They would frequently submit the claims incorrectly to the insurance company and then hassle me about it. (Insurance would mail me the forms when they weren't filled out correctly and then I would have to fax them to the dentist for them to fix.) Other times they would say it didn't go through electronically so they would tell me what I owed later, only to hear nothing from them for months and then get a nasty letter in the mail saying I owed them $$S immediately. Payment just always seemed like a big back and forth process. (so much simpler with my new dentist!) Last straw for me was, after being a patient for almost 5 years, I show up 10min late once and was treated extremely rudely and told I would only get half a cleaning. They made no offer to reschedule the rest of the cleaning and I never went back.

She did not check my teeth prior to doing x-rays or alert the dentist to determine whether the x-rays were needed which was not cost effective. There was no review of the x-rays or further feedback about my complaints. I also paid an extra $70 for a comprehensive exam. Again, there was no review. I complained and was reimbursed. I expected feedback. No news is good news is inappropriate. I asked whether I needed a crown. Dr Kostirko barely examined the tooth and immediately said he could replace it with a filling. Pros and cons were not discussed. Only comment is a filling was cheaper than a crown. I did not feel confident with his quick assessment to proceed. My hygienist's assistant was not available to write down the readings for my comprehensive exam. I observed her stress. It was time consuming which likely contributed to oversights in my treatment. I asked the hygienist how many years the filling would last over doing a crown expecting her to ask Dr. Kostirko instead she said it would last a long time. She offered a vague answer over enquiring with the dentist was unprofessional. The five star Google reviews for this clinic led me to believe I would have an outstanding experience. Trust and confidence was not established. I would not recommend the clinic based on my experience. The five star aspect of the clinic was Luisa, the office manager. She is both a skilled listener and communicator. She appreciated the feedback and her interest to resolve complaints were sincere.
