Full disclaimer I'm a young, single woman who went in alone. I had totaled my car and was not only in a rush to do things but I've never done this before. In the past I was apparently spoiled going directly to the Honda dealership. I saw an ad for the 2021 Honda Clarity that I was looking for online, went from Boston out to Worcester, test drove the car, put down $200 as a deposit while waiting for the check for my insurance. The car had 120k miles on it but is otherwise in wonderful condition from what I can see. It was listed for about $15k but when I came in I was pleasantly surprised they can take $4k off the top as an electrical vehicle tax credit. It seemed like a no-brainer. Now it's screaming scam. I was transparent with the manger, Yana, who I dealt with every step of the way that I hadn't done this before and was looking for guidance. She miscommunicated with me in multiple ways including the best form of payment, when to insure the new vehicle and that the sales tax ($1k) was not included in the price but expected at the RMV. My paperwork says I paid the tax at the dealer then was shocked to have to pay again. Screaming scam. When I went to get the car inspected it immediately failed. There was a safety issue in the front left wheel. I called Yana and she ordered the parts and had me come in the next week for her mechanic to fix the car. This was extremely upsetting. I just spent $11k on a car and they didn't even apologize for the serious error. They said "mistakes happen" and refused to compensate me for my horrible experience. When expressing my frustrations with Yana, the owner (her dad) came out of nowhere and took control of the conversation. He was extremely rude and dismissive and refused to give me the name of the mechanic who supposedly fixed the car. They don't have a mechanic on site and drove it somewhere down the road. It was all very shady. They had initially asked me to write a review so when I took my phone to take pictures of the place they got extremely offended and said "we're done here" and threated to call the police. We actually are not done here. I'll be in touch with the BBB and my lawyer. I really tried not to judge a book by its cover but the place is also filthy inside and out. It's dark, dingy and the "waiting area" are literal dog beds. When I went in I was jumped on by multiple dogs. So unprofessional.

I called and spoke to the owner of ARKAN AUTO SALES, Farook, who took his time and described where he purchased the vehicle and it's condition and I could just tell this guy is an honest person to deal with. So I made an appointment to see the vehicle and it was exactly as he described, long story short we came to an agreed purchase price and after getting the required paperwork Ins, binder RMV registration and plates, I brought it home to get it inspected, guess what, it failed for a minor parking brake adjustment. All I did was call Farook and he took care of everything instantly, the repair was honored and it passed the same day. And this is why I am writing this review, because the transaction was completed yet Farook went above and beyond to stand behind his product! I am certainly going to recommend ARKAN Auto sales and Farook along with his father Omar and Farook's brother Abdula at their family owned shop who quickly adjusted the parking brake and also replaced a license plate bulb and a backup bulb that they brought to my attention while taking care of the parking brake adjustment. We had a poor experience with our 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee in their service department. We had…read morepreviously taken it there with positive results (ignition recall handled well) but this was unfortunately different. The vehicle died overnight with a cigarette cell charger plugged in (no phone hooked up) and we figured that killed the battery. We jumped it and moved on. Next day, it was dead again. Tested the battery and it came back good so we replaced the alternator. It died again. Replaced the battery, it died again. Something was draining the battery overnight. When we first brought it to Chris, after explaining what had been done already, he said "Are you sure you didn't leave a light on?" and we were a bit insulted. Who replaces an alternator and battery but leaves a light on? No lights were left on and that question was ridiculous, given the circumstances. This was followed by other seemingly foolish possibilities like: back latch not closed hard enough or a CD in the stereo. These were each trips to the dealer and costs without solving the issue. It was determined that something was drawing power and as I understand it now, systems within the vehicle needed to be disconnected until the cause was found while testing the draw. After $500+ spent, they were not able to find or fix the issue. Guzik had previously told me they'd not be able to fix it without thousands of dollars and weeks. In 1.5 hours of labor Spencer Chrysler in Warren found it. Part + labor = $420. I would not recommend Guzik to anyone for service. Maybe their sales department is better but I won't try that out either. When you bring your vehicle to them, you trust them to be knowledgeable about the vehicle make they're affiliated with but I would not suggest trusting them to repair anything with any complexity at all. Oil change? Sure. Brakes? Probably. Power issue? NO!
