I've been going to this place for over 50 years. This used to be the go-to spot for me when I went to work and was able to take lunch with me. I always ordered the Italian sub they have made perfectly throughout the years. I relocated to another area of Florida and very rarely got into this area, but when I do, I have to stop by. Today's visit was disappointing; I ordered a foot-long Italian sub with lettuce, tomato, onion, extra oil and vinegar, and Swiss cheese assembled on a foot-long white bread! Well, I must say that the bread was stale, possibly left over from the day before, the oil and vinegar lacked flavor, and the meat tasted like something you got from Subway. Over the years, it's been hit or miss but mostly positive, but this time it was a big mess; I'm hoping that the next time I come here, it will go back to the way it was yesteryear. i'll recommend this place strictly on nostalgia and let you be the judge. The location itself is extremely small and it hasn't changed over the years, walking into this place was like being thrown back into the 70s. The only downside was I was rushed through ordering since it's been a while since I've been there and I was unfamiliar with the menu thinking it might've changed. I have been getting subs from here for years, especially the chicken salad. I ordered a foot-long chicken salad sub and i took a bite of it and I was absolutely disgusted it tasted like fake chicken salad! So I just left there.... Not going to lie I was in the neighborhood & yelped really quick something nearby & wasn't expecting much. They have a lot of people working & are very efficient ; she had her eye on me even though I was standing behind a couple and took my order right away. Gangster Sub Sandwiches. I've only been here once and a 4 star only because of that. I like the look of the salad choices as I am not a fan of bread. Great location. Loved this little hidden gem. My boyfriend suggested this place and it was so yum! I got a tuna sandwich and I really liked the tuna. It had like a hint of something sweet, not sure if it's the mayonnaise they use but it was subtle and tasted really good. My daughter got a meatball sub she loved it. They are really nice and as soon as you walk in the door they greet you and start working on things for you. The kitchen area is open so you can watch as they prepare and cook things (I'm a fan of that.) If you like Dr. Brown sodas they also have a large selection of those, cream soda is my favorite and they had it. They also have a selection of cookies and other deserts. We got a chocolate chip cookie and a brownie. They also have a very cute outdoor seating area to enjoy your food on days when the weather is nice. We loved everything about this place and can't wait to come back! read more

Great little place for a great Philly cheesesteak at a good price ($12 for a footlong). We came in around 30 minutes before they were about to close but they still helped us really quickly. The person in the back got a bit confused with our three sub order, but no biggie, since we got all the sandwiches right. The way the run it is a bit weird and sorta confusing, but not the end of the world (tho I'd imagine during the day it'd be a different ballgame). We all got the Philly cheesesteak. And boy oh boy, did they not skimp on the meat. They pile on at least 1-2lbs of sliced beef onto the sandwich. I'm a little sad they didn't have provolone when I came here, but the meat spoke for itself. It was juicy, tasty, and not chewy as rubber which lots of sub places suffer from. And the bun was really great too. The sandwch came together really well and I was stuffed just eating a half off it. Only complaint? No prices on the walls or literally anywhere, but now you know, it's around $12-14/foot long, which isn't that bad. Overall, great place to get your grub on. read more

So I was driving around the area, I was craving a good sub and this place was highly recommended by other Yelpers. The place is owned by Siciliano's next door. I asked the woman who helped me at the counter, chicken or turkey? She said depending if you want a hot or cold sub. I ordered grilled chicken and bacon with grilled onions with Swiss and a little lettuce, pickles and sweet peppers. I asked for a little of the sweet onion sauce on top with black pepper and oregano. One of the reviews mentioned fresh cookies and I had to get a couple of them too. A diet cherry dr brown was also important to add on. I was tempted to eat it right away in my car but I ended up waiting and having one of my cookies. White chocolate macadamia, it was so yummy. I got home, opened up my sandwich and it was so delicious. The chicken was cooked perfectly and tender, the marinade gave it extra flavor. The bread wasn't soggy, it held up to all the toppings. I definitely would make the long drive to get a sub again and maybe try some custard if I'm not too full lol Service was great and they were all wearing masks (plus only 3 allowed inside at a time). Over all the philly cheesesteaks are good here. I personally prefer mine with cheese wiz but unfortunately they don't offer that choice. On a good note, they do have alot of cheese options. When it comes to Philly Cheese Steak, I don't know when you can call yourself a connoisseur or aficionado but I've eaten a lot of Philly in my days. From east coast to west coast but, full disclosure, haven't had one from the city of brotherly love. I have to say that Sub Center's Philly Cheese Steak is the stairway to palate heaven. Great quality & flavorful meat cooked to perfection, fresh chopped ingredients (ie grilled onions, peppers, etc.), good selection of cheeses, and that 'pillowy', soft roll will make you forget any diet. Hell, it can even convert vegans, vegetarians, or whatever trendy diet that doesn't involve meat that you're doing! The footlong is $11.50 which is really cheap considering how much meat they pack into that sub (about a pound). PRO TIP: ALWAYS get the footlong otherwise you'll regret it after you finish that six inch! It's a take-out kind of place but service is always fast and friendly. Make sure to call ahead to place your order to minimize the wait time. If you can't wait to get home and tear into that sub, they have some outdoor seating (about 6 concrete tables). I can't figure out why this place doesn't have more Yelp reviews. It's really awesome. The place is busy, but they are amply staffed and the service is friendly and there is seriously positive energy here. I had an errand during lunch that brought me to this side of town which forced me into grabbing and going for lunch, and I remembered this place. I decided to swing by on my way back to the office. I was surprised at how busy it was even before 11 AM. I got nervous when I saw the amount of cars in the lot outside, but as soon as I walked in, I knew I would be okay. They immediately asked me for my order, and one of the ladies took it all the way. I ordered a steak and cheese sandwich plain, and everything was sliced and prepared it fresh. There was talk in the shop about who the People's sexiest man alive was...I remembered it was that guy who plays Thor. Darn I couldn't remember his name, but I went ahead and shouted out "THOR!" Then everyone (customers included) started talking about that guy, and no one else could remember his name either. It was a funny conversation. The next thing I know my sandwich was ready. During our banter, 3 other customers had paid and left and several others had come in and were being helped. These people have their act together. Several customers mentioned that this was the best place to go for subs. I paid with my card, and I was on my way. It was very fast, and I didn't mind being in that place with that group of people. They were a nice group and everyone had manners, which seems to be the exception these days. I got back to my office and unwrapped my sandwich to find it was hot and packed with meat. But would it be tasty? I took a bite and OMG!! It was delicious! I thought, "I know the first bite is always good, but there must be gristle. There is ALWAYS gristle!" Nope! Each bite after the next was just as tender and delicious. I was hooked. I have to say, this is another great find that I wish were closer to my office. I would definitely be a regular. I took Hubby the other half and he agreed even after the sandwich had been in the fridge half the day. It was that good! After talking with Kevin C, who was there the same day and I was, I understand their tuna is also awesome. I will be trying that as well, as I love good tuna. Had to go again the next day after first visit. Went for lunch and had a tuna sub, had to be one of the best subs I have eaten. The wheat sub roll was fresh and the tuna had just the right amount of tuna and mayo and the tomatoes and lettuce were ripe and fresh. Son ordered the hot ham and cheese which was also delicious. During each visit, the person taking our order made sure our subs were prepared exactly the way we wanted with all the ingredients we asked for. The personal attention that was paid to each customer is incredible for such a busy place. The Sub Center will be on my list of places to visit next time I am in the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood area.
