Very pleased with our experience. For those of us that don't buy suits all the time...yes, it was an experience. The owner was exceptional, personable and helped us refine our choices. It can be overwhelming if you see a bunch of patterns, styles, and prices. He helped is with our specific needs. We walked away very pleased with 2 suits, 2 shirts, a belt and a tie clip for very reasonable price. Suits take alot of work to make...so yeah...we were happy with our choices. It's located on Rose (but the address is Lockwood)...behind Chic Fil A. They have a tailor they recommend which is a few stores away. Easy if you want to use them or use your own. The owner ensures and educates (if needed)...and we did...on what it important in the fit of a suit and what can easily be altered, etc. We will be recommending to our Navy and regular ol' people friends too. This store is a gem. I found out last minute I needed a suit for a wedding and first I try the mall, I go into 3 different stores and get either no help or the wrong help and the suits were overpriced and clearly inferior. I'm scrambling to try to find a place and I stumble upon this store. The owner is super helpful. He stayed 30 minutes past closing to help me out. He sized me, found the right suit and helped pick out a complimentary shirt, tie and cufflinks. I got everything for just over 300 dollars and it's a very high quality suit. The best part is that he is in direct contact with the owner of Alexis Bridal in the building over and told her how I needed my suit altered in a day. No problems! I just went in to get a suit for my aunts funeral..since I didn't go with the 380.00 suit the owner tried to hussle me on my alteration ..when he said it was free with the purchase of the suit...my suit was 320.00 bit after alterations was going to end up paying 380.00 to 400 dollars...be careful..theyll try suckering you when your getting fitted..I walked out..just a warning will never go back... read more

You won't find any better personable service anywhere like you'll get here. I just went in to look, after going into Men's Warehouse, Nordstrom Rack and Macy's for a suit for my son's wedding. At those places you'll find over priced suits and/or no one around to help you. Jim greeted me with a huge smile and big handshake and the first thing that came out of his mouth was, "thank you for coming in, I really appreciate it, how can I help you". (that NEVER happens anywhere) He was knowledgeable and attentive like he really cared. Never felt rushed and absolutely no sales BS. We ordered five suits at 180 a piece back in Feb for a wedding in June. We were told to put down a deposit for the suits to avoid any trouble with ordering during prom season. We put down $400 the same day. Mid April comes along and still no call. We call and they claim they never received a deposit. We showed them the receipt and they finally place the order. They finally come in but not with the ties so we wait another week so we can pick up all together. Finally (second week of May) came in to pick them up and we let them know one of the groomsmen already paid $180 for his. Again due to lack of documentation on his part we show him the receipt and he still charges us $80 more. We go back and he continues to argue with us until he does the math and realizes he did over charge us. Finally we were able to get a refund. If your planing a wedding go to another place. Both Jim and Ed were very argumentative, condescending, full of excuses and incompetent in documenting what was already paid for. Please keep your receipts! read more

Came here on a reccomendation from a friend. I wasn't deterred by the appearance in the least. I came in here with high hopes. They had plenty of sizes but selection was still rather limited. The fit on these suits are very typical, they were rather large with a loose fit that reminded me of what our fathers would wear. Not really the style i was looking for. The guy that tried to help us sounded like he knew a lot and was very helpful, from someone inexperience it would have pushed them into believing him. Luckily for me, I know a bit more about suits and how they should fit properly. Ended up heading to Macys and JCPenny, found a perfectly fitted tailored suit off racks from the latter. Horrible customer service. Owner tries to rip you off. Purchased 5 suits at $180 each. Paid for one suit with $100 down and $80 worth of suits turned in. Groom went to pick up suits and the owner tried to say the 5th suit wasn't paid for and only $100 was put down. Had receipts, he even marked down on our invoice that mine was paid for yet tried to charge us an extra $80! - completely ignoring the suits that were turned in. The first time I went here it was quick and easy, maybe because he got my money. But I will never come back here again. The owner is condescending and shady. Better to take your business elsewhere where there is a better selection, cheaper and better customer service! Never again! read more

So I was called to pick up some piece work doing executive security. I only own a dark gray suit and the job calls for an all-black suit, white shirt and black tie. Since I had just quit my part time a few days later and still had not received my check form my current job I was short on cash. My budget was about the same for my gray suit which cost me about 150 out the door from Macys. While I read the reviews to this store and figured I take the drive from Santa Barbara to see what they had to offer. After finding the store, which is not hard to find if you have GPS. I was a little disappointed, because it didn't look like much from outside. As I walked through the first door I seen some suits on display and curiosity started, then I walked through the second door and WOW... i was speechless, so many suits, shirts, ties, socks a true gents dream and the deals on the wall, two suits, shirts, ties and socks for 299! That is above and beyond discounted pricing! I don't think anyone can beat Jims pricing on suits. Besides the great deals the customer service is informative and really makes you feel good about your choice, no pressure at all. I came in and told Jim I was a 42s, and he said let me size you. I was actually a 44s and the coast he picked for me on his first section fit like a glove. Let alone it looks great! It looks more than a 100 dollars great. My friend had a Calvin Klein suit on later at our event that was 400 dollars and next to mine it looked bland. He even sent me to his tailor to have my suit adjusted that same day. I showed up at 12, got my suit within 30 minutes after trying to different fits, then took my suit to the tailor and by 430 I was out of town on my way back to Santa Barbara to get ready for my event. When I showed up I got many compliments, everyone had remembered my night before from my dark gray suit. When they asked where I went I told them the suit outlet in Oxnard, when I told them the price.... jaws dropped, the guys got upset and felt ripped off. I was really happy with my buy, and will be returning in the next couple weeks to do the two suit deal! Jim is a great guy, and leads in customer service, remember be patient because he does have a lot of people that come in. You can see him running around to address everyone's needs and that shows his dedication to the customer, and equality. But that's the point; he makes sure to stay on his toes even if he is stretching to bring you that A+ service! Thanks JIM!!!!!! So this is the same place that used to be off Rose by the chick fil-A. I bought a suit from them when they were in their old location years ago but had no idea that they moved to Vineyard. I was super happy with the suit I bought back then, and fast forward a couple of years I'm super happy with the suit I bought from them a couple weeks ago. This is a fun shop! I have tried on hundreds of suits at Men's Wear House or Joseph A Bank and they never fit. I was convinced that suits just don't fit me. I lift weights and am near 60 inches around the shoulders with a 36 inch waist at 5' 9" so it has been difficult. In 30 seconds I was in a suit that fits. It needs some tailoring which has to be done off site. But it was a fun and enjoyable experience I highly recommend going here for your suit needs. read more

My suit search ended, here. Although, this place is in Oxnard behind Del Taco on Rose Avenue. The salesman was really knowledgeable and sharply dressed. There are few places I am impressed by, however, this place really impressed me. When I bought my suit, the shirt an tie were included, so the price is reasonable. The drawback, they do not do alterations, though. They have a place they refer you to, which, is quite reasonable as well. read more

On a mission to find my fiancee something to wear for our upcoming wedding we went to The Suit Outlet to check out their selection and prices. We knew we really didn't want to rent a tux, and if we were going to spend the money we may as well buy a nice suit that can be used for years to come. Certain other men's stores have lots of overwhelming advertisements so we knew what their prices were... and we are also aware of how uncomfortable and awkward those places can be. We were looking for no nonsense and honesty and that's exactly what we got. Jim Stitch was kind, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. Not only did we leave with 2 suits (one grey, one black), 2 shirts, 2 ties, a vest, and suspenders for under $400, we also left with some great new knowledge. Jim was excellent with showing us more "traditional" wedding attire as well as humoring us with the more flashy version. For anyone in need of a suit I absolutely recommend going to The Suit Outlet. Had to pick out a couple of new suits due to my regular suits being unavailable for when I needed them. "The Suit Outlet" (Hollywood Studioz Outlet) was the first and only place I stopped. The store is neat, it has a very nice variety, and had several "deals" at different price points. Jim was very knowledgeable and took the time to understand what I needed the suits for and made excellent recommendations based off of the information I gave him. In the past, the worst part about suit shopping was trying to get the experienced opinion of the salesperson without that same salesperson trying to upscale you and laying out so many clothes it would take hours to get through. As I said, I explained to Jim what I needed the suits for, the quality's was looking for, and the price I had in mind. My expectations were exceeded in all areas.
