My usual dental practice is out of the way and I needed a routine cleaning. I chose this practice because I attended elementary school with Ross McMartin back when he was a flamboyant racist. Twice fooled and shame on me! The service was amateur and I was overcharged at the end for additional scaling units. I certainly wouldn't recommend the dentistry of Riverside. read more

Had an amazing experience Dr.Mcmartin was amazing at explaining everything, very kind and thorough!

In all my years of having gotten my teeth cleaned by a dental hygienist, I've never had someone so thorough, so gentle and yet so firm to achieve such a great cleaning especially since it's been close to a year since having had my last cleaning due to COVID. If you have the opportunity of getting booked with her, dental hygienist Janine is the best I've ever had. read more

Dr. McMartin and staff are the best! Super friendly and most importantly, extremely competent!!

I moved to Toronto about a year and a half ago and finding a new dentist was not high on my priority list. This didn't seem like a bad idea until I had a bit of a fall and ended up knocking out a tooth near the front of my mouth. Thankfully, a friend recommended Riverside Dental. I was able to get an appointment right away and was seen by Dr. McMartin. He is excellent! He is very approachable, calming, kind and professional. He immediately made sure to address the discomfort I was experiencing, clearly explained my treatment options, referred me to the appropriate implant specialist with a timely appointment, and also made sure that aesthetically things were good. In fact, when he learned that I had a wedding to attend the coming weekend, he went above and beyond to give me a temporary solution to my gap tooth problem so I wouldn't feel embarrassed to smile in photos. The entire team at Riverside have been wonderful to work with through what otherwise has been a bit of a nightmare. Huge shout-out to Ryan at the front desk for being an absolute lifesaver when it came to navigating my insurance coverage. I cannot say thank you enough! Absolutely will recommend Dr. McMartin and team to everyone I know and am almost actually eager to go back in for my regular cleaning. read more

Shopped around the entire GTA in search of a great dentist. Took me 7 years and 4 moves to find the right fit. I am not suggesting they don't exist, but where the dentists proved good, service/availability/rates usually proved equally disastrous. Riverside Dental is the exception. I adore Dr. Arin, one of a kind, best-kept-secret dentist; Really appreciate the email reminders; Repeatedly amazed by price and payment flexibility; No sale gimmicks, just good ol'... quality oral... health. Duh. I RECOMMEND: asking lots of questions about the free whitening for first time customers. It's a personalized take-home kit so a bit tricky. EXTRA TIP: If you are uninsured, you get a discount- ask about it! And ask for your receipts for tax filing :) read more

A brand new modern dental office that stays on top of technological advances in both the dental equipment used and appointment reminder tools. I've been with Riverside Dental since they first opened and have felt that they were genuine dentists with high integrity. They do not try to up sell you on services that you don't need. The staff are always professional and thorough. Did I mention that they offer a free teeth whitening kit for all new patients? And if you refer enough friends and family (think the magic number is 10) you can earn yourself a free electric toothbrush. My previous dentist suggested having all of my old fillings removed to be replaced with new ones, and I was a little skeptical of whether it was needed. Riverside Dental is keeping a close eye on my filling through regular x-rays and suggested that it is okay for me to keep my old fillings as long as they are monitored. When I go in for my regular teeth cleanings, they make sure that the dentist comes to check my teeth at least once a year to make sure everything is in order. I love that they take a digital photo of my teeth before cleaning and after cleaning; it is such a great reminder of why teeth cleaning is important. Their admin staff is actually one of the key reasons why they get 5 stars. I can tell that the dentist and owner really appreciates his admin staff, and rightfully so because they are amazing. They smoothly process all of my insurance claims electronically and was nice enough to read through my insurance plan to make sure that I make the most of it. I realized that I can be covered for more than just 2 teeth cleanings per year. Their e-mail reminders are way more friendly than your typical voicemail, or a little card with a date on it. Tip: There is free parking on the smaller side streets behind the dental office. You can come in early and enjoy their beautiful waiting room with free beverages. read more

I have been a patient of Riverside Dental for more than six years now. The clinic proved to be consistent with the following: * They keep detailed track of my past dental treatments, including history of high resolution photos, which they use to make decisions. * Dr. Arin and Dr. McMartin take great care to explain in details what the current situation is, and to present clear options how to resolve it. * During the treatments, they put in all the effort to make the procedures as painless as possible and perform the procedures professionally with great attention to details. * The clinic keeps its equipment up to date. * The dentists, hygienists and supporting staff are always friendly and welcoming. * During my interactions, I always got the impression the clinic put the best interest of the patient before other considerations. Riverside Dental clearly strives to and achieves excellence. During the last six years, my teeth are healthy and look great and I cannot think of a better place for dental care. read more

I was a client at their Queen West location and when I moved to Leslieville, I moved to this office. I'd highly recommend--modern and friendly offices and very thorough in their work. read more

The best dentist in the Riverdale / Leslieville area. I had such great care since coming here (from a different local practice) my whole family are now patients. The kids now even enjoy going to the dentist and my pocketbook loves a doctor who takes a "wait and see" approach instead of recommending an intervention. read more

The staff are very Professional and friendly. They walk you through every step to easy your anxiety. Recently my hygienist " Laura " noticed a unusual spot on my tongue, Doctor Arin and Laura monitored it between cleaning visits and recommended to go to Sunnybrook Hospital to get it tested for cancer. IT WAS, pre-cancer that would have turned to cancer in time. I had it taken care of at the hospital. THANKS TO ALL STAFF AT RIVERSIDE DENTAL, THANK YOU ALL! JAMES JOHNSON read more

I recently had another wonderful experience at Riverside Dental. I felt extremely safe and well looked after by Janine. She did a perfect job cleaning my teeth. Her work is very gentle and thorough. Janine always provides great tips to maintain the health of my gums and teeth between appointments. Despite the significant obstacles Covid-19 has created for hygienists, I left Riverside Dental with my teeth looking and feeling super clean. Looking forward to my next visit! read more

Dr Arin is awesome. He's young, informative and devoted to your teeth. I've had a few fillings, a couple of root canals and repair work from past visits to other dentists done. His practice is very modern and you can tell that the technology and his practice is to date. The bonus was that he also helped me quit smoking. My teeth are happy that Dr Arin is their caregiver. read more

Dr. McMartin is AMAZING! I had to get a tooth pulled because I was getting braces and he was a pro. I was extremely nervous going into it and he completely put me at ease. Emma and Alannah are great and so welcoming. Would definitely recommend! read more

This place had a very clean office, and i feel like my routine cleaning and polishing were as smooth as it could be. They also offer a free take home whitening kit to new patients, with a custom mould for your teeth. read more

Riverside dental is really really great. I HATE going to the dentist. I hate it so much, I havent's been for 10 years. But one of my friends recently decided to get braces and we started talking about teeth so much that I started feeling bad about mine and decided to go and check things out to make sure everything was ok. Plus a whitening was definitely becoming a must. I checked another place in Leslieville but I didn't love the service at the front. The girl barely new the prices, she seemed like she knew nothing about dentistry and I left not convinced and without an appointment. Then I entered Riverside Dental. I loved the atmosphere right away. Two thumbs up for the girl at the front (she was training another really nice girl), she was so knowledgeable and nice, and knew exactly what i needed to hear to make me feel confortable. I came back a week later for an appointment. What really sold me was that for the first exam you have there, they do Xrays, photos, full consult and they give you a free teeth whitening kit for half the price of most other dental clinics. So yeah their first timer package is really enticing. Dr Arin owns the clinic and for now he's alone there with a couple hygienists. I have no doubt they will grow soon. He's a great caring professional and really put me at ease. The Hygienist I saw for my cleanings is the sweetest, greatest person. The service being as uncomfortable as it is, I almost enjoyed it because she was so nice. So for me there is no question. If you need a new dentist, now you know where to go. read more

5* Service all the time - everyone is always so friendly and accommodating especially Alicia with me constantly changing my appointment times. Thanks everyone! read more

This is the best dentist and dental office that I've experienced in Toronto. The office is modern and inviting. You never have to wait for your appointment, they're always ready for you upon arrival. They have state of the art equipment which includes a computer monitor in the room which shows you your entire dental chart and they take before and after photos and show you the work they've done, it's very impressive. The receptionist is very professional, friendly, sincere and welcoming and always works with your schedule. The hygienists are top of the line, I've never experienced discomfort or pain of any sort and they're great at keeping you informed of the procedure. Dr. Ratavosi is completely devoted to the health of my teeth. He's informative, friendly and extremely attentive. His work is superb and he always consults with you before and after the appointment. I feel completely at ease and would highly recommend them to everyone. I rate this office a 5 plus. read more

Took half a day off work to discover that my appointment has been "double-booked" (a.k.a. canceled) because they were calling the wrong number for confirmation. I don't have speech disorders, before you ask. The receptionist did not give a tinker's damn, not to mention apologizing. read more

Dr. Arin and his team are by far the best dental clinic I've ever been to. So much so, I've recommended him to as many people as I can! From their professionalism to knowledge, to making me feel comfortable, I always know I am in good hands and trust him and the team completely. Thanks to the entire team for always making my smile look and feel its best! read more

Some years ago I fell and broke my front teeth. I had them repaired immediately but quite honestly the dentist did not do a very good job, leaving my two front teeth rather shorter than the original smile. Quite honestly, I had a fear of dentists, like many of us do, so I let it go for several years. After years of not being happy with my smile (which my parents spent thousands of dollars in orthodontic bills to get that perfect smile) I decided to man-up and do something about it. I went to Riverside Dental, initially to have a teeth cleaning which I was very happy with but also asked about my two front teeth and what could be done about them. Dr. Arin, who gave me a thorough check-up, explained to me that they could fix the problem so I set an appointment to have the work done. When making the appointment the receptionist booked me with Dr. Ross (they always go by their first name) so I was a bit sceptical. Meeting Dr. Ross, with his ebullient personality, put me at immediate ease and after getting in "the chair" he reviewed the "before accident" photo I brought along and expressed that he new he could repair my teeth to the original great smile that I had. Because of his confidence in his own capabilities and his great knowledge of dentistry I was put at full ease. Dr. Ross, with his expertise, wonderful personality and his knowledge of the most modern technology returned my exact smile within 30 minutes - NO PAIN!. Within 24 hours I made another appointment to see Dr. Ross again to fill in a gap between two other teeth and again he worked wonders and now I have even a greater smile. Truly this young man must have been at the top of his class. He is wonderful and very devoted to his "artistry". I highly recommend him along with the other staff at RIVERSIDE DENTAL that I have had the pleasure to meet. Wonderful - amazingly wonderful! Truly, Glen Baker read more
