I spent thousands of dollars over the years trying to keep them. I finally got all top implants about five or six years ago, and I just had the bottoms done recently. I wish I'd done it all years ago! The implants were costly, but I would have saved thousands of previous and wasted dollars. More than that, I would have enjoyed these teeth over all the years I waited. My mouth went from embarassing to looking like a movie star! (Danny De Vito in my case.) I can chew anything! I take pleasure in my teeth every time I eat or look in the mirror. My wife loves it when I smile, mostly because of how happy this has made me. I feel like a new person. Not only that, but every one of their staff is a delight to deal with. Appointments are always on time. Most of all, I want to thank Dr. Gelfand. He's brilliant, a real artist, and a great guy with compassion and sense of humour. Dawson Dental has been the best investment I ever made!!! Thank you all!!!!

They seem really untrustworthy. - Wanted me to remove my wisdom teeth (already removed) before looking into my mouth or my records. - Wanted me to get a X-ray before looking into my mouth. - Told me I had a lot of severe cavities, but did not give me an exact number when I asked. - A dentist came into the room to confirm I had all these cavities by glancing for 5 seconds from 3 meters away. - Tried to schedule a filling within the same week, before I can get a second opinion. The dentists at Leaside are 100% skilled at the jobs and great dentists from a health standpoint…read more They lack any form of bedside manner or interpersonal capabilities to make adequate suggestions or support their patients. They are brief in their summaries and tell you everything you could do rather than help guide you towards what you should do. They are particularly bad at pediatric dentistry. When my son was getting one of his first check-ups, it became evident he was missing two front teeth. The dentist proceeded to use the term "recessive gene" three times and claimed my family must have the same "recessive gene" problem -- we don't, neither do members of my wife's family -- and then made me feel stupid for not noticing this issue. New parents need to feel supported with their children's health. These dentists made me feel ashamed and confused. When my son was about to get his first cavity filled at 4 years old, the dentist first claimed it would be very challenging cause it was late in the day, then had us come back later in the week first thing in the morning, then gave up and referred us to pediatric dentistry, which we should have done in the first place. It was a tremendous waste our time and frankly I'm appalled by their righteous attitude. Also, they don't do direct billing, so be prepared to pay up front fully even if you have coverage. Don't get me wrong. These dentists are skilled and trained. They know dentistry. Their attitude sucks. I have seen medical specialists my entire life and I'm very attuned to who demonstrates care and who just treats appointments as work. Leaside made us feel like a job and not people. Severely disappointed in Leaside Dentistry.

He does unauthorized work and she is quite afraid of him after her experience. She when in for one problem and after her mouth was frozen he did lots of other things without even asking. When she asked what he did he just said it was necessary with no explanation. When she asked how much it cost it was well over $1000. When she said she didn't have that he tried to sign her up for "financing" for this and to get her signature she asked what the interest rate was at which time he said he could wreck her credit rating and she would never get any loans or a mortgage again. I transferred over the money to her and took her to my dentist who said only what she came in for was needed and that it should have only cost about $250 to $300 and not many times that.

I know dentistry not just from my education but from the dentists who treat me. I wasn't born with strong teeth and my mouth is full of bridges, root canals and fillings but it's because of their skills that I have a perfect bite with heathy teeth and gums. I have always been provided with the information needed to choose a treatment unless I am told that there was one choice for my best health. I like dentists who communicate their medical knowledge well and that's why I would refer others to Wedental centre.

DO NOT GO HERE. I went to this dentist after reading a few reviews online and reviewing their site…read more I had an emergency and initially their service was great, until they had to do the root canal on my teeth and my husband's teeth. They've botched both our mouths to the point we have been almost 3000 out of pocket and are still dealing with the ramifications of their treatment. They did not offer to do anything to fix the issues they caused my husband adding a 2000 dollar bill due to their error. Now he still has to get a crown which they should have covered due to NEGLIGENCE. I now have to do further work on my mouth that would have been unnecessary had the work been done properly. It's been approximately 8 months of hell. Who knows how much more money I'm going to have to spend to fix it all. DO NOT GO!!! SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE! **UPDATE June 2014** I can't say enough how people need to stay away from this dentist. I have now had to have all the work removed they have done and will have to get it all redone. All out of pocket. Things that should have been done were not and cheaper materials were used, I am convinced this is to ensure a steady income coming in. Temporary filling material used in a root canal and they did not advise that a crown was needed. She left my teeth like that! Food had been getting under the filling and back into the root canal. I ended up doing an x-ray, examination, scale and clean, fluoride rinse ($30 for basically a mouthwash!), a filling (which I didn't need freezing so it makes me wonder if it was even necessary as the dentist said it was a 'small' cavity). The appointment itself was okay, apart from the above nothing really to complain about. The dentist did a quick and relatively pain-free examination. The dentist said I needed to take out my 2 bottom wisdom teeth, one needing surgery as it hadn't erupted yet. This is where things become extremely annoying...the administration staff is UNKNOWLEDGEABLE, UNHELPFUL, and extremely UNORGANIZED. As I was blindsided as to how much I paid for on my first appointment, I wanted to get a quote on how much I would be paying as to avoid additional surprise fees. I asked the receptionist if she could get me a quote and email it to me when I made another appointment to take out my wisdom teeth before I left. A week went by, and no response so I email and called a few more times, playing email and phone tag. The admin staff could only give me an estimate of $300-500 to take out 2 wisdom teeth. I asked several times if there were any other fees, they said no and kept quoting this fee. I had to ask myself about nitrate and other forms or pain treatment for surgery. IT TURNS OUT...that they had notes to remove my TOP two wisdom teeth. NOT my bottom two like the dentist told me and showed me in my XRAY. The admin staff simply said the dentist has his own notes that's why there was a confusion. seriously!? They probably would've made me pay for it after they removed the wrong teeth too... I don't trust them and I think you should trust a place where you are putting your health in their hands.

Dr. Aurora is so greedy, that he was adamant that was I needed were not porcelain veneers, but 12 crowns (which cost twice as much BTW), seeing as his contention was that veneers can accumulate bacteria at the seems leading to tooth decay, something that is actually very rare, especially with all the new technology and cosmetic dentistry techniques made available today..
