Rude awakening for me a few weeks ago when I tried this at another Squirrel Hill establishment. But - when I called this salon, the super nice woman who answered told me to come right in. Turns out she is the owner with her husband - and they both really work their tails off! She did me and 2 other women inside of an hour, and my pedicure was quite good! She gives a mean massage, too, and really pays attention to detail when she's painting. The shop is below ground off Forbes - well marked - and very clean. I'll definitely be a regular. Hurrah!

Every single nail tech is so friendly, and drinks are available upon request. I have never had any trouble getting an appointment, and it is very easy to book appointments online. They are very reasonably priced for the quality of work they do. The nail techs are all so attentive to small detail. Lynn did the nails pictured, and the almond shape I asked for was perfect. We ended up switching things up a bit from my inspiration picture, and she made all the right calls. I love May and will continue to go back. They are truly phenomenal!

The nail tech showed us the color we chose and then suggested another similar option for comparison. This was kind and appreciated, I ended up choosing the light pink he suggested because it went better with my skin. Over all the shop is small and nice. Not too sure about the cleanliness of the manicure tools, they were reusable and I don't recall if they were soaked or cleaned very much when switching between the two of us. Might consider coming here again. I do a lot of work with my hands and the gel is holding up great. I would want to know more about how they clean their tools now that I reflect on my experience I'm not sure that it was done (but I could be wrong)

I was treated to a lovely pedicure and conversation. The salon was super clean and didn't smell like chemicals. It was also exceptionally quiet and relaxing. The salon is easy to miss from the road.
