Why do dental clinics claim to be good for nervous patients when they are not. Please be honest…read more It's impossible to get an honest review on anything anymore so here is one for you. Kingwest Dental does not care for nervous patients with care. They refuse to re-do my nightguard (one of the reasons I switch dentists was to get the 3D tech for the nightguard production) as it does not fit. They don't care, they already got their money. My teeth hurt. My coverage is only for one nightguard (obviously) and they wont help. The last cleaning I had the woman gouged me and also put the blood and plaque on my shirt and in my hair and was pretty mean and rude to me. I felt afraid halfway through and my neck was hurting so I asked for a rest. She typed on the computer with the same gloves she was using to go into my mouth. It made me feel sick. Finally, I'll say that I specifically noted that I need female clinicians (i'm a survivor of violence, which I shared in confidence) and they didn't respect that .I guess they found it amusing to see me panicked as the male dentist came to check in on me on my second visit. I gave them one more chance after that and that is when I got butchered and covered in gunk. Super nasty. Very disappointing.

Dr. Nisha and her team are...in one word - amazing! When you first enter the office, their reception area makes you feel like you're sitting in your very own living room - its exudes an air of warmth and comfort! While upstairs, their equipment is advanced, and overall facilities are safe and very clean. I also love the motivational quotes that Dr. Nisha has etched throughout the offices - these truly embody the type of dental care you can expect to receive when visiting Dr. Nisha and her team. Everyone on the team - from the receptionists, to the hygienists, and Dr. Nisha herself... each makes you feel special in how they take time to get to know you and understand your individual dental needs - including everyday dental care, billing requirements, as well as new & innovative ways to improve and enhance your dental health. I also love that appointments are on time - this shows that the team values my time. The office is also conveniently located right across from the Bloor/Jane subway station - making it easy to get to! There is also Green P Parking right across the street as well! I would highly recommend Bloor West Dental - both for adults and children!

There is NEVER a wait (I have been here three times in the past 2 months, both my friends have had appointments, and there have never been any waits for longer than 5 minutes) 2. They have ODA pricing which is what most dental plans will cover. Despite the fact that this office is in Toronto, there is no random other superficial up-charges for normal services. (This was the main reason I initially chose this dentist). 3. They do an excellent job! My teeth were cleaned really well, the hygienist (who's name escapes me, but she was fantastic) was so friendly. They also run specials and promos (I got my annual exam and teeth cleaning and they threw in a free whitening session). 4. Appointments are super easy and correspondence is super quick! Their secretary Stacey does a great job to help fit appointments in ASAP and at times that work for you. 5. They have after work and weekend hours! I have officially made the switch to this super convenient and awesome dental office!

However, it seemed odd that they said I had six cavities. They very patiently walked me through all the work that would need to be done, around $1,500 with my insurance. I'd never had a cavity before, it had only been a year since my last appointment, and nothing about my life had changed. I put off scheduling fillings and scheduled an appointment with a different dentist to get a second opinion. This was a year and a half ago and I've since seen two different dentists, neither of which said I had any cavities. When I mentioned this to one of them, she said that while there are two spots she's keeping an eye on, they don't need to be drilled. Because they haven't gone more than halfway through the enamel, they may resolve on their own. Dentistry is a subjective art. People have different thresholds for when they want to have fillings put in. I prefer to not drill holes in my teeth if it's not strictly necessary. You may feel differently. Just know that they set the threshold for drilling very high.

The one thing above all else that stands out here with Dr Haji is that he has immense dedication to his work. He is extremely detail oriented, takes his time and clearly explains everything he does. I'm a new client and this place was recommended to me. This place is conveniently located in dt…read morewhich is an added bonus (spadina and Richmond st). Here's a breakdown of why I love coming here: 1) Dr. Haji is an excellent dentist. He provides you a lot of information and explanation whenever he does anything. Some dentists just say "I'm going to do an initial exam now" & "your teeth look great" and that's the most explanation you'll get. Dr Haji will explain his actions & rationale as he goes along. After the initial exam and the numerous teeth X-rays he will show you on the monitor and explain any problem areas or how he assess your teeth. On top of that he addresses any further concerns you have that was not yet discussed. 2) All the staff here are knowledgable, friendly, professional yet personable. If you have any questions about insurance coverage or the best way to brush etc, you'll always get a satisfying answer. I did my cleaning and it went smoothly. Normally I dread the biannual cleaning! 3) The technology. Maybe my previous dentist's are more old school but there are equipment here that I haven't seen in previous dentist offices. I even asked my friends about their dentists. For example, if you tend to grind your teeth, Dr. Haji used ultrasound to assess my jaw. Another example is when Dr. Haji is assessing your teeth, he doesn't bend/hurt his neck & back by slouching over. He looks into this contraption that happens to also show a realtime video of what he's seeing. This projects onto a small screen on the side which the dental assistant views and is thus able to better anticipate and handover the right tools. Plus there's a tv screen to watch the news or whatever channel you want during cleaning. 4) The interior decor is also on point. Sleek design, exposed brick, and glass. It's visually appealing and bright. Little touches like strawberry water and oil scented diffuser are also present. It's a very spa-like atmosphere. 5) With everything being said, this place might be more expensive than other dental officers. So if you have insurance, I wouldn't go anywhere else but here. And if you can afford it, come here too. 6) Most people I've overheard can get appointments within 2 weeks. For me, my nursing schedule doesn't follow a normal work pattern so my options are more limited because they get almost fully booked two months ahead of time. That's how popular they are. TLDR: The amazing staff, service, location, and spa-like atmosphere make my dental visits highly enjoyable. But it might be more expensive.

It was the worst snow storm Toronto had experienced for some time and still my hygienist and a receptionist had made it to work! Yontela and Kenna, you rock! I was early for my 3.30pm appointment (~3pm because my trip to the post office was cut short, being that they were closed). I came in with two large boxes and Kenna was so kind and friendly, she told me I can keep the packages in the closet during my appointment and just made my awkwardness that more comfortable. During my appointment Yontela was so kind and patient--she answered all my questions and was very professional and gave me her input. She did not make me feel bad that I had difficulty flossing behind my back mollers and continued to encourage me to try and keep trying.
