Stopped by on Sunday, 06/29/25. Located inside Universal Studios Hollywood, boyfriend and I ordered the following: - 2 ice cream cones ($8.29 each) = $16.58 I got the Tropical Sunset flavor (recommended by the cashier), and my boyfriend tried out the Neopolitan flavor. We really enjoyed our ice cream, a great dessert during a sunny day while waiting in line for rides. I would like to come back and try out the Orange Berry. The wait time was a bit long. I always love to get ice cream and when I saw the flavors here I had to try it and It was absolutely amazing . I ended up getting the Neapolitan which all looks the same but each level of ice cream tasted exactly like the flavors it is an absolute must if your an ice cream fan especially since it's in a waffle cone to make it so much better. One stop shop for dessert... today. During horror nights menu ( not sure regular days) we went for a Mini stay puft S'more. Omg it's do freaking cute. I didn't want to try. Looked too cute. Despite waiting in line for a good 40+ minutes underneath the blazing heat, it was super delicious if you're looking for a sweet treat. I'm not normally into super sweet ice cream or sweets in general but it might've been one of those days where I was craving it and it was satisfying due to the hot temperature. There is a single SUPER long line since it was partly barricaded off for whatever reason (probably to keep traffic away from the main walkway) but there are 4 open windows. Luckily someone walking by gave us a tip about the other windows once you get into the aisles. The first two, farthest windows had like no people in them because people tend to go to the first (last) line you get to. We hopped into the second lane since it wasn't so busy but that alone took a good 20 min. It takes time making these crazy concoctions and there's no shade whatsoever so waiting underneath the blazing sun was pretty awful. We ended up moving to the first and farthest line because it went by way faster. We ordered a Neopolitan in a cup and the banana split cone. His cone came out almost immediately but waited another 10 min for my cup which was odd since it was a basic flavor. Not sure why it took so long but it was good once I got it! Seems like they mix flavor syrups into just vanilla soft serve to get that flavor which was fine. Not complaining at all! Definitely tasted great once we finally got it. On a hot day at universal studios in August in California it's HOT. So went looking for ice cream for my kid and I while waiting for other family member to return from a ride. The selection is so cute and so creative. The ice cream was good. I took two stars off for the service. People are standing outside in the direct sun and it was like the sloths were working. They had all 3 lanes open and I counted 9 people total working. The cashiers only take the orders and stand around for the people do the jobs behind them. Then there was two guys just standing around talk and distracting the works from make the stuff. I would go back but only if there was NO line whatsoever. Better to just get the commercial one off of a cart next time. read more

Nice spot! Maybe a 5 min wait for us. Ice cream didn't seem super pricey and took a little while to finish! Very tasty and friendly staff too. The tropical one which is mine had watermelon, orange, and I think blueberry flavor and I'd have it again for sure. This spot is located on the lower lot between Transformers and the Mummy. They changed it up a little for Halloween - but outside of that I really love this place! They have really unique desserts (see pics!) and are soo worth the $10-12 price tag!! Show your annual pass and get a 10% discount too. They have one sundae that has chocolate ice cream, whoppers and caramel popcorn - BOMB. My favorite one is vanilla ice cream with strawberry sauce, whip cream, bobba, a donut, cotton candy and a lolly pop! OMG so bomb! I was really disappointed the last time I went because they said they didn't have any cotton candy or the donut since they changed things up for Halloween. I am hoping things get back to normal now! There can be a line sometimes but it moves quickly. If you're gonna treat yourself while at Universal, this is the spot! read more

Given the Yelping community, I'm surprised this spot hasn't been on Yelp! Unless there was a name change that I didn't notice or know about . . . but anyway. Studio Scoop is a Universal Studios branded ice cream and dessert spot located on the lower lot of Universal Studios. It is in between the Starbucks and Transformers Autobot/Decepticon encounter and across from Panda Express. (Essentially if you come down the escalators and head towards and on your right you pass the Revenge of the Mummy ride, pass Starbucks, and you hit Studio Scoop). Immediately I was greeted by one of the best set of staff members in the park! Both the cashier and "server" were super friendly and nice, and especially the cashier when I asked about the pass member specials and discount, she got so excited to share the treats! We wanted something simpler today so I went with a Neopolitan Cone and after the discount, it came to $6.50. (Apologies as I do not remember the normal price, but I'm assuming it's around $7.50) The ice cream is super creamy and soft, obviously given that it is "soft serve" ice cream. Each flavor is layered nicely in the cone, and even the cone was a surprise - it was rather fresh and had a nice crisp to it. They definitely do not cheap out on the ice cream as some places even skip the bottom of the cone and just try to fill the soft serve at the top. Not here, they fill it straight from the bottom of the cone! And give a nice height over the cone. The strawberry is the most flavor given as it's the bottom flavor throughout the cone and the top flavor, with Vanilla and Chocolate in between. That would be my only complaint, I wish the flavors were more balanced in a way. With such a hot day, this was a great treat to cool off. And for theme park food, it's a great option to have and I'll definitely stop by again. Sorry for not snapping photos of the menu, cone, etc! Omg the Neapolitan ice cream is delicious. We got the strawberry serendipity one for my kids and was ok, but the cones are definitely delicious. We did love how the sundaes come with donuts, lollipops and are pleasing to the eye. read more
