I came in for a cut and low lights with Shane Harris. The salon itself is bright and clean. Shane did a great job with my hair. I'm growing out black dye and incorporating low lights, so really needed someone who knew what they were doing with bleach. He listened to what I wanted to accomplish and made great suggestions to how we could adjust to get the best look for me. He's absolutely fantastic with both women's and men's cuts...my husband also came in for a hair/beard trim and walked out looking amazing. read more

Lacking customer service and courtesy. I've never once complained about a salon's customer service, and at 39 years old I've done and seen it all. It is clear to me that good customer service is Not hard to find or achieve, so I will not support a business that can not do so, hence the only reason worth even posting this review. They do not deserve your business as is. They're management is lacking the training on what it means to treat a client with kindness & common courtesy, let alone aiming for client retention. I feel bad for the stylists that actually do get it but have the unfortunate management & lack of customer service to get good clients. I imagine there is a big stylist turn over rate there. I'll be taking my monthly nail appointments, hair colorings, any massages and any face or skin related business elsewhere and will never give them a second thanks to just ten seconds of rudeness that was completely unnecessary. I am so disappointed, but there are endless other choices in this area. I wanted to give them a try due to their location, but they handled a Very simple situation so poorly that it was mind boggling how they even survive as a business based in customer service. read more

I wanted to write this review months ago but I never got to it ! I had a horrible experience with one of the lash techs there ! I got recommended to Alyssa and she did my lashes the first time and not so bad now when I came in for a fill the second time , idk if she was having a bad day or what but she was mad at the fact I had scheduled for the wrong fill and that she wasn't going to have time and she was going to work with the time she's got " understandable" but yet she sounded so annoyed already ! Then she get mad because I was wearing make up and told me that I can't wear make- up to my appointment in a rude way And then when she was done she l wanted to take a picture of my lashes with the beaming lights shining so bright into my eyes I could barley open my eyes and she was just there with the phone on top of me doing nothing !she saw I was struggling and did absolutely nothing ! I'm sure she knows better then that ! Super unethical ! Bad day or not Customers should never go through something like that especially where it's not even there fault we also take time out of our busy schedule to get mistreated like that oh no ! My hairstylist did not know how to cut my hair type. I have very curly hair and she cut it completely wet. Anyone with even minimal knowledge of hair should know that shouldn't be done. A simple google search can even tell you that. I also asked for face framing and instead got chunks removed and a random short piece in the middle of my head. She kept asking if I wanted it blow dried or straightened.. I have never dyed my hair and rarely touch it with heat to protect my natural curls. Whole experience was very off putting. read more

She asked at the start how much it was going to be and they just told here they just raised there price and didn't know. then the bill was $220!!!!! I just got done getting a massage from Heather at studio 170. It was the most amazing massage I've ever had and everyone there treated me like I was family. I am in a wheelchair and Heather was so kind to help me get on the table and get positioned. She really made me feel good. I'm definitely going back again and again. Sarai did my hair and makeup for my wedding. I was quoted for event pricing by the salon because I wanted something super natural and not too much. So, $90 was the price I was quoted with a conformation email. Sarai did my makeup with little skill and tack. She used makeup that dirty and old. After it was all finished, I received a job I could have done myself and she wanted to charge me $150 when the front desk quoted me $90. After giving her $105 dollars, she harassed me and my family because she wanted the extra $45 dollars. All in all, terrible salon. They hired a stylist that is unprofessional and is not skilled. read more

I have yet to have a good experience here. I was given a $50 gift certificate to here so I went to get auburn low lights put into my blonde hair a couple weeks before my wedding. I asked for an experienced stylist because my wedding was approaching quickly. The stylist was late due to talking to other hair stylists for 15 minutes before she final took me back. We talked about what I wanted and I showed her pictures and expressed my deep concern because my wedding was approaching. I picked a color from the book and it took roughly 3 hours for her to put the lowlights in my hair. Once she took them out I was mortified! It was not even close to the color I picked. She even mentioned that it was way different then she thought and that she "must have mixed the dye wrong or something." I hated it. It was chunky bright red streaks in my hair. I asked if she could at least blend it in by bleaching some of it. She said her schedule was too full for the next couple weeks so she would refer me to one of the other stylists. She then charged me $89 instead of the agreed $65 she told me prior because "it took longer than expected." I was furious. All in all, I left crying, and they made no effort to fix it. (I went to an at home stylist and she thankfully worked magic to fix it) The next experience I had was this past week. My mom, sister, and I won free facials from a Facebook contest they did last year. We scheduled consecutive appointments with the first being my moms, at 11. The lady was 45minutes late. She claimed she thought she had the day off when the front desk finally called her telling her that she had a client waiting. The salon then made no effort to call my sister and I to inform us that our appointments would be delayed an hour. The facial was not relaxing what so ever, and within a day all three of us are breaking out with acne (we rarely even get acne!) This was my last experience with this Salon. I do not recommend it. read more

I first came to this Salon for a body massage and had an amazing massage done by Heather. She took the time to ask me what my needs were and definitely spent the time needed in the areas I needed some extra work. I came back to her a second time a few weeks later and she definitely took the time to give me some tips on how to continue reducing the stress on my body. I felt she was super professional and very kind. Next I came to the salon for a color correction issue that I had. Another salon,I will leave nameless, left my hair with a lot of brass after an orange hair coloring mishap. Since I have darker hair they recommended I work with Sarai. I was told she has the most experience working with darker hair and lightening. I decided that since I had a great experience with the massage I would make an appointment with Sarai. She was amazing. Completely polite and completely professional. She showed me several different pictures with outcomes that were possible to fix my hair. After the treatment I felt amazing and relieved that she was able to get all the brass out of my hair. She has saved me from continuous embarrassment and made my hair look very professional for my job. She showed me her Instagram account so I can book appointments with her there and paying her was super simple. I highly recommend Sarai as she is professional and polite. I was new to Logan, moving from Los Angeles, and I can tell you that I've had a lot of great stylists when I lived out there and Sarai is top notch. I LOVE this salon. All the employees are professional and really know what they are doing. The product they sell is top of the line and all my questions were answered about the products I was considering buying. I feel very confident referring friends and family to this salon because I know that they will be happy with the services provided. My favorite stylists are Sarah (the owner) and Noemi. Sarah is fantastic with hair and I do not trust anyone else but her with it. Noemi does my nails every 3 weeks and I am amazed by the work she does. I got my hair cut last week with Tanner. I was running behind and felt so terrible, but she was patient and ended up doing an amazing job. I was nervous because I was cutting several inches off. I showed her a picture of what I would like, she glanced at it and it turned out perfect and exactly like the picture. Best haircut in a long time. I'll definitely be back. read more

This place is a gigantic rip off!!! Do NOT go here. I went once for a cut and a weave and was charged $80. 6 months later I returned to have the same thing done and was charged $140!!!!!! Who charges $140 for a cut and weave???!!!!! This isn't Hollywood - we are in Logan and I am a student. I tried to talk to the manager about the difference in price and they did NOTHING about but say "that's just what we charge" I will NEVER return. read more

My experience with the studio was horrible. They were very unprofessional. My girlfriend scheduled an appointment with Their most experience hairstylist 2 1/2 months in advance. Two weeks before her appointment she called and asked about the discount they were having. She was told that she would get this discount and they scheduled her as such. 30 minutes before her appointment they gave her a call and told her that the discount was not available for the hairstylist she was scheduled for. She showed up to the salon and talk to them and they continually put the blame on her. So I called and talk to them. They took no responsibility for the actions that were made instead putting blame on her. Then said the call she made two weeks earlier never happened but it was scheduled at the discounted price in their computer. If I could give studio a half star I would. read more

My daughter had her hair and makeup done by Sarai at Studio 170 on 9/21/18. I made her an online appointment for "Event Makeup and Hair" since she wears very little makeup and wanted something very light. I called the front desk to confirm the time and event pricing (which I took a screenshot of it..thank god!) The website showed 55.00 for makeup and 35.00 for hair. I called to confirm the pricing and time with the front desk receptionist. After her services were rendered my daughter gave Sarai 105.00 which included a 15.00 tip. Sarai told her that her price was 150.00 since she was " independently operated and she owed her 40.00, she then she told my daughter she would charge her 120.00. I called the salon myself and went over what I was told and I was told I would have a manager call me. Sarai texted my daughter and said if she didn't return with the money she would file a theft for services police report. I told the salon that they should not be quoting prices for independent salon booth renters if this was the case. I have a cosmetologist license in my state and I would never lose my mind over 40.00 when first of all I was quoted one price and Sarai NEVER told my daughter what she charged even as she sat in her chair before she started services. A police officer came to her door today asking for our side. I'm speechless that a professional cosmetologist would ever consider going to that extreme as to file a frivolous theft for service police report when she as a professional was in the wrong. Next stop is the Utah Cosmetology Board to file a formal complaint on her and also the Salon for not acting in a professional manner on employing supposedly "professionals" in their establishment. Unfortunately this kind of behavior should never be acceptable and I would never employee someone that would take measures like this into their own hands when they are Representing my salon. **Update ...Utah Police Department obviously said that this was not something that they would take on, it's not criminal. I will still pursue what I need to do as a customer. read more

My experience was awful. I booked with Sarah H for Hair and Makeup as I had a photoshoot that day. My appointment was booked Bout r weeks in advance. I get to my appointment and Sarah did not write me down in her books. She forgot about me. Extremely upset trying to hold back tears in the salon because at this point I don't have time to do my own hair and makeup. Sarah finally comes in 30 minutes later. My makeup looked good. But I wanted my (mid forearm length) hair curled. Where my hair is so long, I told her it doesnt hold the curl very well. I said, if it will help hold the curl, you can cut a little bit off if you want. Without offering any other solutions she agreed and showed me an inch where she was going to cut. I said that she could take a little more than that off. Next thing I knew, there was at least 6 inches of my long beautiful hair, carelessly chopped off and on the floor. In other places there was a difference of another 3 inches in length. I tried contacting her about my concerns and she told me it'd be best to go to someone I could rely on. Not another comment of fixing my hair was mentioned. I had to go get it fixed as it looked like a 3 year old had taken scissors to it. My hair needed another 3 inches off to get it all one length. A total of 8.5 inches was taken off my hair because of her mistake. And now, I am banned from getting my nails done there as well because of her mistake. I then communicated how unfortunate the situation was and that all I really wanted was a sincere apology for destroying years off my hair. And the text I got back? "The only thing I'm sorry for is booking you in the first place. Take your drama somewhere else" Needless to say, I DO NOT recommend Sarah H at all. Or Studio170 for that matter. As the manager has done nothing to make this right, but claims she has "done their best to meet my needs" and also seems completely fine with how her staff treats their clients. I would not go back here a really unprofessional response to a bad hair color that turned my hair orange instead of blonde left my hair looking like i had a five inch regrowth charged 105.00 for finally having to get my hair just one color when i could if went to Sallys and got the color and did it at home for 10 I would not recommend going there they just took it upon them selves to do what they thought was right and also covering it up with curls. Pretty unimpressed. I went to Studio 170 for a 60-minute Swedish massage. I arrived early to fill out paperwork before my appointment time, but still was not called back until after my appointment time and I knew the therapist had ended the previous massage with plenty of time as I saw her walking around and talking with the receptionist. The room was not as dimly lit as I would have liked it to be for it to feel calming. In the room, there was only a bed, mirror, and small table with some oils on it. No candles or any additional decor to add to the ambiance. My therapist was kind and respectful, and I almost feel guilty for writing this review, but I was very disappointed by her massage. She spent no time on my legs or feet and divided all her time between my back and arms. She spent an unusual amount of time on my hands pushing on the pressure point at the base of my thumb. She went through this on both hands TWICE. It was an extremely painful massage, to the point that I was uncomfortable and was continuously tensing up the entire time. I also was unable to relax as the therapist was playing a Pandora station on her phone (commercials included!) and I could hear her quietly singing/mouthing along to 80's love ballads. It was very distracting from what I had hoped to be a relaxing experience. When she told me that my massage was finished and left the room I quickly checked the time on my phone. She had ended 7 minutes before my appointment time was scheduled to end. I would estimate that I ended up getting 40 minutes of actual massage time out of the 60 minutes I paid for. While it is a clean and well-designed facility that appeared to have a lot to offer, I am very disappointed that I let that fool me into booking a massage there. read more

I normally go here and have my hair cut by Sara. Never had a bad experience and the haircuts are always spot on. Never had a problem. Up until it was time for me to get my hair and makeup done for my wedding. I made the appointment with Sara. When I arrived the morning of my wedding for hair and makeup she was working on another clients hair... (When I originally tried making the appointment for that Saturday I was told that she doesn't work Saturdays but that she would come in that day anyways.) When I was called back to get the process started it was not Sara who started working on my hair. Not to mention when I come in to get a haircut normally my hair gets washed and dried. I did not wash my hair that morning with the expectation of getting my hair washed like every other time I had come in. Also I showed the girl that ended up doing my hair instead of Sara a picture of the hair style I was wanting Waterfall braids going back on each side with curls on the rest of the hair... instead of using a curling iron or even a wand she used a flat iron... curls were already falling out before I walked down the aisle. Not to mention the waterfall braids were also falling out. The only thing Sara did that day was my make up which was good. Overall I felt that the service I was given that day I could have just done it myself to get actual curls and waterfall braids that held and saved $150. I do not feel that the service was worth $150 save your money and do your own wedding hair and makeup or go somewhere else to get it done and let Studio 170 stick with just cutting and dying hair. read more
