As a stylist myself I know what to expect from customer service and throughout my hair appointment. My best friend had all of us bridesmaid get our updos done here. I had some woman who was older (50's) who's chair was in a back room. They had poor air circulation so the stylist had a fan blowing on the both of us. After an hr and half of sitting I was freezing and my up do was full of flyaways. The stylist had no personality. I tried talking with her and letting her know we had common ground. I had to tell her the bump was needing smoothing and needed to be asymmetrical. I showed her a picture of my updo I just got at my salon with messy easy curls. She gave me a grandma ball. I told her no. I don't want I giant teased ball. Just loose elegant curls. She seemed upset with me when I asked her to please use my picture for reference. She snapped at me and said 'you know it'll never look like this picture.' I had no expectation of my updo having every single curl the same- she freaking didn't curl it and just teased and put it in a bun!!! Big difference to what the picture was. She used so much Kevin Murphy teasing powder that it made me itch so badly the entire wedding day. I hear many good things about your salon from my clients and other Pittsburgh locals, but this stylist needs some updo classes and customer service help. read more

When I called, they sounded absolutely wonderful. They said they were going to schedule me with the woman who does the best layered stack. I was ecstatic. When I arrived, they kept praising her. Unfortunately, she SHAVED the back of my head in a spot. A full inch. If you know anything about a layered stack, this was completely noticeable and she didn't even tell me. It was dark in the building and hard to tell in the mirror. I didn't notice until I got to my car and went to touch my hair. The worst part is that they didn't care and she wouldn't even tell me. I understand accidents happen, but at least admit to it. I will never be returning and am taking my grandmother's business elsewhere as well. read more

Love this salon with the cutest name ever! Let's start with Zara for facials and massages. Simply amazing. I had a small mark that was above my eye brow for nearly two decades - two dermatologists said it would cause scarring to remove. During my first facial with Zara she said there were some calcium deposits on my forehead that she could remove. Turns out she removed that bump I had for years and years, and no scarring whatsoever! She has won my loyalty. And if you have any aches and pains be confident her massage will leave you feeling like a new person. She is simply the best! If you are looking for a great manicure and pedicure (particularly if you like the gel polishes) look no further than Nicole. She is a sweetheart too. I've come to like to salon so well I recently started getting my hair cut there too, and Kiley does a great job. And I can't forget to mention Jamie at the front desk you always adds a smile to your day. I've been to large salons that you feel more like a number than a person, and La Te Da leaves you with a feeling that you've made new friends who are awesome taking care of your needs! read more

I have been coming to this salon since early Spring. I received a gift certificate after I had back surgery for a massage, facial, manicure, etc. Unfortunately, I had complications from my surgery and was left with numbness in my left leg and foot. I was leery about having a massage done on my leg, but Zara promised she would be gentle. After the massage I left feeling better. So much better in fact that I now have a massage on my legs every week and have noticed much improvement. Zara works wonders--she actually has my left leg moving almost as good as my right leg. I look forward to my weekly sessions--Zara is a great masseuse and a wonderful person. She and I have lots of laughs during my sessions--particularly when I tell her something hurts and her response is always "that's OK". I recently had a one-hour hot stone massage--she nearly put me to sleep with that. I will schedule more of those in the future. Zara also does a great facial. I will continue to schedule those as well. Zara is a great addition to the staff at the Salon. I will truly miss her when she goes home to Bulgaria for the holidays!!! I recently starting having shellac manicures from Nicole. Nicole does a fabulous job, and the manicure lasts almost three weeks. Nicole has given me several pedicures as well, and she is always sensitive to the problem I have with no feeling in my left foot--which I truly appreciate. Nicole is a perfectionist and goes out of her way to meet your needs. Everyone at the Salon is quite friendly beginning and ending with Jamie. I look forward to spending my Tuesday nights at the Salon and feel assured that I will have a lot of laughs throughout the evening. I went to this salon for the first time after recently moving to the area. I was nervous to try a new place and a new stylist but I walked away with one of the best salon experiences I've ever had. Upon calling to make an appointment, I was able to get in that evening, which was a huge bonus since it had been too long since my last haircut. When I arrived, I was pleased to see that the salon was very busy. The setting is comfortable and attractive, while the people are friendly and courteous. My stylist, Kristy, did a fantastic job on my hair, doing exactly what I asked her to do and not cutting off more than I wanted. She was fun to talk to and made me feel very at ease. The prices are reasonable, too. I will definitely be going to this salon on a regular basis. Highly recommend it! read more

This is the worst manicure I've ever had. My nails were hacked at (my fingers hurt for over a day), the shape and polish are uneven, it took much longer than it should have and it wasn't worth the price. This did not feel like a "salon" experience. I've paid less for much more. I will not be going back. read more
