I think this place has unfair reviews and they're super outdated. My brow gal (Snowflake brow threading) just moved in next door and I popped over to get my brows done, and I decided to stop by NailStop to get a basic soak off, and the young lady worked quickly and efficiently. I was so pleased. (Thank u)! I'm certainly picky about my nail spots and this place is clean, and their polish rack is organized with OPI and Essie polish. That is a definite plus for me.. the other cheap brands chip off so quickly it's terrible quality. Anywho. I highly recommend checking this place out. Why not?! read more

Love this little spot just a few minutes down the hill from me. They always seem to have openings when I need a walk in service but I try my best to make appointments when I can. But usually it's a walk in let's be real... I love the hours and that they are open on Sunday's, which is usually the only time I can get away from my kids for a bit. The ladies know what they are doing, they are quick but they don't rush if that makes sense... they never hurry and rush your service if someone walks in. Once again Noone here can wax eyebrows I tried to give the other ladies here a chance and this time, the front of my eyebrow is gone. They look so separate. My besty and I came to get a fill and pedicures. We were taken back right away. As I'm sitting in the chair getting a pedicure I notice my nail tech has LICE. I was so shocked I didn't know what to say so my friend told them. Instead of being nice to us the nail techs were SO RUDE. They said it was none of our business. However being a licensed cosmetologist I know you are not allowed to be at work in contact with other clients because lice can spread easily. My nails were ok not the best, uneven and my gel is kind of bumpy. read more

This nail salon was definitely not worth going to. I had an appointment at 3, didn't get my nails going until 3:30. I honestly don't mind a wait when the work is quality. The nail teach was sloppy and unprofessional. She didn't apply the acrylic nails well and my fingers hurt to the point I need to take off the nails. Not to mention the nails were uneven and shaped different. The nail tech never even looked to see if she filed correctly. The paint job was sub par as well. On top of that the price was $48 dollars. I paid so as to not be rude. But I regret even getting my nails done here. I would not recommend this place to a family member or friend. read more

I lived in lakeside for 5 years from living in Santee, I would always just drive to Santee to get my nails done however I found this little gem and I'm super happy about it! Lee was amazing, she did a great massage and was very gentle with my hang nail! I warned her about not touching it before she started and I didn't even notice her remove it! I went there for the first time and my nails are horrible my sister has been going there and wanted me to try it since it was her birthday. After my appointment I went to the car to call a different place to get in, in the morning to have my nails removed and redone. My sister got the number of the person that runs the shop to express how I do not like them, not what I wanted, and how they should look from a picture I showed the lady and how I would like my money back. The lady has been rude and unprofessional about the situation and has now blocked my sisters number. Today they lost not just one potential client but another one that has been going there for months. They don't even deserve to have one star but you are forced to put at least one. read more

Very disappointed i must say. They usually do a good job but not this time. Went in to change my gel polish wich was supposed to be $15 and was very crapy. They ended up redoing it again. I asjed for a pedicure $17 value its blah ive got better ones done wich is upseting because its a nice cozy place and i try to bring my bussines to small places like this. I ended up payin $36 for both. I must say i dont know why the added $4 extra dolars if i didnt get a manicure and it was a crapy job on their end and i do feel tjey recharged me to do a job agai. Decided to try this place out, a few people recommended it. Ellie (sp) is amazing. She did such a great job on my little girls nails and was very affordable. The older woman who did mine, not so amazing. She was very rough and charged me more for my french manicure than the woman getting acrylics next to me. I go to this nail salon because they are less than a mile from my house and I can walk there. Going to be honest when I first started going, I didn't like it at all, The ladies seemed super rude and I felt a bit like they were Judging me. However, I'm a glutton for punishment, and I kept going back. Like I said super close to my house. As I became more of a regular I fell more in love with the place. Now the ladies are always nice to me and my nails look super great. I broke a nail bowling two days after getting a fill, and I walked back down there to get it fixed, completely expecting to have to pay for it. I mean they didn't do anything wrong, so I figured I'd have to pay. Imagine my surprise when Jenny fixed my nail, and then didn't even charge me. They all giggled when I expressed my delight, and I left a very happy camper. I am now due for another fill, and unfortunately broke the same nail... But they are closed as are all the nail salons around. I'll be moving soon and have to do it with grown out nails. LOL. Definitely not these ladies fault though. read more

Newly renovated and about 3 times larger than it was before. Jenny is awesome. She juggles everything calmly and efficiently. She speaks English very well and I really like the way my nails turn out every time. She's also very creative when it comes to free 'drawing'. She drew a Christmas tree & snowman for me at Christmas and everyone commented on how nice they looked. Very comfortable pedicure chairs. There is a nice little waxing room as well. read more

My first visit here the nail lady that I had did a decent job with my pedicure. It was relaxing and she was very polite and we had a good conversation. She was interested in getting to know me and make me feel comfortable in a new salon. My second visit was the exact opposite. I had an older lady give me my manicure and pedicure. She maybe said a handful of words to me. I sat for a couple of minutes before she looked up and greeted me. The polish on my manicure didn't even cover all of my nails. I asked her if she could paint the sides for me and she did without saying a word to me. Once she was done she cleaned up and walked away without saying another word to me. (She even left my toes with paint all over the sides) The manager looked at me and asked me if I was done since I continued to sit and wait for direction. I told her that my nails were still wet. She asked me to move to a new seat to dry my fingernails in order to give my seat to someone else even though there were two other free seats she could have given to that person. After sitting for a while drying my nails the manager asked if I was done and I told her that I was. She asked me to stay a little longer but at this point I was ready to go. I told her that I was ready to go and she says ok but turns her back on me. I finally ask her who I pay with and she got up from helping her customer to take my cash. Not a comfortable experience at all. Very disappointing to have such lousy customer service. read more

NEVER GOING BACK! I tried giving half a star but it wouldn't let me. Before even sitting down I showed the woman at the front desk 4 pictures of what I wanted. She assured me she could do it and had the colors, then she told me pick the colors... I didn't see the colors so i told her and she assured me again they had them mean while their rushing me to sit down to start my pedicure asked me like 10 times. I said I don't see the colors I'm looking for she again assured me and went to get the colors so I sat down. I told her I want my nails and toes to match again promising me it will be no problem. Not only did my nails look completely NOTHING like what I asked for they are not even near the same color, they started mixing polishes together like a potion to paint my toes but she said it would match so I went along with it. She gave me Shulak on my finger nails and than put Michael's kids craft glitter last minute ON TOP of it to try and salvage what I wanted (from my understanding that's a big NO-NO). If that wasn't bad enough when i was trying to decide if there was anything I could do to fix my nails the woman working on my nails kept rushing me! Saying I need to pick up my kids, hurry and decide while another woman started shutting lights off.....After showing my family them laughing and telling me I should have walked out and not paid. Nail lady doing my friends nails has lice. Saw several lice waking in and out of her hair. After we told them about the lice they were very rude and unprofessional. I was getting my nails done by Jenny. She said she knew how to do ombré after I was hesitant of getting ombré on my nails. I had long beautiful nails when I walked in. Just needed a fill. She made them so thick and uneven and tried getting me out of her chair as soon as possible. I told her to file them down so I can just go somewhere else to get them done. She cut my nails short and filed them a little so they weren't so sharp and that was all. I will never return. She told me she can just put a gel polish on top and it would look better. I said the ombré isn't the problem, it's how thick and uneven they are. Ps. She gave a Brazilian wax and didn't wash her hands before working on another client. She took a cotton ball and put alcohol on it and wiped her hands with it. State board needs to visit ASAP. I will now have to go elsewhere that isn't infested with lice and pay more to get these taken off and then a full set. Never come here! read more

I love this little quaint nail salon. They do an amazing job when it comes to your nails. I am a nail bitter like no other and went to them with nubs and one of the ladies gave me a full set that not only looked really good they actually stayed on until I bit them off which was almost a month later. The ladies are super nice and can carry on a conversation with you about anything. The prices are very decent for San Diego. I was a customer at this shop for about six years. I recently had a knee replacement unfortunately I had to reschedule my appointments often. I had an appointment about 3 weeks ago had my toes and nails done. The owner was very rude when she was doing my nails, and put the wrong color on my nails. I called for an appointment yesterday. She refused to schedule me an appointment. She stated that I changed my appointments too much, and I have to walk in. No thanks not after being treated like this will I ever go back to this shop. read more

I have some to this place for several years. Usually good service, however if you want to have an enjoyable pedicure, avoid Kim. She cut me, very rough with scrubbing and during the "foot massage" she was done within just minutes. Meanwhile the client had Ellie who took her time and appeared very relaxed. Kim did not speak to me except to tell me to hold my leg up for my massage. Very poor experience, as a nurse on my feet for over 12 hours, this was not relaxing. I will not be coming back. read more

They always do a lovely job with my pedicure (with nail design) and eyebrow waxing. They are very friendly and have reasonable rates. This is my go-to spot.
