interest in the casual shopper in this store so if you're just popping in to check it out, expect over priced merchandise and no help. Personally I think Sub Culture is pretty subpar. read more

I took a Pegasus Mechanical Mod into Sub Culture which I purchased at a bay area head shop. It had problems to say the least. They were nice enough figure out the problem and get it going for me for free. I'll be bringing my business to Sub Culture from now on. read more

I have been contemplating getting my lip pierced because I am more of a at tattoo pain kinda girl but after lots of peer pressure from my mother (who originally was trying to convince me to pierce my nose) I agreed to go ahead and do it. I called every shop in Orville, Chico and red bluff and the last place I called was Sub Culture.. I can't remember anyone's names but the lady that answered the phone gave off such a great vibe that I was convinced I didn't have to continue looking. So I took the 45 min drive (with a very impatient 2 year old) and am so glad I did. The lady was just as welcoming in person as she was over the phone and the guy that was piercing was too. And although my fear was right, I hated the pain and have decided piercings are just not for me, they made my experience as best as it could have been. I have pierced my tongue, my belly button twice and a few others but for some reason my lip hurt more than them all. But I had about 10 years of convincing myself that my face would be the most painful so I absolutely believe that's why I hated it so much. But I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone. read more
