My only gripe with this place was how long it took to get our food. I think we waited maybe 25 minutes to get our food. We mostly came for the pizza and the baseball theme. I didn't realize how full I would be. We could have shared a pizza. The beer cheese was AMAZING! Best beer cheese I've ever had. Though it came after our pizza, which was backwards than we were expecting. We sat at one of the tables that had the baseball cards, which was really cool. It was entertaining while we waited for our food. I really enjoyed The Heater. The honey drizzle and peppers were an interesting flavor to a pizza. I'd eat it again. The crust was a bit chewy. They even had an interesting demonstration with a torch, a rod, and a beer. I would love to come back simply for the pretzel and to try the s'mores pizza. There is a new brewery in Chesapeake! It's located in the same business center as Pale Horse (their first location) and Kaper's Eatery. Parking can be found in the center lot. If you're a baseball fan, you'll get a kick out of this spot! I, personally am not a baseball fanatic, but I love a good theme and appreciate the details. You can tell they really thought this through from the decor, the kids play area (love the "You're killin' me smalls" art mural), the staff's attire and down to the menu prices (you'll see the numbers are not the typical cent endings)! I asked our guy who was helping us and told us the owner made different menu category items to reflect baseball stat numbers... no idea, but love the thought! I'm sure he had fun coming up with the concept! Even though their specialty is beer, can't speak on that because your gal is the automatic DD in this marriage. Plus, not a fan of beer, so if you're like me, the nonalcoholic options are root beer, fountain, sodas, and water. They also have Mott's apple juice boxes , if you like juices. For the kids, they have a Little League section with three items that include two different types of small pizzas, and a modified version of their Bavarian pretzel. If you order a kids meal, the drink is included. My youngest ordered the Bambino pizza and my oldest got The Bus salad, and added grape tomatoes. The bus salad is their version of a Cesar salad with a Romaine wedge. They both seemed to enjoy their meals. Now onto my department, the food. We got the Bavarian pretzel to start and the menu mentions that the pizzas are personal size, so we decided to each get our own pizzas. Husband got the "Is this heaven? No, it's pepperoni" pizza and I got the Figley Field sans the goat cheese. You can add hot honey on any of the pizzas at no extra charge. Bavarian pretzel - large pretzel and great for sharing. I loved the beer cheese dip! Pizzas - as I mentioned, the menu indicates that they are personal pizzas, but my husband and I thought that they were actually quite large. Maybe it's just us. Had we known, we would have probably gotten only one pizza to split, since we had filled up on the pretzel. All the pizzas are made to order and were made fresh which I appreciated. My husband was slightly disappointed with the lack of meaty options for pizzas since they seem to be the main food item, but he seem to enjoy his pepperoni pizza. He loves hot honey. I enjoyed my Figley field pizza. Loved the combo of the fig spread, bacon, prosciutto with the red onions and fresh arugula. However, I think I will go without the hot honey next time as the combination of fig spread and honey was slightly too sweet. The only thing I would suggest is maybe tweaking the dough to add a bit more chewiness to the crust. I thought it was a bit overdone and too crunchy. We ended up packing up half our pizzas to take home! Generous portions! The guy who helped us was also a nice bonus to our visit. Super laid back, but also very polite and checked on us often! Second time here. Drink service was fast both times. Food service is beyond slow. 2 practice items and 1 pizza should not take almost an hour. Fine dining this is not. The pretzel needed a brush of butter but the pub mustard was delicious. A pizza was $22 and barely a medium on thin crust. I had to remind our server of the to go pizza. There was a good crowd here on a Thursday night and kids were entertaining themselves in the play area. Service was friendly but slow. One server in particular spent at least 80% of the hour we were in the restaurant talking to the guests at one table while the other two servers scrambled to keep up with the rest of the customers. The menu consists mainly of pizzas/Strombolis and salads. My son ordered a salad, adding chicken for an up-charge. Expecting at least half a chicken breast, considering the price, we were disappointed to see that what he was served was maybe three chicken nuggets cut into small pieces. My Stromboli was okay but definitely on the small side. Finally, while the beers are listed at ABV's from about 4.5 to 7.5, every beer in my flight tasted watered down. I went there for the first time to have a few beers and order pizza to go since I heard it was good. Beer was good. The pizza was like cardboard (dry and hard to eat) and I did not order the gluten free. I'm not sure what the buzz is all about with the pizza but I will not pay $22 for a 12" pizza from there again. Not good. If the owner is Italian then he should be ashamed of himself and his Italian family should disown him for producing pizza that bad. On a somewhat positive note; it seems to be a good place for families. Lots of kids in baseball uniforms running around however I'm not sure if it's legal for them to sit at the bar which is what experienced when I ordered and drank my beer at the bar trying to watch a game. Can't comment on food nor beer. I have been wanting to try this brewery for a while and finally stopped in. Not sure if this is normal or common but there were more kids running around than adults and not a place I wanted to stay to try some beers. Reminded me of a Chuck E Cheese than a brewery. A newly opened Brewery in Chesapeake and it's just what could have hoped for!!! Went there for a birthday celebration and the place was slam packed on a Friday night. I'm so glad this place is having such a successful start!! We waited about an hour for a table but the staff and owner were very helpful as we waited. Tables are on a first-come basis and we had a large party so it was kinda expected. Once we got seated our server was very helpful and attentive. The house beers were all very good but my favorite, and apparently the crowd favorite was the IPA, the stout was also very good! We got a couple Pretzels to share and they were amazing! Salads were also good and the pizza's were definitely top 3 in chesapeake but I'm picky about my pies. It's baseball themed and they did a terrific job with it!! The food and the beer here is good. It's great that there is a kids area to play and it is very family friendly over all. What isn't family friendly is the amount of time it takes to get food - we've been there several times and it's always been well over 30 minutes to get food, and the past two times at least an hour. Our younger son is always losing his mind by the end of the experience, and the past couple times half of the family has left before we actually got our food. This new little gem in Great Bridge takes you to the sports bar you want. Laid back atmosphere to enjoy a game or time with family. The At the Wall Red Ale was a smooth drink I could sip for hours with just enough bite. The pizza was so tasty and flavorful and the pretzels, wow, couldn't get enough. A friendly staff there making sure you're alright and happy. Stand out is they have shuffleboard and other games for the adults and make it very family friendly with little play area for the kids to enjoy too. We've been there twice and both times were great! The pizza with honey drizzle was delicious and my husband and I both loved the beer we chose. He had an IPA and I had the stout first visit and the porter second time which I loved. They even did a special German technique to it which was very cool to watch and very tasty. The only drawback was on our second visit which was a Saturday at 5:00 PM and it was packed. Seating is first come first serve so we had to wait about 10 minutes before a table opened up.
