I do not write many reviews, but I had to write this one. I'm a 62 year old man and have struggled with teeth issues since early childhood. I spent thousands of dollars over the years trying to keep them. I finally got all top implants about five or six years ago, and I just had the bottoms done recently. I wish I'd done it all years ago! The implants were costly, but I would have saved thousands of previous and wasted dollars. More than that, I would have enjoyed these teeth over all the years I waited. My mouth went from embarassing to looking like a movie star! (Danny De Vito in my case.) I can chew anything! I take pleasure in my teeth every time I eat or look in the mirror. My wife loves it when I smile, mostly because of how happy this has made me. I feel like a new person. Not only that, but every one of their staff is a delight to deal with. Appointments are always on time. Most of all, I want to thank Dr. Gelfand. He's brilliant, a real artist, and a great guy with compassion and sense of humour. Dawson Dental has been the best investment I ever made!!! Thank you all!!!! read more

They scratched the sides of my mouth during a simple cleaning. My teeth did not look or feel clean afterwards. All I got out of this are swollen, stinging wounds inside my mouth. They seem really untrustworthy. - Wanted me to remove my wisdom teeth (already removed) before looking into my mouth or my records. - Wanted me to get a X-ray before looking into my mouth. - Told me I had a lot of severe cavities, but did not give me an exact number when I asked. - A dentist came into the room to confirm I had all these cavities by glancing for 5 seconds from 3 meters away. - Tried to schedule a filling within the same week, before I can get a second opinion. the dentist was really nice but the insurance from school only covered to clean the bottom half of teeth. which is weird so i didn't get the top half done. This never happened when i used insurance at other places. I didn't get an xray done either just the bottom half of the teeth cleaned. that was dissapointing read more

My dental experience exceeded my expectations. I was a little hesitant at first coming to my first hygiene appointment but I was greeted warmly by the front desk. Then the hygienist was very courteous and had a welcoming manner that I immediately felt at ease. The whole cleaning appt was comfortable, informative, and very professional. Hi guys i liked going to that dentist. i wasnt very nervous in terms of the way they made me be put at ease. its a pretty clinic and the dr was cool. my work was very intensive and involved alot of time but it wasnt a unpleasent experience. i think its people i can trust there they are cool people and very friendly. read more

I have been seeing various dentists in different clinics in my search for dental care I can count on. The search is over!! Dr. Amlani at Dawson Dental is amazing. I got numerous fillings repaired at the same time and she was efficient, gentle, very pleasant and reassuring so that I wasn't a bundle of nerves when I was done. To top it off, I had no issues of discomfort or sensitivity that I normally have had to deal with a few days later. Her assistant Clare is very knowledgeable and I really appreciate her taking the time to explain what to expect. Overall, they both create an atmosphere that allows me to relax, which is something I don't think I have ever experienced at the dentist. Finally, shout out to the ladies at reception who have the best customer service. I always feel attended to. Eliza has been amazing at taking the time to help me understand insurance coverage and she has always followed through getting me the information I needed. Everyone I dealt with (starting from my initial phone call to Dawson Dental where I spoke to a friendly, kind, sweet and helpful receptionist - perhaps named Josie?) was exceptionally friendly, helpful, nice and welcoming. I had a wonderful experience, which I understand is odd to say after leaving the dentist. My best friend/co-worker recommended Dawson Dental for their outstanding service and friendliness, and even after her recommendation, I was still further surprised by how great everyone was. I am very thankful for the time Dr. Cohen personally took to see me and do tests himself, the helpfulness and encouragement of his assistant, and the care and advice given by his assistant and the hygienist who cleaned and polished my teeth. I went to dawson dental to have a mouthguard made. I made sure to get the total price before the mouthguard was made. After the procedure was completed, I paid the agreed upon amount. I received my mouth guard a month later. It took about twice as long to arrive than the 2 weeks that I was told. The transaction was complete; I received a service and product, and I paid the total sum. 3.5 months later, I get an invoice in the mail, for 35% of the amount I had originally paid. I have never had any services done at dawson dental, other than this mouthguard. I called and spoke with Essie, who describes herself as a manager. She tells me that the original price was just an estimate (haha how convenient that this is the first time i have heard that), and that I would be required to pay 35% more than the original cost, because the product costs more than they had anticipated. I thought this was some kind of joke, but she was quite serious. The transaction was already completed, how can they come back and ask for more money 3.5 months later? If I was told of the hidden fees beforehand, I would have purchased my mouthguard elsewhere, as the 35% mark up meant that the product was no longer at a competitive price. Essie tells me that I am unreasonable, and that I should just pay the money. She tried to guilt me by reminding me that the cost would now have to come out of Dr. Moss' pocket, and how little dentists made because they have debt from dental school. I stuck firm to my principals: I will not pay for your error. We had agreed upon a price, you cannot come back later and ask for more. Essie ends the phone call by telling me that patients like me are not welcome at Dawson Dental. "like me" ? did she mean educated, fair, and noncompliant with bullying?​I am a smart consumer.
