    I chose this place -Stu's- to repair my transmission because it had good reviews here on Yelp. My experience with Stu's (Jake - partial owner) did not go well, however. This is a lengthy review but I hope it is helpful to others seeking transmission repair. So here it goes... My transmission had multiple issues : it had a traction control light which resulted in it getting locked in park at times and it would not exceed 40mph when it was driving. I took it into Stu's and they did a diagnostic. They told me that the TCM module had to be looked at and the internal mode switch had to be replaced and that doing so would require them to take apart the transmission. Jake informed me that this would take 2-3 days for $1,140. I agreed to do the work as it seemed reasonable to me and they had good reviews so I was pretty sure that things would go well; but i was wrong. I left my car there and 2-3 days turned into 3 weeks. They ordered the wrong part 2 times. Jake never called me to update me; I had to keep calling him as he is bad with communication; his response every time was "I'll call you back by 1:15" and of course I would not get a call. When Stu's finally "fixed" my car, the next morning I still had the same exact issue with my transmission. Over the next 2 months I took my car in 2 more times (3 times total) for the same issue- of course utilizing my right to return with the warranty on the parts and labor. However, Stu's could not fix the very issue they said was the reason for my transmission problem. My car would revert back to the same initial problem within hours of driving every time I left their shop. They clearly didn't know what they were doing. I believe they would just reset the computer (TCM) kind of like resetting your car for temporary removal of a check engine light. So Stu's (Jake) gave me the option of using the $1,140 I spent towards replacing the transmission for 4k. And after 2 1/2 months of work on this transmission, I needed a new transmission, according to Stu's. I requested money back since they hadn't done anything but replace parts that didn't work- there was no warranty anymore since nothing had been fixed. After about 2 weeks of calling Jake everyday he agreed to reimburse me $400. After all of that mess with Stu's, I took my car to the Chevy dealer. They said my transmission was still good and diagnosed the problem to be the TCM and internal mode switch, the same thing that Stu's said was the issue but that they could not fix -after taking my car 3 times. The Chevy dealer fixed my car after 2 weeks and I have been driving it for 1 month without any problems. So for anyone with an unusual or rare transmission problem, I DO NO RECOMMEND Stu's: You may end up wasting a lot of $$$$$, wasting a lot of time, having to call the business for your own update, and leave with your car not being fixed.

    My car was way overdue for a maintenance.

He answers his phone within two rings, never says no, and always finds a solution to any car issue. He's transparent, reliable, and truly prioritizes his work ethic over money. They always get me in and out within minutes. Before moving to Long Beach, I only went to the dealership for any car problems. Once I moved, I wanted something more convenient and now I'll never go back to a dealership again. Today I went in for a service, and George let me know my tires weren't looking good. I told him I agreed (they were long overdue for a change), and he immediately connected me with his friend down the street. I ended up getting brand-new tires for an amazing price, the deal was so good it almost felt unreal. Once again, it was all thanks to George and his connections. As a woman, it means a lot that he doesn't try to exploit my lack of car knowledge. Instead, he educates me and treats me with respect. Even after moving to Santa Clarita, I'll continue coming back because no one compares to George and the service here. Im a forever customer. Thank you George and your team! Highly recommend!

However, I couldn't give 5 stars because the shop layout itself was a bit disappointing. It looked like only one or two cars could realistically be serviced at a time, which made the operation seem limited. Additionally, the person who initially came out to help didn't appear very knowledgeable and didn't seem like he had the authority to make decisions on behalf of the company. It's good to know this business is around and available in the area, but based on my experience I probably won't be returning here for service.

My dad was present while Cesar worked on my car, and my dad gave me such a glowing review of how Cesar worked. My dad has not been able to stop talking about how Cesar did an amazing job on my car, how clean he works, how he keeps his tools, and his communication. My dad was so impressed with the quality of work Cesar provided on my car that he decided to get a quote for replacing his rotors. When Ceasr finished on my car, he let me know that my brake fluid was not in good condition. He drained my brake fluid and replaced it with new fluid. He explained to me in detail that brake fluid should not be topped off. I had no idea, and apparently, my dad didn't know either, and we had topped it off because it was low. Now, I know, for future reference, that when it's low, I should replace my brakes. I appreciate the work that Cesar did on my car and his communication. I will absolutely use his service again and recommend him to friends and family.

To my demise I thought their was something ultimately wrong with my car due to the loud noise it was making. When I looked on yelp for specialist in this field Eddie stood out because of his reviews so I thought to try him out after all what do I have to lose. When I spoke to eddie on the phone he reassured me of a lot of concerns and stresses I was thinking of and dealing with. I'm not going to lie once reaching his shop I didn't know what to expect plus I was dealing with anxiety from the whole situation. Little did I know meeting not only made my day better but he also fixed my car by exposing me to alternative solutions. He truly turned a day that appeared like a nightmare to me more of a blessing (learning lesson) and made me feel kind of dumb for how overworked I was about this particular situation. I mean wouldn't you be if someone stole something from underneath your car !!!!!
