This changed abruptly when new ownership and new dentists came into the picture. I usually get x rays done about every 3 years. This was not an issue with the two dentists who i was dealing with. I decided to give a younger person, who is also a female a chance. I was there to get a simple gap in my front tooth filled in. It comes out every so often, over the years. I told the dentists that i had business appointment in a couple of hours and theres no need for an xray. Time was of the essence. She through a temper tantrum, like a spoiled child and told me that since i wont get the x-rays,she refuses to work on me. I had to make an appointment for 3 hours later, with the regular dentist. I had to cancel my business appointment and wait in my car for 3 hours. This childish behaviour, which i explained to the dentist was not punished,i was forced to pay full price, wasnt compensated and came away, realizing that i would be foolish to return. Ive never had such a poor experience with a doctor, dentist or any other type of business in my life.

I ended up doing an x-ray, examination, scale and clean, fluoride rinse ($30 for basically a mouthwash!), a filling (which I didn't need freezing so it makes me wonder if it was even necessary as the dentist said it was a 'small' cavity). The appointment itself was okay, apart from the above nothing really to complain about. The dentist did a quick and relatively pain-free examination. The dentist said I needed to take out my 2 bottom wisdom teeth, one needing surgery as it hadn't erupted yet. This is where things become extremely annoying...the administration staff is UNKNOWLEDGEABLE, UNHELPFUL, and extremely UNORGANIZED. As I was blindsided as to how much I paid for on my first appointment, I wanted to get a quote on how much I would be paying as to avoid additional surprise fees. I asked the receptionist if she could get me a quote and email it to me when I made another appointment to take out my wisdom teeth before I left. A week went by, and no response so I email and called a few more times, playing email and phone tag. The admin staff could only give me an estimate of $300-500 to take out 2 wisdom teeth. I asked several times if there were any other fees, they said no and kept quoting this fee. I had to ask myself about nitrate and other forms or pain treatment for surgery. IT TURNS OUT...that they had notes to remove my TOP two wisdom teeth. NOT my bottom two like the dentist told me and showed me in my XRAY. The admin staff simply said the dentist has his own notes that's why there was a confusion. seriously!? They probably would've made me pay for it after they removed the wrong teeth too... I don't trust them and I think you should trust a place where you are putting your health in their hands.

When she said she didn't have that he tried to sign her up for "financing" for this and to get her signature she asked what the interest rate was at which time he said he could wreck her credit rating and she would never get any loans or a mortgage again. I transferred over the money to her and took her to my dentist who said only what she came in for was needed and that it should have only cost about $250 to $300 and not many times that.

Nevermind the issues I had with this office rescheduling my appointments last minute (even trying…read moreto shift my cleaning / Invisalign caps removal the day before my wedding) I had an awful experience with Dr. Patel with a procedure and am now stuck with two front teeth that are yellow, and the constant fear I will crack my tooth every time I eat. I had a composite on one of my front teeth (which lasted 15 years, no issues) and wanted to get another composite on the other front tooth so they matched. I was assured that the better and option was bioclear and that it would last "about ten years". I had the procedure done ($1000 before taxes) and most of one of the teeth snapped off in under three weeks while eating dinner. I was luckily scheduled to go in the next day for a follow up. When I called them, all they could say is they would "consult the issue", not that they would fix it. No assurance they will help me. I spent the night worrying if I would be charged more or go weeks without a tooth. The next day I get a call saying they will fix it, but can I come in 30 minutes later as they are delayed. I get there at my new time and had to wait another 45 minutes, and after sitting quietly for the entire time Dr. Patel runs in with an extremely flippant attitude, sighing at me saying "well, sometimes even cars have a warranty of 10 years and things happen!" At one point I had to ask her to please stop being so aggressive. I asked her to please continue with the procedure, and then had to allow this person that just basically yelled at me to do this procedure on my teeth which made my hands shake with nerves. At the end of the procedure, she said she decided to change the colour to be more yellow to "match my teeth" (spoiler: it doesn't match). She did this without consulting me. In the light of the office (and being extremely shooken up and tbh scared by her extremely rude approach) I assumed it looked fine. I now see in natural light that my two front teeth are yellow. See picture attached. The first time she did the procedure it was white, and she decided to make it more yellow without consulting me. The original procedure had a follow up appointment, this one had nothing. In this process she also ruined one of my Invisalign retainers (using it to see the shape of my teeth) - which are very expensive to replace (and are supposed to last forever). I have spoken to the office manager. She said Dr. Patel will re-do this, but at a cost. Why would I pay for something that was changed without my consent? Why am I stuck with a damaged retainer, which I did not ruin, if was the doctor that ruined it? And when I asked why I am being told I need to pay again, and can I speak to a higher manager, I am told Dr. Patel has partial ownership of the organization, therefore if doesn't matter who else I speak to, she will have final say. Makes sense why she was so comfortable being so rude to me, and now I have two yellow front teeth which I apparently have to pay to replace, because one of the owners operated on me and therefore she doesn't have to admit that her original procedure was done incorrectly (for a tooth to fall off while biting into a sandwich) and now that she took it upon herself to decide to change my tooth colour, without my consent, which is just so wrong to do to someone. All of this is to say, steer clear of this place. If something is done wrong? Too bad! It's the owner that did the procedure and she will just tell you to pay for it to be done again. Unbelievable. I wanted to keep fighting to have this replaced so I can actually smile with confidence but would much rather save myself the stress and go somewhere else in a few months. I'm baffled they're still in business with this kind of treatment - you have ruined my teeth and my confidence in my smile. Highly do not recommend and even giving one star feels wrong. I urge you to go literally anywhere else.

However, it seemed odd that they said I had six cavities. They very patiently walked me through all the work that would need to be done, around $1,500 with my insurance. I'd never had a cavity before, it had only been a year since my last appointment, and nothing about my life had changed. I put off scheduling fillings and scheduled an appointment with a different dentist to get a second opinion. This was a year and a half ago and I've since seen two different dentists, neither of which said I had any cavities. When I mentioned this to one of them, she said that while there are two spots she's keeping an eye on, they don't need to be drilled. Because they haven't gone more than halfway through the enamel, they may resolve on their own. Dentistry is a subjective art. People have different thresholds for when they want to have fillings put in. I prefer to not drill holes in my teeth if it's not strictly necessary. You may feel differently. Just know that they set the threshold for drilling very high.
