I have been to some places were they really hurt you while doing cleaning and after that my mouth was full of blood - not here. The dental hygienist Rachel is really gentle and good. Definitely a good place to come for your dental check-ups and cleaning. Only recently I had couple of problems when scheduling appointments - one time there was no confirmation e-mail sent and I mixed up the times because I expected and e-mail with date and time (as usually) and then another time I scheduled an appointment for my husband, he took his day off to go for an appointment, but when he got there, he found out that the receptionist forgot to schedule his appointment in the system. When I called for explanation, I was told that they are unable to check what happened. Can we come back another time? Like it's so easy to take time off once again. If I would miss my appointment, I would be charged a fee for dental hygienists time; however, if they "miss" my appointment, "It's okay, can you can tomorrow again?" It disappointing but I still recommend this place for dental cleaning, etc.

This time, I am very disappointed with their service and I find it to be a problem, that a dentist comes in for a consultation without any reasonable cause. My son is just a student and he had to pay from his own pocket that insurance didn't cover. I decided to change my clinic.

However, it seemed odd that they said I had six cavities. They very patiently walked me through all the work that would need to be done, around $1,500 with my insurance. I'd never had a cavity before, it had only been a year since my last appointment, and nothing about my life had changed. I put off scheduling fillings and scheduled an appointment with a different dentist to get a second opinion. This was a year and a half ago and I've since seen two different dentists, neither of which said I had any cavities. When I mentioned this to one of them, she said that while there are two spots she's keeping an eye on, they don't need to be drilled. Because they haven't gone more than halfway through the enamel, they may resolve on their own. Dentistry is a subjective art. People have different thresholds for when they want to have fillings put in. I prefer to not drill holes in my teeth if it's not strictly necessary. You may feel differently. Just know that they set the threshold for drilling very high.

Unfortunately, I also feel pushed to get certain procedures done. I had 6 cavities done over 5 years at Bite, but last year they told me that the cavities had to be refilled. I went to another dentist and those cavities were not an issue. The last straw for me was when they mixed up my dental appointments twice and I had to call to confirm my appointment date. I appreciate reminders, but getting dates mixed up seem to be a subtle way to recall me more frequently. I feel bad for Bite because it used to be an amazing clinic with dentists and hygienists, but the high turnover and business operations pushed me to go with another dentistry.

They wanted to make money out of my insurance I guess, so their hygienist spent 1 hour on half side of my teeth. Basically, to waste time, she drilled so much that it damaged a nerve and I started bleeding. I called them to tell them I have blood oozing out and was told to take salt water gargle. Finally, at 1 am I had to go in an ER because the blood wouldn't stop. I had to spit blood every 45 sec, because my mouth would be full. ER couldn't stop the blood, because it was a dental issue I guess. Next morning, I went to them and they (with a straight face) heard everything and asked me to go to a specialist. They booked an appointment for me for that afternoon. It's was already 24 hours of no sleep, or food, or sleep. After 24 hours and blood all over and around me, I was finally fixed with stitches. The one thing above all else that stands out here with Dr Haji is that he has immense dedication to his work. He is extremely detail oriented, takes his time and clearly explains everything he does. Here's a breakdown of why I love coming here: 1) Dr. Haji is an excellent dentist. He provides you a lot of information and explanation whenever he does anything. Some dentists just say "I'm going to do an initial exam now" & "your teeth look great" and that's the most explanation you'll get. Dr Haji will explain his actions & rationale as he goes along. After the initial exam and the numerous teeth X-rays he will show you on the monitor and explain any problem areas or how he assess your teeth. On top of that he addresses any further concerns you have that was not yet discussed. 2) All the staff here are knowledgable, friendly, professional yet personable. If you have any questions about insurance coverage or the best way to brush etc, you'll always get a satisfying answer. I did my cleaning and it went smoothly. Normally I dread the biannual cleaning! 3) The technology. Maybe my previous dentist's are more old school but there are equipment here that I haven't seen in previous dentist offices. I even asked my friends about their dentists. For example, if you tend to grind your teeth, Dr. Haji used ultrasound to assess my jaw. Another example is when Dr. Haji is assessing your teeth, he doesn't bend/hurt his neck & back by slouching over. He looks into this contraption that happens to also show a realtime video of what he's seeing. This projects onto a small screen on the side which the dental assistant views and is thus able to better anticipate and handover the right tools. Plus there's a tv screen to watch the news or whatever channel you want during cleaning. 4) The interior decor is also on point. Sleek design, exposed brick, and glass. It's visually appealing and bright. Little touches like strawberry water and oil scented diffuser are also present. It's a very spa-like atmosphere. 5) With everything being said, this place might be more expensive than other dental officers. So if you have insurance, I wouldn't go anywhere else but here. And if you can afford it, come here too. 6) Most people I've overheard can get appointments within 2 weeks. For me, my nursing schedule doesn't follow a normal work pattern so my options are more limited because they get almost fully booked two months ahead of time. That's how popular they are. TLDR: The amazing staff, service, location, and spa-like atmosphere make my dental visits highly enjoyable. But it might be more expensive.

I've been going here for a few years and got my husband to start going a couple of years ago. I don't require anything more than a general cleaning, and the hygienists do a great job without scraping the living crap out of my gums. I have sensitive gums. My last dentists would leave me almost in tears during every visit. Nathan has had to have a few things done, like crowns, cavities, etc. and told me that Dr. Seagal always does a great job. On top of that, he no longer has such a hatred of going to the dentist. Bonus points for this office because they have TVs on the ceiling and a treasure chest that has prizes (for kids, I imagine).
