I have been coming to this salon for many years now and I still adore every aspect of it! From the caring employees to the laid back ambiance, this salon is just my speed. I have never left here with a hairstyle I did not love. My stylist, Sandy, is extremely knowledgeable and will answer any question you may have. There is a waiting room in the front of the salon as well as a wall full of products to purchase. This salon offers waxing, nail services, brow tints, lash tints and lifts, and makeup services in addition to many hair services for all hair types. Anything you want done, you can get it here for a reasonable price. I recommend giving them a call to set up your next appointment! read more

Dani's Hair Loft - Outside - Hair Salons Near Me - McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania

This past year I discovered that curly hair needs a completely different haircut than the basic straight haircut. I had been searching online and on Yelp for a salon that has stylists that are certified and/or specialize in curly hair. I read the reviews for Dani's Hair Loft and they were one of the top salons with the best reviews. I booked right away and chose to have a consultation and a curly cut, by the first available stylist. I was booked with Sandra Joseph...whom greeted me when I walked in. I told her I was nervous because this was my first curly cut and I was scared it would end up short She assured me that we would go over all of that in the consultation. During the consultation she went over my hair length, density, texture, porosity, curl pattern, damage/health, etc. I got the dry curly cut. The whole time Sandra was cutting my hair, she was telling me what she was doing and the purpose of it....during the wash, she was explaining different ingredients in products and what they do. I also added on to my services a deep conditioning treatment and a top coat gloss to tone down my blonde. Sandra also educated me on how wet my hair should be when I add leave-in conditioner and styling product. I am so very pleased of how my hair turned out!!! 10/10 Highly recommended.....Sandra Joseph is also highly recommended!!! Extremely knowledgeable, helpful and talented!! read more

Dani's Hair Loft - Before/After - Hair Salons Near Me - McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania

I have been going to this place for about 15 years now. First with Dani then now Angel. Everyone in this salon is highly skilled, they have been working there for years and know their business. Dani knows how to treat her peeps so they have stayed and everyone is happy there. Highly, highly recommend! read more

Mollie worked wonders on my curly hair with a Deva cut and specialized treatments. We spent time first Molliegoing over my hair habits & products and what we were going to change. She cut my hair dry, giving it layers and shape, then put my color on. After, she gave me a glossing treatment and a steam treatment. Then we went over product and why certain ones would do well on my hair. My hair was completely transformed! Also, everyone was so kind and sincere. I'll be a loyal client of Mollie's! read more

Great salon! We have gone here twice for a regular cut and a Deva Curl cut and had fantastic experiences both times. Products and services are reasonably priced and service was outstanding! Highly recommend! read more

Great ambiance, well trained & super friendly staff. Definitely worth trying out if you have never been!

Love this place! Dee was amazing! She sat with me and discussed the Deva cut process, what I liked and didn't like about my hair/color. It is beautiful! Loved my first experience there! All the staff were friendly and made you feel at home. I will definitely be back! Highly recommend! read more

If you can find this place, good for you! My gps and google maps got me soooooo lost! I had to call them and some angel drew me out of lostdom into hair heaven! This place has a fun atmosphere, fun employees, and my stylist did an awesome job on the color and cut. (Her name is Katrina Cahill.) I loved the interactions of everyone who worked there. I will return! read more

Worst haircut I have ever gotten. Katelyn Weber cannot cut short hair. She butchered it.

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. Not only did they get me in within hours of my frantic call, but Kaitlyn and Dani went above and beyond when it came to correcting the disaster my previous stylist left me with (think orange striped blonde hair with dark brown roots.... ouch). The atmosphere was positive and relaxed during the entire experience, and they did an amazing job at turning my awful mess into something gorgeous. One of the best experiences I've ever had, this place is amazing! read more

Decided on the spur of the moment to do something different with my hair and walkss in on my lunch break. I was greeted immediately by a super friendly stylist who was able to get me in at 4 that same day. Love the color and cut that I received and loves the atmosphere of the shop in general. I will defiantly be back!! read more

Katelyn Weber did a fabulous job on my hair! We have been slowly working my hair to pink, and she nailed it! I have gotten a ton of compliments about it. My hair is still super healthy which is really important to me. I was leaving on a trip the day after, so she recommended some travel size products for me to take (didn't want to ruin my hair with hotel shampoo). The salon itself has a welcoming atmosphere, and the stylists all stop to look at each other's work. read more

I was referred to Angel by a colleague after having some frustration finding a place for basic hair care. My hair does it's own thing, I work too much to fuss over it, and it's all I can do to keep the peace. My lack of interest in exotic beauty regimens makes me typically uninteresting to stylists. I get it, and I expect it, but I really loved that everyone in this shop was friendly, open, and never tried to talk me into more stuff. Angel even got me set up to donate to Locks of Love (which I did). I got a great cut, shared a few laughs, donated my hair, and found a new beauty shop. I will definitely go back. It was a little hard to find, but well worth the effort. read more

Angel is a gifted and experienced hair stylist. We were visiting the area and my wife went to Dani's. She was thrilled with her haircut, and I agreed that she looked gorgeous. After sleeping on it, she was able to just comb and go - a sure sign of a good cut. Highly recommend this salon, especially Angel. In addition, Linda was super friendly and courteous when scheduling the appointment and confirming it. She asked my wife about her hair and the type of cut, then scheduled her with the appropriate technician for her needs. read more

I needed someone to do my makeup last minute for an engagement shoot and Lisa came through with flying colors!!! I had so many complements on my makeup. During that experience, she even offered to set me up with one of the stylist to get my hair done if I wanted. Despite my procrastination, I came out of the salon looking and feeling like a princess. read more

Love going to Dani's loft to get my hair done always a warm welcome! Angel my hair stylist does an amazing job

I came a long way for a consultation on a specialized hair cut for kinky curly hair. I had heard thru the networks that this salon knew how to achieve the look i was going for. I get up there met with Molly who assured me she knew how to cut this way. I was shocked when she told me "I don't think YOU'RE A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR THIS CUT". I was a little taken aback by the comment. Even with that being said i still made an appointment because I was thrilled at her optimism and exuberance. i received a call from the salon, saying Molly had to leave early and that i should come 3hours earlier than the original schedule. I arrived for my appointment and to my very discredited surprise, another young lady brought me to her station. I was appalled. This girl was great! No problem with her styling or service, but I left WITHOUT A CUT! Wasn't that the original reason for going? read more

My experience is very similar to Chrissie R.'s. My hair also does its own thing and I don't have the time or desire to fight it. I first went to Dani's in 2011 and Angel gave me exactly the cut I wanted. She's the best! I also donated my ponytail to Locks of Love as I did in 2013 and will be doing again soon. My husband recently got his hair cut at Dani's and we both agree that it is the best cut he's ever had. Ina gave him his cut. Love this place! read more
