I have been going to this salon for years and the past two visits have made me rethink ever going here again. I had a pedicure and the lady who did it, did a great job. So they asked me if I wanted to get a manicure. I never get one because I do a better job at home but against my better judgment, I said ok. The man (manager/owner) took me over to his table and did the WORST job I have ever seen. Filed my nails down to almost nothing, rushed through the entire thing, no cuticle trimming, lotion or massage or anything that resembled a manicure. The polish job was abysmal. I get to the front to pay and he charged me $120 dollars. I was shocked considering the pedicure I picked was $45 dollars. I received nothing more than a polish and file, not a manicure. It was definitely not worth $75! I will never go back to this place. Unethical at its finest. read more

Its been about three times that I go, and every single time I get charged a different price for the same thing 1 small almond full set with no designs. I got charged $70 this time for a full and I asked if a full set costs that and she said if you pay with card its 20% more. It makes no sense they are super short, no second coat was done on french tip or put any cuticle oil, etc. My mom has also gone and she got charged $130 for a $45 pedicure and a full set with just clear acrylic and clear top coat. read more

This had been my go-to salon for years, but it's time to move on. A free mimosa only goes so far. Pedicures are great, but I do not recommend for manicures! The guy (manager, it seems) has done my dip the last couple times and it is often lumpy and uneven, he argues with me when I make a request, and teases me when I choose to go with clear rather than having color applied there. He does not trim my cuticles, just files or uses the dremel on them and is very rough. Overall the service has gone consistently downhill with the current ownership/management and I will not return. read more

I can see why this place has such low rating. The owner was extremely disrespectful and told me to not come back due to being "too picky". My nail tech Annie was amazing though. She did the best she could and I appreciate her for that. So if you do happen to try this place out, ask for Annie and beware of the angry mean owner. HOWEVER, I suggest you are careful about pricing. A delux pedi starts at 40.00. If you add gel the price goes up. Then if you add a specific type of gel the price goes up again. The man that did my pedicure today should find another profession. He was less than professional and it really ruined the experience for me. He was angry & acted like a jerk. He lost the nail polish I wanted, threw all the items from my pedicure into the water where my feet were, gave a very half assed massage & when I asked for orange scrub, he gave me the lavender. After he was done painting my nails, he ripped the plastic cover out of the water basin & ruined the polish on two of my toes. He just painted over it. Then he couldn't find his top coat polish. So, the nail tech should've prefaced the whole conversation when I asked 3 times for a pink and white rebase...they don't do them "when it's too late in the day." WHAT?! I would've been totally fine if they said what they were implying, but I went half way through the appointment with a shoddy rebase to begin with, and NO white to be found!!!! Wow. Sad and pathetic customer service, and a horrible job to boot. They left the rebase uneven and the clear shellac had PLENTY of imperfections to piss off the most stoic customer. I am not super picky with my nails, but I strongly care about the technician listening to my request for the length, the time it takes, if they honor the time for appointments, & how long my acrylics stay on. They were 10/10 on all fronts! This place is quick and reasonably priced. I certainly didn't have concerns about the cleanliness as others did. I went to the salon as a walk-in for a basic pedicure with shellac polish and a gel powder mani. My pedicure was good, although after a week, the polish started to wear off the nails of my big toes. I'm used to my shellac pedicures lasting much longer without any issue. I was satisfied with my manicure and will definitely get the dip powder again. Went into this place during a minor snowstorm. I was THE ONLY PERSON THERE. one technician was even sleeping in a pedicure chair. All I needed was a rebase and my set was so jacked up that it'll probably have to be soaked off and re done. My nails are lifting HALFWAY up the nail bed. The tech rushed like crazy and barely prepped my nails even after I said they still looked a little thick and maybe needed filed more before applying acrylic. First of all, my nail technician was great. This review is about the horribly rude owner and his business practices. A friend bought me a gift certificate. I saved it for a special occasion and a few months later, got engaged! I brought it in today to use for my wedding this weekend. Still hasn't reached its expiration date. I showed it to the technician and asked if I could use it and she said yes. So I went ahead and did a pre-wedding mani pedi. Was a great experience until I reached the counter. She rang me out and the owner happened to walk buy and saw the gift certificate. He literally yelled, "WHOSE IS THIS!?" I sort of awkwardly raised my hand, startled by his temper. He said "NO! DIFFERENT OWNER!" and stormed away. Ok, I get that it's a different owner. But first of all, I asked first. Secondly, when you buy a business, you buy their outstandings. So any outstanding gift certificates should have been factored into the purchase. Bass Pro Shops just bought Cabela's. Do you think the people who have Cabela's gift cards are out of luck? NO. The poor technician said she couldn't take it and I said, no. Have your owner talk to me because this is very poor business. He refused to come back up and just kept YELLING from back to the back "NO! NEW OWNER NOW!" I simply refused. I feel terrible. He probably made that poor girl lose her deserved money. What is a $40 gift card when it keeps customers coming back? Really poor way to treat customers, employees and run your business. My daughter and I came in for manicure and pedicure. Paid the deluxe price for both. My daughter got a dip manicure and within 1 week half the nails were already off or at least chipped. Paid $112 before tip. No discount for my 8 year old and thats ok but I do expect they last longer than a week. She didn't pick them off, they literally peeled off. I could go on about my nails being ground down so far (out of laziness for taking off shellac) it took them 6 months to grow back, but my biggest beef is that the owner, Leo, does not know how to run a schedule and he's rude when he makes a mistake. Not only did the color not look like the display color, It wasn't until after the polish was on that the tech told me he couldn't do the design I asked for. I just came here with a new friend! It's still called Main Street nails out front. But i couldn't review the "old" name even though it's still the same! We just walked in around 11ish on a Wednesday and were seen right away! They were so nice! They sat us near each other and we ended up both picking the same nail polish/technique called tiger eyes, also know as cat eyes. It's a gel nail polish that they put 2 coats( in my opinion it should have been 3 coats to match the display color we chose) but after the second coat they use a magnet and a glitter gold or silver line appears. I just feel we mentioned it was lighter than expected, but the formula is also color changing. So they insisted it would change darker in the cold. Which for the most part is true, only when i ran it under cold water. But she did a third coat on my ring finger because the cat eye wasn't appearing well with the magnet and that was the color we choose. So i wish i asked for another coat of polish. So it was $41 for this tiger eye technique for just a gel manicure. The extra $10 was for tiger eye. I still felt that was kinda expensive. But again I'm coming from NJ and FL where there are nails salons on every block with competitive pricing. Overall they were good, just felt a little stingy on the coats of paint to achieve the colored they have displayed. read more

Maria here is great! She does amazing gel nails that last! A lot of people say that gel will last for 2 weeks but then it chips. You can tell the quality by how it looks under the UV lamp. Are there blotchy spots when it's under the lamp? If so, they didn't cover it completely. Maria does it so there aren't any missing spots on your nails under the lamp, and her job does last at least 2 weeks. She did all over black nails for me and they first chip occurred 3 weeks and 2 days out! She's great! read more
