I hired Stuff Haulers to move a very heavy cast iron bathtub to a shop where they refinished and then to bring it back to my apartment. A great moving experience. I spoke with Rudy during my initial call. He was friendly and made me feel great about the whole process; no small thing given how stressful a moving experience can be. First - in the interest of full disclosure, I utilized Stuff Haulers on June 22nd, 2016 after Rudy lobbied me " hard" . So things may have changed since then. I reached out to several junk removal companies after looking on Yelp and reached out to 3 of them with Stuff Haulers being one. Rudy. of Stuff Haulers, sent me copies of customer praises, stated that instead of just throwing things out, he donates items to a charity and texted me that he provided "white glove service on a foundation of integrity". As Donald Trump would say " WRONG!" Rudy texted me an estimate based on the following items: 3 mattresses, small grill, bamboo chair, DESK, 2 plastic chairs. small 3 shelf cabinet and several other items. He stressed that he was "giving me a good deal". I say okay and agree to the price. I instruct Rudy to meet my son at the residence because I would be at work. Rudy goes to my residence and starts to quibble with son, who calls me on the phone, about the price because (he said) I neglected to mention the desk. I have reviewed my text and that is simply not true, But that is not the worst part; I asked my son to put Rudy on the phone; Rudy's manner was demeaning and rude, he intimates to meet that he will not move the desk without additional funds. I felt like Rudy was trying to corral me; intimidate me into paying much more than I had originally agreed. No. I am sorry but I think I missed the desk in my estimate ; but MORE LIKE: YOU DIDNT 'T TELL ME ABOUT THE DESK AND i TOLD YOU i WAS GIVING YOU A GOOD PRICE, ETC. Of course I was shocked but I was also very very angry- remember, I am not at home, my son is late teens, and "Rudy" is speaking to me over the phone in one of the most unprofessional manners that I have heard. So, I told him to just leave the desk and I will dispose of it myself. I waited this long to make sure I was not over reacting; I am certain I am not.
