Amazing time getting my second suit from this company. Owner takes pride in his business and really has good employees working there. You are greeted from the second you walk in and if they are helping someone else there is plenty to look at while you wait. The employee still will try to engage with you as they help other people. I have had a very bad experience with the tailoring at Stych. When I went to pickup the suit after tailoring, the initial jacket issue wasn't corrected. So I waited for them to try it again - the jacket was even worse. So I waited for the next attempt - center line was now curved and off to the left. The pants? The waist line was so tight that the pockets bulged out along with the zipper cover. Thier response was that that's a correct fit (what?). Price wise - they are rather high, in my opinion (eg. price out the shirts, ties, suits and tailoring). read more

We had high hopes when my fiancée bought a "high end suit" and alternations were included. I was shocked at the poor customer service and mediocre alterations at this store! We were excited... until the red flags started: 1) suit arrived, one size bigger & had to wait for new order 2) arrived when advised alternations # 1 were completed - pant hems wrong length, waist cinched too high, created noticeable creases. Jacket untouched 3) arrived when advised alternations # 2 were completed - pants somewhat fixed in the crotch area, jacket sleeves uneven. all the marking gone, had to chalk the suit all over again 3) arrived when advised alternations # 3 were completed - pant hems now uneven. Back of the jacket pulled too tight, sleeves still uneven & buttons crunched on 1 sleeve. 4) arrived when advised alternations # 4 were completed - attempted to fix the jacket fitting overall 5) arrived when advised alternations # 5 were completed - still not fixed & tired of arguing with the owner Jim and his staff. We finally gave up! Every time, they tried to justify it was ok and said it would be fixed. Each time, they failed with the alternations and excuses. Posting this review to share our experience. We do not live close to Oxnard, so traveling every Friday for 5+ weeks was over the top annoying. read more

The last suit I purchased was 8 years ago. On Wednesday I went out to find a suit having no idea what I was looking for. It was for a somber occasion, and I needed it by Saturday. I'm a long time resident in Oxnard and I knew where the "Men's Warehouse" was off the 101 highway. Nice salesperson showed me what the current styles were and who the best brands were. Unfortunately, they did not have my size, but he suggested this other store called "Stych." Never heard of them, but I went there to see what they had. Talk about AWSOME....David and Rosie had me thinking I was shopping in Beverly Hills!! They schooled me on fabric, colors, brands, styles, and a basic education on how you should look and how you should feel when you wear a suit. Within 30-45 minutes they found my suit, my color, and my fabric. I found the correct shirt, tie, and kerchief with their help. I even sent the wife a picture of the items before I purchased them and she told me they were "spot on." Of course the suit needed some tailoring. Like I said, this was a Wednesday and I needed it by Friday. Rosie basically said "I got you." I get a call that evening that my suit was ready. UNBELIEVEABLE!! I did not know customer service like this still existed. My sincere appreciation to Rosie and David for their expertise and efforts with my purchase that day. The suit looked and felt great. To the owner of Stych.........I don't know what their employment packages consist of but, bonuses and extra compensation should be included or their skills might be recognized by one of your competitors or some Beverly Hills "Clothier." Hard sales on crappy quality suits. Paid well over hundred dollars for alterations on two suits purchased from here. The guy did measurements on one and said they copy them to both suits. First red flag was suits not done when they promised with no phone call. We had to call and leave messages. Then finally they called and said we can pick up one suit. Alterations were not as great as we expected but ok. Once suit was worn a few times buttons on cuffs started to fall off. The fabric looked kinda sparkly and cheap in and sun . We got the call second suit was done, husband went and alterations were wrong and the jacket was way too small. The guy said something like "we're not perfect, we're not robots but let me ask you which way is your weight going"? (My husband is a big guy) . My husband told him he does want to lose weight but he needs the suit to fit right now and we paid for the suit and alterations that he measured . He said ok and they would fix it. Again, no phone calls we had to start calling my husband went and again and the guy tried to put a completely different suit on my husband. He said it was practically made out of felt it was so cheap. Like cheaper than the other cheap suit. The guy was rude, my husband requested a refund . He said no way for the refund. They don't refund on alterations. My husband had to go back-and-forth with this hard sales guy about how It's their fault alterations are wrong and that we been waiting over a month. In the end he gave my husband a PARTIAL refund and we had to suck up the loss. NEVER AGAIN!! The guy is a fast talking name dropping jerk. I went on JCPennys website , plugged in my husbands size and bought him 2 Stafford suits and a Michael Strahan suit for a better price and the quality is 100 times better!!!The suit from Stych got dropped off at the Goodwill after another button fell off and rolled down the isle at church. This experience was awful, between listening to his fast talk, lack of communication, and basically making my husband feel bad about his weight when their seamstress made a major mistake!! There's only one word to describe Rosie, and that's Awesome! I stopped by the first time, just to get ideas and (even though it was surprisingly busy) Rosie took her time to share her expertise on choices, sizes, etc. I thanked her and returned the next day with my wife and (even though it was busier than the day before) Rosie expertly and patiently walked me through my options, including shirts, tie, socks, shoes and a belt. I've always shopped at Men's Warehouse but ever since I wandered into Stych ONCE, I've never looked back. The quality is phenomenal, the owners Jim Stych and Sharon are some of the sweetest people I have ever met, and that definitely shows in the people they have chosen to hire as well. Rudy, the suit sales guru, was incredibly helpful, and not only did he pick out a perfect ensemble for myself, but I also mentioned the budget I wanted to stick around, and he was able to keep it within that range. Jim, and all of his staff, are insanely knowledgeable on even the smallest details; whether it be the style of suit, the time period of suit, the material of suit, even the color matching of suits, they have it down to a science. Juanita, the tailor and adjustment special was super sweet and very, very helpful. Oftentimes, to get fully fitted, it can take about 30mins to an hour or so... my measurements AND adjustments to the suit were completed in maybe 10 minutes, probably less. I haven't even gotten to the best part yet either; every single suit that Stych showcases, INCLUDES, the pants/slacks with it. No extra charge, no hidden fees, because as he said to me once "you can't have a completed suit without pants, that shouldn't be extra." I can not stress this enough, if you have never been to their Men's Boutique store, it is a MUST. The friendliest staff AND owners I have ever experienced, and there's no wonder that they are in the process of opening a second location at Portside Ventura Harbor. They've earned a customer/guest for life, and I hope everyone has a chance to experience their store/customer service at least once! read more

Men's warehouse really screwed my suit up by giving me a different colored top from my pants. so i searched a bit and found out about hollywood studios design, and i'm sure glad i did! I showed up there on a Saturday night in a panic and in need of a couple of items I had left at home before a formal event. Alexis got me what I needed and sent me on my way fast. The next morning I returned to check out the suits with my wife. Alexis and my wife picked out exactly what I thought was a couple of excellent suits. So one of my issues is that I'm a big guy and I went to a couple of places to try to find just a coat a suit coat went to Men's Wearhouse and had to wait for a long time wasn't happy with that when I was attended to and tried on jackets the guy said that the coat that I was trying on looks a tent ha ha a tent and recommend to "stitch suit superstore"and he walked away from me so I came to stitch and wow the service here unbelievable they attended to me in a professional manner took care of me and for the price that I was gonna spend for a coat at Men's Wearhouse I got the whole complete suit with having my pants fixing the coat length fixed on my arms all for a lower price than what just a coat would've cost me these guys are awesome I'm coming back and I will definitely recommend them great job guys read more

It can be overwhelming if you see a bunch of patterns, styles, and prices. He helped is with our specific needs. We walked away very pleased with 2 suits, 2 shirts, a belt and a tie clip for very reasonable price. Suits take alot of work to make...so yeah...we were happy with our choices. It's located on Rose (but the address is Lockwood)...behind Chic Fil A. They have a tailor they recommend which is a few stores away. Easy if you want to use them or use your own. The owner ensures and educates (if needed)...and we did...on what it important in the fit of a suit and what can easily be altered, etc. We will be recommending to our Navy and regular ol' people friends too. I found out last minute I needed a suit for a wedding and first I try the mall, I go into 3 different stores and get either no help or the wrong help and the suits were overpriced and clearly inferior. I'm scrambling to try to find a place and I stumble upon this store. The owner is super helpful. He stayed 30 minutes past closing to help me out. He sized me, found the right suit and helped pick out a complimentary shirt, tie and cufflinks. I got everything for just over 300 dollars and it's a very high quality suit. The best part is that he is in direct contact with the owner of Alexis Bridal in the building over and told her how I needed my suit altered in a day. No problems! They actually liquidate (and also supply) Hollywood production companies' stock of everything from suits and slacks to women's formal dresses, baby clothes, jeans, designer purses, etc., and even some small Hollywood interior props (like vases, picture frames, and throw pillows). It's a neat store and you get a hell of a deal on brand new designer clothing (with tags still on), and even better deals on previously rented formal wear (and clothing used once or twice for shows and movies). Both gentlemen I spoke with were helpful and informative.
