This was my first and definitely last visit to this salon. I felt completely uncomfortable from the moment I walked in. The staff were unwelcoming, unfriendly, and did not make any effort to create a pleasant atmosphere for their customers. The service itself was very unprofessional. Multiple technicians were working on me at the same time in a chaotic and disorganized way, which made the whole experience stressful rather than relaxing. Hygiene standards were extremely poor -- the tools and overall cleanliness were far below acceptable standards, which is very concerning in a salon environment. The quality of the pedicure was disappointing. The work looks messy and rushed, and I am honestly embarrassed by how my toenails turned out. I expected much better. Very accommodating walk in, all the employees are very sweet. Pricing is also fair. I love how they aren't super pushy for upgrades, when I need a service done I want to relax and not try to be persuaded and this is that. Pedis are 5 star!!!! She right away cut it so short then she said it's too short now I have to put fake nail. I just got home and it's burning so bad. Do not recommend! The lady working on my pedicure was extremely rough, bending my toes in positions that they don't bend, she was rushing everything all while talking the ENTIRE time on her earbuds. Literally she never stopped speaking! She cut my cuticle to the point of pain. I had two separate ladies start on my manicure and then leave to go work on somebody else. The one who did my pedicure then ended up doing my manicure and it was again, painful with her twisting and bending my fingers in different directions, she clipped my nails too short and where one side is at an angle! WTF?!! She was again rushing the services and not paying attention. For example, she was squeezing cuticle softener on my fingers WITH THE LID CLOSED! she didn't even realize it. I've been coming here for the last 3 years and today was the last straw. I got a gel manicure and pedicure. Once I left everything looked great, but once I got home and showered three of my toe nails got a giant bubble in them. I called and they said come back they would fix it, which was great to hear but once I got here. I got treated as if it were my problem of why the bubbles appeared. I'd understand if they were traditional nail polish but they are gel which means the nail should me cured all the way. The way they treated me while in the chair was unprofessional, I asked simple questions of if this is happening to the nail should we just repaint all of them and the only thing the nail technician said was don't move and ignored me. Then while taking the polish off the defect nails she was very aggressive and annoyed the entire time. Just kept tell me not to me, which I was not moving at all. The vibe of the technician was completely off. I've never been treated this way. read more

I went to get a pedicure with my aunt. Both of us can't even wear shoes. They yanked the cuticle out in both big toes to the point they were bleeding. If I could give no stars it would still be extremely generous. I am a retired Cosmetologist and was aCosmetology teacher for many years. The level of professionalism is non existent. I brought my 85 year old mother for a pedicure as she can't cut her own nails any more. The lady was extremely rude when she asked her to cut them shorter. She didn't even respond and just kept working as if my mother was invisible. I asked her to cut them shorter and she got all bent out of shape and said she couldn't or they would bleed. They were long enough to make holes in her shoes. I had to cut them myself. The lady working on my feet seemed to have difficulty handling the nippers and seemed to struggle. I also had to cut my own nails. She kept talking and turning to the manicurist next to her not even looking at what she was doing on my feet. Very rude to sit and carry on a complete conversation in another language and totally ignore your client and not pay attention to what they are doing. They are handling instruments that cut. You can also see in the photos she got polish all over my toes and didn't clean it and didn't cut the dry skin off. I have the feeling they have people who aren't licensed working under other people's licenses as there are more manicurists that licenses displayed. I asked to see the lady's license and she refused. I was asked to speak to the manager, so I politely asked and he refused to even give me his name! If they are on the up and up why aren't they complying with the law of having the license displayed? How can you report a problem to Barbering & Cosmetology if you don't know the name or license number of the person who worked on you should you have a problem? Such a shame it is a nice salon and location is convenient. However, I rather drive all the way to "Downtown Nails & Spa" where they are so professional and the quality of the work is outstanding. read more

After being seated in pedicure station chair withing first 5 minutes I had to stop the rude lady working on me. She cut my toe causing me to bleed after I already had to say something to her TWICE! SHE couldn't even clip my toenails properly & then clipped me-after I already told her be careful - Twice! SHE HAD THE NERVE TO STILL CHARGE ME $21 BUCKS for that! for cutting me with toe clippers, causing me to bleed , unbelievable! $21 to have nails cut, after worse service ever! Was alright, but wouldn't go back due to the service. My pedicurist was fairly rough, I got 2 cuts from the exfoliating pumice, I kept flinching and she kept saying "oh you ticklish" .. no, it hurt! She kept changing what I requested and wanting to up-charge me ... did the callous remover instead of the masque treatment I requested, offered a massage (which was supposedly included in the treatment I chose) for "$6 extra", the stone massage was maybe 3 minutes long in total instead of 10, the gel polish is "$18 extra". I was not offered a beverage like everyone else receiving pedicures. Overall fairly disappointing, I can get a $52 pedicure anywhere in San Diego! read more

Finally went in to redeem a gift card today that I was given after the birth of my first child in 2022. I was told the card had $0 on it. I was also told that it would be too old after 2 years. If the company is still in business I would expect the card to hold its value unless otherwise disclosed on the gift card. Sounds sketchy to me. Will not be returning. read more

I visited Styles Nail Spa today around 3:30 with my 4 year old daughter. I asked if someone was available to paint my daughters finger and toe nails. The nail technician directed us to a woman at the last table. My daughter sat down at the table and the lady began to paint her finger nails and then told her to relax in very broken English. My daughter didn't understand her so I said she is telling to relax your fingers. After painting my daughters fingernails the lady came and sat in a low chair and placed my daughters feet on her knees so that she could paint her toes. My daughter leaned back and accidentally rubbed one of her finger nails on the chair. I reminded my daughter that her nails were wet and to be careful. I pointed it out the smudged nail to the woman and asked her to please repaint it. Moments later the woman grabbed my daughter's wrists and jerked her towards her and yelled what sounded like "hold still". I immediately snapped back at the woman and told her not to touch my daughter like that. I don't know if she understood what I said. I was fuming mad. I told the lady at the front what just happened and told her that I wanted someone else to finish my daughters nails. A new woman appeared and was much nicer and had more patience. The previous woman had the nerve to come and try to paint my daughter's smudged finger nail. I shoe'd her hand away and said don't you dare come near my daughter. As I was leaving I once again shared what happened to my daughter with the woman at the front. She said sorry. I asked for the woman's name (Amy) and told them they should never let her provide a service on children. I made my point clear, but left there feeling upset. My 4 year old talked about it the whole way home of how the lady was mean. read more

I honestly wanted to contact the owner first before doing a review. I left very frustrated as well as telling the nail tech i did not like it or think it was pretty and that i would take it off when i got home. On a fair side to the nail techs i did come in close to closing. However I called ahead to make sure it was ok and while there i asked if it would be ok to do nails also and if not i could come back tomorrow. I was assured it was ok. I asked for gel nails and was given regular paint. A wipe on and right off massage for the arms as she showed me how bad it burned for her to do the massage with all her open wounds on her hand. They had no non latex gloves so both nails and toes had to be done with no gloves. The pedicure i had to ask for what came in the package, as she did not want to even touch my toes. Which i get as she had no gloves but if you dont want to then dont. Get someone else. but the toes still have green paint showing nothing was cleaned up. I dont go often so I had wanted to treat myself. I Should have 100% gone when I had ample time to have them fixed. I dont want to be a Karen at all nor am I trying to be. As I stated I wanted to contact them first to have it fixed. I will update my review after seeing if this will be resolved. The ladies seemed very nice in there. I want to again point out that I asked clearly if there was time for a pedicure and was told yes to come in. I asked if there was time for gel mani and said i would come back if there was not. i was told yes there was time. It was not a good experience at all. I hope to be able to go back and have the fix the toe nails and have them all at least round instead of cockeyed and with the green from before all the way off. the fingernails i want gel as i asked for. I would also like for the polish to actually cover both toe nails and fingernails. I will update after the opportunity hopefully arises to have this fixed. I dont have the pics on my computer but I do have them and hopefully i can post a before and after. I just want to be able to review after leaving happy... Got dip polish for the first time and it doesn't look good. The polish is chunky and uneven, it's on my skin and the overall look is cheap. The price is ridiculous, especially for as bad it looks ($51 including a fee to pt with a credit card!). read more

Not only are this people non verbal, but they just looked my way and asked me what I wanted, and completely ignored me. Never once did they stopped to tell me a time frame. Horrible service. I paid for the deluxe pedicure; I was done before my daughter's express pedicure. The technician (and another employee) kept trying to have. me say yes to gel; they wanted an extra $18 for the gel polish. My daughter had gel & they charged her $10 additional. When I asked why gel is more for me they said it was because I got the deluxe pedicure. How does that change the price of gel poliish. She must have asked me 5 or 6 times about getting gel and told me how much longer it lasts, etc. I kept saying not for $18 additional. No massage just quick rubs of the minerals & lotion & hot rocks then bam -done! She used gel polish on me without the light & I asked if that works like polish; she acted like she didn't understand. Didn't offer to assist with putting shoes on and I never had the remote for the massage chair. I've said it before; I'll never go back there....this time was my last time. I normally have the best experience here at Styles Nails & Spa but today I found the service disrespectful. Jason was helping me today. From the moment I sat down he was constantly talking and texting on the phone. He was 3/4 of the way done when he stopped working on my nails and started texting for about 2 minutes while I just sat there watching him. I finally asked him to complete my nails and stop texting and talking on the phone. His response was "well I'm talking to my wife" He did stop when I asked him to but I shouldn't of had to ask him to stop. He said that it was his job because he was the manager. Talking on the phone to his wife and texting is the job of the manager? Also, they are incorrectly charging customers. Walked in ( signs say walk In's welcome) and was told "we don't have time" no one was waiting and plenty of available seats.

Thuy was extremely rude, was talking about me to her friend (I understand Vietnamese), and rushed my nails (she was going to attempt to just put acrylic on top of fungus that had grown!!) I was shocked when she didn't suggest removing the nail. She only did it when I asked her then charged me $4 more. My polish has bubbles in it and they're uneven. She also didn't prime my nails. The whole process literally took no more than 35 mins. She rushed it big time, and they weren't even close to closing!! Bummer. Won't be back. read more

I was a walk in on Monday. I asked if they had time for a gel pedicure, they said yes. The woman seemed annoyed, so I didn't try to make small talk. She definitely rushed the pedicure and for sure didn't get the 10 minute massage, but whatever- toes looked ok... but 2 of the toe nails have completely peeled off since then... it's been 4 days!!!!
