My review for MegaBurn is way overdue. I just don't want to sound like a broken record, because obviously theres nothing else to say but all the great things everyone else has already said. I'm extremely excited for them to open up their second studio in the East. This location is so easy to find, and parking is a breeze. Classes here are generally 45 minutes, and they're slowly integrating beginner and mobility workshops. They're such a great group of beautiful talented trainers who support you through out the entire class. It's like a group personal training session if you've never had the opportunity to experience a Reformer's Pilates class. The trainers really know their anatomy and teach you how to properly engage your muscles with proper form and technique. They're also so wonderful at taking feedback and really want what's best for you, so if you ever have any ideas on things you want to see in the studio, they're all ears. Every one of my friends who I've brought here have been hooked on the intensity, the tribe vibes, and technicality of the variety of classes they offer. They get to know you individually and your strengths & weaknesses to make sure that you're doing what's most optimal for your body, there's always variations that they provide if you have physical limitations. So it's super important to communicate that to your trainer so you can get the most out of your session. The facility itself is beautiful and always so clean, even with all the foot traffic this studio receives. I love that they have toiletries in the restroom for you to freshen up with after class. & the theragun is so therapeutic after the sweat sesh. If you're looking for some motivation and a great community to be surrounded by, I highly recommend checking this studio out.

I love everything about Megaburn. It is my absolute favorite workout. All of the trainers are knowledgeable of the muscles and exercise modifications if you need. This high intensity pilates class is like no workout I have ever experienced before you get a combination of cardio and strength in each class. I have been a member for 2 years now and I don't plan on leaving ever!!

There aren't enough stars here to appropriately rate MegaBurn and the impact this place, these people, and this workout have had on my life. I was wide-eyed in aw, chills (and maybe some tears) from my very first session - not only is this the hardest most focused workout I've ever experienced but the energy, motivation & Life coaching community that lives in these ladies bones is the real deal. As a post-collegiate athlete I was always searching for ways to get THAT feeling from a workout and a team, and I consider MB my family, my church, my me time, my bootylicious playlist dance party and fitness goals all in one. These women are truly changing lives. MegaBurn is a PDX hidden gem. I love you guys!!! , Kiki

Words can't describe how MEGAWESOME this place is! The instructors (Carolynn, Ellie, Samantha, and Chelsea) are all unbelievably amazing, motivational, and badass. There's no need for me to go into details about everything these ladies do to make this place and their classes amazing and sweaty - every other review has done that. Do yourself a favor and just book a class! I'm hooked on the place and the friends that I've brought along are hooked on it too.

Holy cow what a burn! I've never done a workout on these fun machine and let me tell you, you feel it right away! Ellie was kick ass, patient and so helpful at getting us to hold it just a little bit longer. I felt very comfortable in their space. Have been struggling with my weight since chemo treatment last year and to be around others who are already super fit can be a bit intimidating. This place made me feel so good and a part of their community. Must try!

    Lisa M.

Attended my first Megaburn class today and it was awesome. Not only did I feel the burn, but Ellie walked around while describing each move to make sure we had the correct form. Because they limit each class to 10 people it also felt less intimidating to try something new. My favorite part was when Ellis voice would get all excited and say "you got this" I am looking forward to going back for more classes. A few other things to note. They have baskets for your purse, keys and whatnot, there is a bathroom stocked with lovely things, and plenty of free parking. Plus it is easy to fine. If you are looking for a new, fun workout this is one you need to try!

Megaburn is the best, I started with a thought of just trying a new form of exercise and thought of trying Pilates. All the instructors are so good, specially Carolynn and Chelsea will make you push your limits. I really enjoyed all the classes there, helps improving flexibility and is definitely fun. And size of the class is 10 max, which is pretty good. Give it a try

MegaBurn has changed my life! A year ago I could barely hold a plank and my self confidence was real low. The women at MegaBurn created a space and community that is so welcoming and supportive. I love these women and I love MegaBurn. It's so much more than a workout, it's a family!

    Stephanie M.

MegaBurn Fitness is so much more than I expected. I spent the summer in Oregon this year and I was looking for a place that had Megaformer Pilates. That is what led me to this amazing place. 42 sessions later, I am so excited about how my body looks and feels. My legs didn't look this good 20 years ago! If you are looking to tighten and tone your derrière as well as your other body parts, Carolynn, Ellie and their crew will hook you up!

Clean studio! Excellent instructors, one of a kind class, mega fun!!

Is there a shower at the studio?

We do not have showers. We do provide towels, fresh wipes, and a variety of toiletries to freshen up in our bathroom. We also keep the a/c on year round to prevent any overheating.

Since 24HF has senior fitness classes on the days that my community center doesn't, I decided to go. I'm older and use the One Pass that comes with Medicare Insurance. When I approached the classroom where the senior fitness classes are taught, I was appalled at how crowded it was. There were at least 50 people in the room, possibly more. There wasn't enough room to move around without smacking the person next to you. I told The downstairs person (who was working alone and running all over the gym doing other duties). He told me that they are allowed 60 people in that class. I asked if they check to make sure every person is reserved? And they don't. Yes, I get my membership for free. But before Covid I paid around $700/a year for my membership and that would really piss me off to try to go to a class that was not being managed as far as reservations and overcrowding go. I think I'm going to look into a different gym for my extra workout workouts.

A great value for convenient workouts!…read more Not only is all the equipment well maintained, the exercise room, flexibility equipment, and bathrooms are spotless. Best of all, the previous franchisee and the current franchisee have been wonderful to deal with. No nonsense, no hidden fees. The large glass windows give you something to look at besides a TV if you're trying to gut out a boring workout on the glider when it's raining out. If I've ever had a bad workout out here, it's because it's small enough that just one other person in the gym can make your workout miserable. It only takes one bonehead who likes cranking The 700 Club and Fox News to 90 dB while you're trying to finish off an upper body superset to make you wish you'd brought some noise cancellation equipment to shut out the cacophony. Yeah, that person is real, as is the person who likes to leash her aggressive pit bull to the door while she works out. It's not really the franchisee's fault, but it is reflective of the gym's clientele, location, and layout. Even with that nit, if you just want to get in, do a workout, and get out, this is the best place on the West Side to make it happen. P.S. The gym is actually open to customers 24 hours a day. The business hours in the yelp description refer to the times when someone is there for membership services.

They've been hemorrhaging members ever since they increased their prices substantially--$35 MORE per month. This is double what they were originally charging. If they don't reduce their prices, they're just going to keep losing members, especially those who joined when they first opened. The only thing that kept me at Snap was the price, but since they've increased it across the board, I'm happy to switch to another gym (West Coast, Crunch, etc.) who offers more equipment, digital scan check-in, towel service, and a large stretching room that isn't always full or occupied by a class. Their semi-new "recovery lounge" is the reason for the steep price increase. Rather than offering it as a separate add-on fee, they decided to add the fee onto everyone's monthly memberships, knowing very well that no one ever uses the lounge. Honestly, they'd have much better luck swallowing the cost of the expensive lounge and reducing their membership fees in order to attract new/former members. No one's going to pay $70/month on a gym membership. They don't even have digital scan check-in and you still have to use a physical key card to get in. Most other gyms have adopted the digital scan through your phone. Also, if you lose your card, it's $15 for a replacement card. It boggles my mind that Snap held a Member Appreciation week event recently. If they truly appreciated their members, they wouldn't have increased their prices a few months prior...

I live in Vancouver, Washington and I drive all the way to this studio in the Beaverton/ Hillsboro area at least once a week. I love that the instructors have a variety of teaching modalities. I also walk every day, do yoga, and lift weights separate from these classes, but really see Pilates as a place to lengthen and strengthen your muscles and relax. It's definitely not the hardest workout. I do but something about it keeps me coming back. My favorite instructors are Michael and Dahn. I like how they bring a lot of mindfulness and self-awareness to their classes and focus on body mind connection. Which is what I like about Pilates and also that they keep the entire class on the reformer. I'm not a fan of Matt Pilates or doing all the extra things off of the reformer so anyone that focuses on that is preferred for me. I also like that neither of them talks too much. I feel like I've been to some Pilates studios where you can't keep up with what they're saying and focus on your body at the same time. They have the perfect balance of explaining how to do something and where to feel it without being verbose. The only area of improvement to me is the music. I feel like every time I visit the playlist are very similar no matter who is teaching or there's no music and I feel like music can make a workout go by a lot faster if it has a good energy and BPM.
