But since my bank account doesn't carry that many zeros, I made do with a small purchase - a soup and bread bowl (funny, I eat a lot of soup and bread). In hind sight, I should have come back and grabbed two more items to treat myself to, but such is life. Su Casa is a fun place to visit. Yes, they are a furniture store. The furniture is gorgeous too! But they also have an amazing selection of decor, accessories, wall art and gifts. If you live in Maryland and want to decorate as a Marylander or you live out of state and want to celebrate where you're from, this store has amazing pieces to add to your walls, shelves, and tabletop displays. They also feature kitchen items, gadgets, puzzles, posters, pillows and so many cute items perfect for gift giving. I enjoy browsing this store for hostess gifts, housewarming gifts, birthday and holiday gifts too. So when you think to yourself that you're not in need of furniture, be reminded they offer so much more! They also have a large parking lot behind the store front that is shared with other nearby shops and restaurants. Great selection of furniture that is practical, comfortable, affordable, and stylish.

I visited Su Casa last week mainly to browse and possibly buy some small things for my apartment. As a college student, most of the big furniture pieces in this store are too expensive for me, but I was pleased with the things I did get! I got two maps for very cheap and a mug and plate set. The maps are pictured below. Overall, the set up of the store is very organized and appealing. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating. I do wish things were a little less expensive though because I wanted to buy everything in there but just couldn't afford it! read more

My boyfriend and I purchased our first home in April 2020. While we could have gone with a company like Arhaus, we decided to shop local (thinking they'd appreciate the business more) spending over $10k of furniture during the height of COVID-19. WHAT. A. MISTAKE. First, they took furniture right off their floor that other people touched and had been using for who knows how long. After a few months, our dining room table starts to peel and chip paint. Su Casa at first tried to replace our table with other tables because apparently ours was discontinued. However, I bought this table as a set with a matching bench and chairs, so repairing it was the only option if I was going to match everything that I purchased from Su Casa. I was promised it would be done in two weeks with plenty of time before Thanksgiving. We scheduled a noon pick up with Brian, who I originally bought all this overpriced furniture from. The driver calls me after 12pm to tell me they are running late and won't be there till 2:30 pm, while giving me an attitude and telling me they are running behind. After 2:30 pm comes and goes, I ask my boyfriend if he can wait bc I had an errand to run. I come back at 4pm and they're finally there to pick up the table (which the driver called neither of us to let us know he was running FOUR hours late). When I see the driver I spoke to in my driveway, I say, "so this is 2pm?" He decides to go off on me about them running behind and to "call Brian if I have a problem with it." WOW. Brian profusely apologized, but offered nothing but apologies and that person is still delivering furniture for this company. Three and a half weeks went by with no phones calls. Finally, I called and asked what the status of my table is (and why I have to call to find out?!) I was told by Carly, the manager of Ellicott City, where I bought the table that the owner Nick said I could have the table back as is with money returned or wait until he finds the correct color bc he was working on it. Another three weeks have gone by and I just called the EC store, spoke to Carly and just said I'd like the table and my money back (which is what she originally offered me). Magically, the table is now done and can be delivered to me in seven days. It's been TWO MONTHS, not TWO WEEKS. When I spoke to Nick, the owner of SU CASA, today to schedule a date for delivery all I was offered was an apology and a curt attitude of scheduling a delivery date. Bottom Line: A fun furniture and home decor store with a great selection but hard-to-find staff. I love the offerings of Su Casa - everything from large pieces of furniture to small gadgets! They have lots in store and they've done an awesome job arranging their inventory in vignettes so one doesn't get overwhelmed. They cater to a variety of styles from traditional to modern yet this store looks welcoming and organized - not a hodge podge of furniture and home decor. Even though this store is on Main Street in EC, I have found many of their items to be reasonably priced with a few items that seemed pricey. I also like how eclectic the furniture is and the discounted items upstairs. Su Casa also offers some fun artwork. I like the "Beach Town Posters" and vintage travel posters by Kerne Erickson. In fact, these collections have inspired me to do a travel theme in my basement. The down side to my visit to Su Casa is that the staff was MIA. Several customers were waiting at the register while a mother-daughter duo were commenting that they couldn't find anyone to help them. I did find some vibrant, yellow bath accessories that I was interested in, but I was motivated to hunt down staff members to ring up my purchase. I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Su Casa at Fells Point. The staff did two things that satisfy my shopping experience...greeted me upon entry into the store, introduced themselves and told me, 'I'm available when and if you need assistance'. I was in love! I had the best experience at this store! I was searching for a way to have a living room that would convert to a dining room and I found the perfect table at the EC store! Unfortunately they only had one in store but it was a little scuffed up and I wanted it for my Christmas party! The sales associates helped me out by "loaning me" the table they had in store until the new one was delivered. A week later they brought me the table, earlier than expected, assembled it in my living room, disassembled my loaner table and packed it up to take with them. The delivery men were fast and super friendly! I got a call the next day checking in to make sure everything was good with the table. The table is perfect but the customer service is why I would return to Su Casa! Their beautiful furniture is an added bonus! read more

I haven't bought anything at Su Casa yet but I always enjoy window shopping here to get ideas and look at their little gadgets for the kitchen and home. My favorite Su Casa is the one in Baltimore but this one is cute too and in a standalone store that connects to more creative home furnishing store(s) in the back that I always forget about. They have a bunch of decorative items along with unique little pieces of furniture for the bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom. That includes things like couches,cute side tables, shower curtains and lots of other little things that you probably don't need but would love to have. It's a nice gift spot to fill up some good friend's house :-) read more

While waiting to meet a friend in Ellicott City we wandered into this store. It's a whimsical and surprisingly large. You'll find furniture (probably over-priced, but I bought my last couch at Ikea - so don't ask me) bottle openers, desks, wonderfully etched glasses ($12 a piece), novelty pens, paintings and all sorts of other odds and ends. We ended up spending about a half hour just wandering around looking at everything. I may need to go back for those glasses. Sure - you won't find the best prices on everything here, but you will find an interesting assortment of goods to keep you entertained a while, and probably end up with an impulse buy. read more

Terrible place and treats their customers like throw away trash. With cash in hand to buy a pendant light system from a store that has historically been a joy to shop from has turned us away because we chose not to wear a mask in a county with NO mask mandates. Upon entering the store we immediately were told we had to wear a mask. When I said there was no county mandate to do so, A young girl behind the counter said "well it is a mandate here and we have masks for you to wear if you want to come inside." I will never shop at this store again and I will suggest to all of my friends that follow suit at their outlandish and random "mandates". So long Su Casa! read more

I hadn't been here in years but needed a last minute gift for a baby shower. I had already sent the gifts to LA so I thought I would get a book or something small, and a card. I found the perfect book, 'Farts in the Wild' for my flatulent friend and her soon to arrive little boy. Kathleen was very helpful and I was in and out in 10 minutes. This store has a decent selection of household items but for what they are, some are a little pricey . However, the right side of the store has "the Corduroy Button" - a boutique for infants and young children. Again, it's a bit pricey but the items are unique and well-crafted. I bought a cute hat here with bear ears for my son. My only issue is with the cashier the second time I went here. I went with my toddler to check out the kid's section. She didn't greet me, which I wouldn't normally care about, but she did greet the next customer. Fine. But then I walk past the counter, gave her a smile, and that was returned with a dirty look saying "why the hell are you looking at me?" Well good thing I didn't find anything to buy that day. I will go back here next time I'm in town though, since a pissy cashier shouldn't punish a store. read more
