Studio Caffeine is a great spot to get a well-made fry up/English breakfast in a few different varieties along with some strong espresso to wake yourself up. The restaurant is located right on Temple Street, easy to find. The inside is small, cozy, and clean, decorated in a rustic style with maybe 10 tables or so. When I arrived at about 10:30 AM on a Saturday there were several open tables, but by the time I left (a little after 11) the restaurant was full, so you may need to wait a bit if you arrive during rush times. The ordering process is order-at-the-counter style, with a staffer bringing your food and/or drinks when they're ready. Like many places in Hong Kong, Studio Caffeine does not seem to have drip coffee available, so if you're just a plain black coffee drinker like me, you'll have to be okay with an Americano or a shot of espresso. My Americano was pretty good, though not the best, but the prices here are extremely reasonable so no complaints. As mentioned, the English breakfast comes in a few different varieties. I went with the "Classic," which consists of scrambled eggs, baked beans, toast, bacon, pork sausage, and salad. Each item was very good (and again, excellent value for the price, though I would have liked to see maybe a little more protein and a little less lettuce) and I left the restaurant feeling full and satisfied. Overall, a fast and delicious experience at Studio Caffeine and I'd definitely recommend if you're looking for a fast western-style breakfast in the area.

I came here based on the yelp reviews, but I have to say it wasn't as good as I expected, and quite irritating actually. The food was good, but the coffee I feel was very average. Below are the details: We got here and noticed the place is super small. We were seated (party of 2) and given menus, and picked our food/drinks fairly quickly. We wanted to try a variety of coffees, so we got the 3-coffee flight (each). Well, they gave us 2 each. But that's not even the part I had issues with. I don't speak Mandarin or Cantonese, so I'm ok with people not getting my order correctly all the time. Most of the time they do, and if they don't, no biggie... I have enough sense of humor to deal with that. What I didn't appreciate was that we got the food, finished it, and had to grab the attention of the waiter about 3-4 times to see what happened to the coffees. As far as I could keep track, the tables on either side of us turned over 3 times before we got the first flight of coffee, and another 10 mins before we got the next one. So trying coffees side by side definitely went out the window. What really bothered me was that all the coffees tasted EXACTLY THE SAME! I really don't think the barista knew what he/she was doing (there are so many people back there there's no way to know who did what). Everything tasted acidic to the point were we just chugged things down to get our caffein fix and leave ASAP. I'm enough of a coffee connoisseur to have the pallet to tell the difference between two different coffees. It's not my first time trying coffee samplers. But if we ordered 4 different things and everything tastes exactly the same to both of us, somebody somewhere got the stuff mixed up... after trying to make it for over 30 mins!!! Add to that the extremely long wait time and seeing everyone that came in before/after us getting their orders and leave and that made for a very unhappy customer.

Expensive, average and overpriced western breakfast, coffee is good, but expensive. They do have a deal during the week in the Am hours to get a free latte up to a certain amount with the purchase of breakfasts. Make sure to read the fine print though...as you may think your latte is free and then it isn't. This seems more of a local spot for expats, as I didn't notice any other tourists here. I also did notice some local families and business professionals coming in as I left. The environment is nice, clean, and the music playing in the background is relaxing. They aren't too busy either if you go early when they first open around 8-9am. It is a good spot for reading, going on a coffee date, or a quiet place to work on a computer for a bit. They offer free wifi, free water and a bathroom for all customers. Overall good place. Next time I would probably skip the food as it wasn't impressive, but I would go back for the coffee and the atmosphere!

If you're looking for all day western breakfast or just a simple cup of coffee, come here! Quiet environment and comfortable seating, which isn't easy to find in HK. You have to order at the front (they don't come to you). We ordered the English/American breakfast and it satisfied my cravings so much. After months of eating dimsum and HK style food, I just wanted some simple American food. Really solid breakfast choices! We also got their matcha latte which was amazing! Not only pretty but also layers of flavor. Hole in the wall that's worth checking out.

Good Morning! It's a great way to start the day, try their Classic Breakfast with coffee. The ambience of the place is great, great service and great food. Can't go wrong with coffee to get your day started..

Environment: Quite relaxing. Not too busy on a weekend morning. Drinks: I tried the cappuccino and it was good. Nice presentation of it as well. Good spot for: Catching up with friends and chatting To look forward to: They have guitars and a mini stage area in the back, but they currently don't have a schedule of performers yet. Looking forward to it!

Cool place. Coffee is good, not really hot though but good. Food is good as well. Not bad at all to start the day and very easy to find on Temple St.

Studio Heavy Metal all-day breakfast: $88 HKD OR ~$6.75 USD

Quiet atmosphere, great all-day breakfast. I'm a 6'3 American with a big appetite, and Studio Caffeine's Heavy Metal breakfast satisfied. I paid $88 HKD or ~$6.75 USD, which sounds high (most meals in small shops are ~$50 HKD), but well worth it. Food was tasty and filling, wifi super fast, owners are friendly, and it's clean and quiet. Highly recommended. FYI: cash only, and I'm not a routine coffee drinker so I have no opinion on the quality of my Americano. It seemed pretty good.

Very good breakfast! The eggs are amazing. The sausage is perfectly cooked, and the coffee is top notch. If I ever find myself in Hong Kong again, I am definitely paying this place a visit.

We went here because I saw some of the good reviews and I did not regret it at all... this place was so good we visited twice! The first time we got the classic breakfast and the American breakfast platters... everything was so good (except for the truffle mashed potato in our opinion)! The second day I got the garden salad (their dressing is amazing!) and the avocado and salmon toast (fave!)... the ice dropped coffee tasted smooth and the green tea latte was just right! Would definitely come back here again

    The perfect cappuccino!

Breakfast done to perfection. Perfectly cooked and flavoured. Loved the classic breakfast and the Cappuccino was perfect in every way - see the pictures - visual and flavour. Why are the cappuccinos better in HK than Montreal?

    Crystal L.

The food was really good and the portion was pretty big. The brunch set includes a wide variety of food choices and it also comes with a drink. Price is fair too! Great little place for a brunch date or afternoon tea with friends! Would probably come back again in the future!

The eggs being over cooked, had a non runny yolk. I ordered sides of baked beans and corn grits which were both fine. Our plates came out with the sides switched up. Not a big deal. Not bad for a western breakfast in Hong Kong. Not great either. I've had better western breakfast in Shanghai, though you would think Hong Kong being the international hub it is, would have even higher standards for western foods. Eggs Benedict: 85HK. I went with an Eggs Guacamole and a mango juice and I thought it was all pretty awesome overall. The food isn't overly expensive, you get fairly generous portions, and they definitely don't skimp on your free sides. The potatoes were a tad dry and I probably wouldn't go with them the next time around, but their grits aren't half bad. Hollandaise sauce is thick, yet runny, and the eggs were poached perfectly. The guacamole was offered in generous portions, and the only thing that I could possibly say they weren't generous with, in terms of portion size was my juice. That's fine though. I'll definitely be back to try a few other menu items.

They also had mint infused water near the bar area, and a separate two floor area for seating, accessible by walking out and around the left corner into a separate below space. Mason jar lights dangle from the ceiling and a light teal wall and yellow flowers brightens the room. My friend and I sat here for a little over an hour sketching the space. Also, their coffee is less acidic too. I mean there's not a lot of good coffee in hk. One more thing I like about this place is that they have a lot of milk options.
