We stopped in after some coffee nearby and my wife and nephew looked around for a bit and tried on a bunch of different jewelry while there. The pricing here is very affordable, and the customer service was excellent, they were there to answer any questions you had, but no to overbearing on your pressuring you with anything. We learned afterwards that this was the original flagship store, kind of a cool detail. I would recommend this spot to anyone, it's very affordable and had lots of options too. As a bonus there's a coffee shop inside also, they've got snacks/treats to go along with the coffee options too, I'm guessing people stop in here for coffee just by itself.

We went mid week knowing there was a 15$ discount for non weekend days. Our 1st time with needle piercing. The longest part with a minor in needing documentation of a gov/ state ID. Seriously TX.. it seems like theres more laws around minors getting their ears pierced or gender bathroom drama vs gun ownership.. insane. Not STUDS fault. Nice folks who helped us feel comfortable right from hello, helped us pick out flat back studs for my daughters 2nd piercing. All in was about 170.00ish. $50 per ear then the flat back studs $35ish for each. Pain level 5 out of 10 (10 being worst) with the needle method vs mall gun 8/10 says my middle school daughter who gets very anxious quickly. She said is was just a pinch like getting a flu shot. All in all we'd go back. The piercer was very good with infection control (i work in the medical field). They marked the spot and wasn't rushing when we decided on the optimal spot. Paperwork took longer than the 2, 2nd hole piercings. My daughters eat wasn't red hot like the blunt mall gun post needle procedure. Id go back to get more piercings even with the cost being a lot more than the gun piercing method at the malls. Would be super fun to come with friends to get the ear dazzled and take home a bit o Austin.

I've gotten three piercings from Studs and I always have a wonderful experience. Marissa did my last piercing, and she was such a great help. I wanted to get a daith piercing, but she thought a rook piercing would look better because of the structure of my ear, and she was so right. I had two very…read morenegative experience with her, once during my initial piercing appointment and again yesterday when I went for my follow up appointment. I do admit that I do like the two piercings she did but outside of that my interactions with her was yucky . So I take partial blame for my bad judgment to return there for my piercing check up appointment to downsize my flat back post. When I showed up for my piercing check up appointment, Miranda dismissively told me she had no way to downsize my flat back posts because she was out of stock. This was a shock because not only because I drove 45 minutes to get to this appointment but also because shortening the backs is a PRIMARY reason for a check up appointment (I called the NJ and FL location to verify this is true). In addition , the online customer service also said "Hi there, thanks for reaching out! A check-up appointment is a follow-up visit to ensure your piercing is healing properly and to downsize the flat back post for a more comfortable fit." So yes, it's reasonable to expect them to have the necessary inventory in stock to complete a piercing check up. Both Miranda and her manager tried to gaslight me into believing this is not true. Why not call me to say she is out of inventory? Why not put a disclaimer during the appointment making process? On top of here "whatever, too bad, too sad" ‍ attitude - she then BLAMED ME for not calling to confirm her inventory!!!! No where on the website or during the appointment making process does it indicate the customer should contact the piercing studio to ensure inventory. Miranda then also suggested I go to another piercing studio to have the back shortened. However, I did try this, including at Diablo piercing where they said they were uncomfortable working on someone else's stuff and to go to the original piercer. I hope they replace Miranda because sadly she is the only piercer at that location and customers have no choice but to deal with her. She unfortunately has free rein to be openly rude to customers without repercussions. The manager I spoke to on the phone the following day said I could return another day when Miranda is re-stocked with supplies. But after two very negative interactions with Miranda, I will not subject myself to that a third time. This means I must make the 3 Hour driver to the Houston location to complete my piercing check up appointment and have my flatback downsized. Beware of this location, avoid Miranda and her enabling manager.
