They recently had a gel, pedicure and manicure here. It was not a good experience. It took one hour to do both services. 30 minutes for each. It was rushed through. I paid for a pedicure with extra services and received nothing listed- no callus removal, no extra massage. My gel manicure is so thick it's wavy. I specifically asked for my prior gel to be removed without drilling. Gel on my toes was drilled off in seconds- no soaking whatsoever. Same with my manicure. The place is not clean and tools are taken out of a basket. Doesn't seem sterile. read more

I like this place. The vibe is pretty good. The customer service is not the greatest though. The pedicures stay on for a super long time, but he manicures, not so much. It's expensive though, and it takes a long time. You also have to pay a lot extra for even a callus removal, or something like that. But its alright. read more

Walked in and it wasn't what I expected. Very hectic, one lady was working on my feet and the other my nails so I'm sitting very uncomfortable as she was standing on my left side working on my right hand so the entire time I'm all twisted and turned. Got acetone ALL OVER MY HANDS, was dripping, got it on my shirt, my hands have been super dry since. The nails also came out very thick, have been lifting, some random mark in the nail, honestly I just wanted to get out of there. What a waste. read more

I decided to try out a new nail salon close to home. I'm so glad I came into Nails Crazy. The facility is very clean and nicely laid out. The seats were comfy and the people were very friendly. The prices are decent so all in all win win situation. If you live around Erie I highly recommend this place! Oh the best part is they have a frequent customer punch card! After 4 visits you get $5 off. I've been to many salons even in the California where there are nail spas up and down the street and they never gave a deal like that. You should check them out! Now that I got that out of the way, my wife has been begging me to get my nails cleaned up..I'm somewhat of a germaphobe so I wash my hands a lot and my hands & nails can be very dry. This place is just a few minute away and Ivy did a miraculous job on my hands & feet. The place was clean, the staff were genuinely friendly without a hint of pressure to get you to buy services you don't want. A big plus is that they have newer model massage chairs that will put you to sleep. The prices are reasonable. I had a great experience here and coming from California where there's a nail place on every street, Nail Crazy is a surprise. Want to support this local place really bad. Over the years my experience is hit and miss. Reason is the minimum of attention is done and had I not visited another competitor on Tuesday, their day off, I may not have seen what is lacking. A good cuticle cleanup. My nails were neat and so clean . I couldn't believe the transformation. Shocking! Its almost like a polish change only but paying for a regular mani. Also, I tip more when a decent massage is given. Both pedi and mani massages are minimum and disappointing. The deluxe pedi seems to be only a powder fragrance in the water that sometimes is missed. I only realize it when its too late. Why is mani soaking water bowl provided at the beginning and gets cold when its time. I like hotter water and always need to request for a better temperature. I understand price increases but services shouldn't be less. Overall I am looking for a better experience since prices are up every where. read more

My friend and I stopped in for pedicures. I had called in advance to get pricing on pedicures and they said they start at $27. The laminated menu they gave me in person did not have that option listed and pedicures started at $35. My friend and I decided to get gel nail polish because it's cold outside and we didn't want to smudge our new toes with winter boots. I happen to know at another salon it's only $5 extra for gel nails or toes. It was my fault for not asking exactly how much that was but a $35 pedicure turned into a $55 pedicure and then they gave us a loyalty card which made it $5 off, to total $50. When I called the next morning to ask about this, I asked if they accidentally charged us for a mani and pedi which was listed as $55 on their menu. She said that was not the case. Gels add $20! Again, another nearby salon only charges $5 extra for the add-on. The lady who did my pedicure was nice but a little rough on my toes but didn't scrub my calluses off as much as I expected. My friend requested no paraffin wax (and extra massage instead) but the man who did her pedicure used the paraffin wax anyways. So the communication was subpar, and we should've spoken up, so they are not 100% at fault. read more

The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because I came a long time ago and had a great pedi. But that was the only time it's been great. I've been 3 other times, and I just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. I just went there today to treat myself for Mother's Day (I knew the other one nearby would be booked solid...and I had to stay close to the rec center to pick up my daughter soon) Anyways, I had to leave after 5 minutes, because the chemical smell was so bad that I was getting a big headache. I also used their restroom. No toilet paper. No paper towels. No soap. I recognized that their was no T.P. beforehand...so I had to ask one of the girls if they had extra in the back. But I didn't realize there was no soap or paper towels until it was too late. This is a huge gross out factor for me, because it makes me question what else they are overlooking. Anyways, the workers don't seem to want to engage in any sort of conversation. Honestly, I'm not sure they even know basic English. Trust me, I've tried to ask simple questions...and they look perplexed. So it's kind of awkward when you are sitting there...and they look as if they don't enjoy their job. (Not many smiles happening). One time when I was getting mani, the guy kept looking at his phone, and kept looking at the door as if I wasn't important enough to pay attention to. And he tore my skin pretty bad on one of my fingers. I really wish this place was better...because it's so close to my house! Another issue is the ambiance. They have pop music playing, plus the t.v. going. So it's not relaxing at all. The other issue is the decor. I'm not an interior decorator...but if they would do something...ANYTHING...it would greatly improve the relaxation factor. So here are my suggestions for a business that I feel won't be lasting very long with the clientele in this area. 1. Hire an interior designer. Here are some suggestions... ~Replace your ceiling fans (because they are never on anyway) with some nice big crystal chandeliers. Brushed nickle or silver in color. ~Hang some really big mirrors on the walls. Like 5 or 6 giant mirrors on each wall. All in a row. Or some big relaxing artwork. ~Do something with your bathroom! Have a nice cabinet with extra toilet paper, soap, and paper towels in there. Get rid of that wobbly step stool that's in there right now! And put some hooks on the wall so the ladies can hang up their purse while using the restroom. ~Stop playing hip-hop music. Nobody wants to relax to that stuff. Put on Michael Buble or something similar. Even relaxing instrumental music is good. ~Hang up some nice curtains. ~Train your staff to smile and engage in conversation. Some people just want to read, or look at their cell phone. But most people will want to have a nice conversation...so you need to actually know how to talk to them! ~Update your polish selection. Seriously...it's kind of dated and old. ~Check your air circulation. The chemical smell was just too overwhelming. read more

I have found my new favorite nail salon! I went in for a deluxe shellac pedicure & a shellac manicure & I am highly impressed! The salon had wonderful safety measures in place & the establishment was very clean. Emily was the absolute best(talked to me, down to earth, kind & experienced)and made sure my visit was a fantastic one. For me to find someone that I'll go back to has made my day. It could've been amazing and it started off incredible but fell short. My friend and I decided to go get a Mani-Pedi to celebrate my birthday! The pedicure was AMAZING, in fact part of me what worried we were getting the deluxe treatment instead of the normal one because they did such an amazing job! But alas, they failed miserably on the mani. While they took their time with our pedis and did amazing, they rushed through our manicures and butchered them. We both got light shades as we work in jobs where we have to, they did one or two coats and called it good even though it wasn't covered completely. I didn't even think to check it, I assumed it was fine based on the reviews here and had plans afterwards too. But as I was driving away I noticed :( My friend's mani started chipping away the next morning and mine a few days later. Bottomline, If you want a pedicure then this place is fantastic! Went in for a gel nail full set for my brothers wedding. Uneven nails, the nail tech cut my finger more than once trying to shape my nails. Which he then charged me 5 extra dollars to do!! I wanted an almond shape and was not informed when I asked for this shape that it would be an additional charge. I won't be returning. read more
