COMCAST XFINITY Scumpany is the worst cable/internet business in the world!
I recently transferred my cable services to a new place, and added internet to the bill at the new place. To make a long story short, I left the old place around mid-September and had a balance of $100, which was the final bill. Around early October, when I received a paycheck, I went to my Comcast account my balance was $0, without me ever making a payment.
Around mid-to-late October a Comcast technician came out to my new place to install the services. I was informed that my new bill at the new place would be approx. $150/ month. From September to November I had been checking my Comcast account online for a new bill, but it never came. The balance kept saying $0.
About the first day of December, I receive an email from Comcast saying that my bill is past due and will be disconnected. I clicked on the link provided by Comcast in my email, entered my password (because my username was already filled-in for me by Comcast), and then logged onto my Comcast account online. Again, the balance said $0. I had logged into my account numerous times that day and the balance said $0. I still had not seen a bill and did not know how much the bill was because Comcast never mailed me a bill.
A few days later, my cable/internet services were disconnected. Comcast began calling me for payment; the Comcast customer service representatives in the Phillipines threatened me to pay the bill, even after I requested numerous times to provide me with a bill first; Comcast center representatives have been calling my cell phone 3-5 times a day from various phone numbers, threatening me for payment and threatening to send a repo person to my house to pick-up the cable boxes; Comcast/ Broadband Wireless field representatives have also been calling my cell phone, ringing my door bell at home and at all hours of the day/evening, leaving big red notices on my door, threatening me for payment and to pick-up the cable box.
I finally learned that my bill had become $620!! I also learned that Comcast changed my account login username without ever notifying me of this, after I had been using the same login information for years.
A bill of $100 had become $620 from September-December. Not to mention, Comcast charged me for cable/internet services for the entire month of December, even though my services were disconnected around December 1. When asked to pro-rate or remove the December charges, Comcast refused!! The $620 bill included the obvious $100 previous balance, along with hidden charges like a $30 equipment rental charges for 3 devices, a $10.00 late fee, $5.00 broadcast tv fee, $3.00 regional sports fees (??), $17.00 taxes, $10.00 wireless gateway, $150 installation fee, plus $150/month bundle charges for cable/internet from September-December.
Comcast continued to call my cell phone to threaten me, and sent their repo agents to my house to demand payment and to pick-up the cable box. I've had Comcast service for years, paid all my bills, and never had any problems until now.
Besides from the outrageous charges and fees and changing my account username without informing me, I was highly surprised at their level of professionalism and strong lack of customer service with Comcast threats for payment and Comcast agents knocking on my door at all times of day/evening to repo the cable box (just like a auto repo man in a tow-truck).
This scumpany is the worst and I am urging everyone to STAY AWAY! read more
