As a senior 80+ yrs old, we informed the dentist that special care should be taken while she is lying down. Unfortunately, the dentist positioned her head lower than her feet causing her to gag. To worsen the situation, she went in for teeth cleaning, only to be told that he was unable to perform the cleaning as it is not part of his job. She consented to a filling, but instead of filling her cavity this dentist administered an injection in her lip and merely 'cemented' 2 of her teeth together. She endured pain for 8 days and when we called the dentist for a discussion, he never returned our call. the receptionist claimed that they do not inject into lips suggesting that we were being dishonest. To make matters even more worse, 3 of her teeth fell out after this appt. I considered filing a complaint with the dental collage & even though they sent a form, my mother decided against it as she struggles to manage stress. The dentist charged the gov't and my mother an additional $200 for this procedure stating that not everything is covered. this clinic is driven by profit - they damage your teeth with the expectation that you will return for further treatment. Please be cautious, especially if you are a senior!

I called reschedule, then gentlemen that answered the phone told me it was because I need a surgical dentist so he booked me in for another date. I had expressed how I need this molar pulled as its causing me such great discomfort. He put me on hold to check then gave me my appointment. I arrived today to once again told by this dentist they can't do it either must book with a surgical dentist I said that who i was supposed to see. So once again. Im out money for 2 days and having to pay a driver to drop me off . Im on Disability and can't afford losing $$ and now im broke and have to sit here for 2hrs for a free ride. I don't have any money to get a ride back another day. The dentist I did see was trying to wiggle and push on the tooth to see how loose it was and now is bothering more than usual. They just said nothing they could do, nor had any interest. I asked what can I do for the pain..she said Advil and told me it will probably be a month to see the surgeon as they are only in 1x month. So I sit and wait in pain. Broke and frustrated they said even then there is no guarantee he could remove it????when it was their clinic that did a root canal on it and now it sits my sinus cavity.

It was the worst snow storm Toronto had experienced for some time and still my hygienist and a receptionist had made it to work! Yontela and Kenna, you rock! The office was very clean, organized, sanitizer everywhere. Covid prep for sure. Temperature taken at wrist and prior to the visit a covid form is completed online. I was early for my 3.30pm appointment (~3pm because my trip to the post office was cut short, being that they were closed). I came in with two large boxes and Kenna was so kind and friendly, she told me I can keep the packages in the closet during my appointment and just made my awkwardness that more comfortable. During my appointment Yontela was so kind and patient--she answered all my questions and was very professional and gave me her input. She did not make me feel bad that I had difficulty flossing behind my back mollers and continued to encourage me to try and keep trying. I felt, all around, given the stress of the snow storm, the commute, the lack of staff... Kenna and Yontela are superstars! Thank you for the great visit to the dentist... He does unauthorized work and she is quite afraid of him after her experience. She when in for one problem and after her mouth was frozen he did lots of other things without even asking. When she asked what he did he just said it was necessary with no explanation. When she asked how much it cost it was well over $1000. When she said she didn't have that he tried to sign her up for "financing" for this and to get her signature she asked what the interest rate was at which time he said he could wreck her credit rating and she would never get any loans or a mortgage again. I transferred over the money to her and took her to my dentist who said only what she came in for was needed and that it should have only cost about $250 to $300 and not many times that.
