Keep in mind, those cool pieces of art, or floor to ceiling mirrors, floating table stands, bed frames and lamps with outlets and internet ports built in, that you see at the nicer hotels, are some of the things that Solo sells. Was given a contract, gave a deposit and said that it would be ready for delivery the second week in February. After two days into that week, I emailed her expecting her to call me to touch base about the order and learned that the sofa had not been done as the fabric I chose was not available. I expected a sales rep to have their management skills to be ahead of any potential problem as my contract is with Sofas Etc. and not Sherrill Furniture who is their agent making the furniture. After some back and forth, I was told that if I came in the store, I could pick out another fabric and was told that they would be "moving me to the head of the line above everyone else to get my softa within the next 6 weeks." While at the store, Karen called and spoke to the agent at Sherrill and learned that they just got the fabric in again and I could get the fabric of my choice. I said to Karen that I felt a little mismanaged in that there was no way I was receiving communication from anyone about the fabric. It was really Sofas Etc. that I had the contract with and obviously, no one was caring to communicate after I left the deposit. The Owner offered placating remarks and with my health compromised, I just wanted to go home and not deal with this kind of treatment. I left the store thinking that it was really coming and would be done in the beginning of April. I emailed Karen right after the beginning of April: "Another deadline missed?" in the subject line of my email and she then emailed me back saying they would look into it. The Owner emailed me exclaiming that they were having problems not getting communications with them. That Karen received messages that the fabric was there and also that it wasn't. I just felt abused and neither Karen nor the owners were taking any responsibility for the process at all. I didn't bother coming back to the store and told them to credit my deposit in full immediately. After all that, the Owner still insisted that perhaps he could offer a heavily discounted price if I would just let them try to get it done again. I just wanted the abuse of the whole process to be done and credit my account immediately. I have to put the onus onto Sofas Etc. as they had the contract with me and they should have been guiding and managing the process including all communications instead of operating from a "reactionary" process.

Sam (salesperson) is manipulative, a scammer and a liar. I…read morecontracted for granite countertops. The first negotiation went fine. The person who came out and measured told me that I didn't need supports for an additional extention of about 2". in the office Sam said I had to have two supports and they were $500 a piece. I didn't need them and that was a terribly inflated price. Then came the addition of a plumber. I think this should have been covered under the install. I paid him $600 to have a licensed plumber come and unhook sink and stove and then return and turn them back on later in the day. The plumber didn't show up to unhook sink and stove. So the installers had to do that. They weren't happy with that responsibility. A little while later Sam, the scammer showed up. He came to get payment for the plumber- in CASH! When he saw that I had a gas stove, he said "That's not plumbing, you should have told me." I said "of course it is, and you do installs, it was your job to ask." I said, "Since he didn't show up to unhook, I'll only pay you half." He said "Oh no, you are paying me for the job and they did it.". Then he said "Because it's a gas stove, it's $700." I said then just leave it and cancel the plumber. I don't care if it takes weeks before I can get a plumber to hook it back up. I am so done with you. A little while later he said "How about $650." All I wanted was him gone at that point. I finally agreed to get it over with. As the installers were leaving I told them I hoped they would get payment for stove and sink. They said they wouldn't. Sam is not a good person. I would not recommend him at all. Buyer beware!

But I had a great experience with Hien Tran, a design consultant. He walked me through the store to view the Calacatta Bravo and Calacatta Miraggio. I was initially interested in the Calacatta Luccia, a higher price point. I showed Hien the backsplash I wanted and he suggested the Calacatta Bravo and Calacatta Miraggio these designs would not clash with my backsplash. Hien gave me a quote and a sample piece of the backsplash at no charge. He gave me the estimated installation time which was about 3 - 10 business days. I ended up selecting another vendor because United Granite's prices were $300 more expensive. Again, I had a great experience and wanted to share. I think United Granite should offer quotes online, most vendors I checked offered that service. That way you don't waste anyone's time if their prices were not in my budget.
