I was pleasantly surprised by La Nails!! Here are some things to note about my appointment: - I received a fill - I called in to get an appointment for the same day, Wednesday afternoon - my nail tech was Wan! As soon as I entered, I was greeted, and offered a drink as I was picking out a color. I think that they have read everyone's reviews and have made a conscious effort to step up their customer service game. WAN did AMAZING. He took his time getting the perfect shape of my nails. He helped address my concerns of my nails growing out crooked and even built them back up in a way so that they looked straight. Not too thin, not too thick, perfect acrylic application. He took his time to build up the apex, making sure I didn't get the dreaded flat acrylic nails. I believe I paid about 50 dollars after a tip, which I think is fair considering the quality service I received. I will definitely be coming back!! Give La Nails a chance and don't let bad reviews from 6 years ago scare you away!! read more

Juan is amazing. If you want solid acrylics without worry I would recommend him. He has done my nails a few times and makes them PERFECT. He is insanely talented at getting the picture perfect nails!!! 4 stars because I have had a bad experience here getting my nails done by the lady who answers the phone, she's very kind but is too busy answering the phone to do good work. Check one, check two... ok I went to LA Nails, about almost 1 month ago for a pedicure and acrylic plus gel (my usual) I'm transitioning from Salt Lake City (Sugarhouse) with my fiancé. I decided to go back a second time, because I thought the young lady did pretty darn good. Plus the manger was really nice. I set an appointment a few days before for a pedicure and a fill on my toes. I was greeted very nicely by the woman owner, because she remembered me. I loved that. She also had the same person do my pedicure. So I was very happy so far. So the woman went to doing my toes first by removing my gel. I'm Thinking soon after she'd start running the water the getting the tools together for my pedicure. NOPE!! I told her "I wanted a pedicure" I'm guessing she was just going to do my toes as is. The owner told her I was getting a pedicure... so then she started to run the water, with a defeated look and body language. She literally just put water in the bowl, nothing else. JUST RINSED MY TOES. No brush, not clipping, no nothing. I was shocked I had to ask her to if she could literally give me a pedicure. The manager came over again and was highly disappointed in her.... She didn't even remember who I was!! Still!!! I told her what color I wanted (Yellow) she had the nerve to tell me THAT COLOR WAS UGLY!!!! and TO PICK ANOTHER COLOR!!!! I told her NO I WANT THAT COLOR (Yellow) after that that was it for me!!!! I told her to stop what she was doing and paid what the owner said she thought I should pay... and I appreciate!! NO I DIDN'T TIP!!!! Awful experience! I had to beg the lady doing my nails to please do my cuticles... a different lady told me, "some times we don't need to do them". Huh? That was half the reason I wanted to get my nails done. She then proceed to cut the shit out of them and, made three of them bleed! My pedicure was no better. She did nothing in the way of filing my heals. My brother in law asked me when we got back if they forgot to do my feet or what! Then they charged $70.00! I got my nails done here yesterday (a full set of acrylics with tips) and they look amazing! The man doing my nails took so much care to make sure each mail looked perfect. A fuzzy made it's way onto my nail while he was doing the acrylic, and he took the time to get it out and reshape the acrylic! Very very impressed. read more

My nails turned out beautifully and I the woman I spoke with was very nice and apologetical about the wait. Sure, the shop itself is small but you can tell that all the employees are hardworking and take extra care to do a good job. I had another awful experience at L.A. Nails. My appointment was at 2 and I finally got sat in the chair at 2:35. I asked for a full set of gel nails. I was told she didn't have time. She might have had she started on time. The lady after me asked for a full set of gel nails and coincidentally there was time for her! I was so angry. The lady that did my nails was answering the phone every 3 minutes, I finally told her she needed a secretary. She was offended at this. But every time she came back to my nails, she forgot where she was and started on another nail! Last time I went I got a very serious nail fungus. I was treated by a doctor and after several months of rubbing in cream it finally went away. I decided to give them another chance. The place was beyond filthy! I went to Miss Lynn to have a set of nails put on while I was there at my appointment. She kept filling asleep. She wasn't paying attention to what was going on. She put my nails on crooked. A day later I had to come back and have another nail put on correctly cuz she was sleeping when she did my nails. The bad part is she charged me full price for her mistake. read more

I came from out of state and needed a mani. Wow this place is just nuts! So unorganized and I feel sorry for people who had an appointment and still sat and waited for an hour. My sister in law took me here and its last time. I will ever go back when I am in Logan. The technician I had didn't ask what i wanted and cut all my nails down clipping me 3 times to try to make them shorter. I was trying to grow them out and now I am starting back at square 1. I called ahead and despite them running behind, Blanca is one on the best manicurists I've run into in Utah. Granted, the salon is missing most of the updates I'm normally used to but I don't care. If the manicure was great, you'll hear about it on Yelp. This nail salon is located in a quaint hallway next to Fun Unlimited, near JC Penney. They have quite the OPI selection, with some Orly colors. The also offer shellac if that's your thing. Be warned they're constantly busy, but are open until 9pm most nights. Not a bad deal at all. When I called the lady asked what I wanted and put my name down and I asked her three times if she had it scheduled for the right day, time, and name and she said yes. They got busy quickly, which is a good thing (for the salon), so it is best to just call to see what the schedule is like for the day. I got a simple pedicure and it's great! My 12 yr old granddaughter wanted to come, so with in 3 mins, we called back to make an appointment for a SECOND PEDICURE, and the lady said sure, "IF" they had time, they could do it. Great! Then, knowing my granddaughter would be disappointed if they didn't have time, my daughter suggested that I make it, a "Grandma Date", with just K and me. I thought that it would be special for both of us! So, K & I went shopping, to lunch, and then to LA NAILS, 5 mins early, to pick out our polish. We checked in, and said we had an appointment for an Acrylic FILL, a PEDICURE, with a possible 2nd Pedi, if they had the time. The lady then said "Yes, a Fill & a Pedi", then looked a K and back to me and said, maybe not a pedicure for her, just paint her nails, BECAUSE, they were "RUNNING LATE." I said, "Then we won't get the 2nd Pedi, just the ORIGINAL APPOINTMENT of a FILL & PEDI." Then it began, the lady said, "We'll just paint her nails..." and I said, but I made an appointment for a Fill and a COMPLETE PEDICURE. She repeated, that they were running behind...after about 5 mins of discussing said appointment, (in my mind, I'm thinking, "well, I'm sorry, that's not my fault!") I told her that I'd take my money someplace else, where they wanted it, and would honor the appointment made, and we left. If I wanted her nails PAINTED I would've made THAT KIND of appointment, like I did when she was 4 yrs. But, she's becoming a young woman, and deserved the attention & appointment I had made. These negative reviews are a bunch of crap. I've had my nails done here for over 10 years. All of the technicians are so great. Some do not speak english very well, but with the help of others, you can get your message to them. They do sometimes get behind on their schedule but it's because they are too nice and let people show up late for their appointments or add crazy requests to what have just been a regular fill or full set. I've sat next to people and have NEVER seen someone with a bad manicure or nail application EVER! read more

So let me start off with my first visit, I go in get SNS at the end I see that you can still see my natural nail through the polish I told them and they did nothing and said that is how it's supposed to look. I come in and she asks for my name, she then says I'm not on the list even though I called to let her know I am coming in. When I left I had hair stuck under the polish on one of my nails. I had polish all over my cuticles and on my skin. 3 of my nails were not even filled and I had acrylic all over my fingers. Do not go here for a pedicure. They don't use any scrub. Just soaked my feet and then rubbed lotion on my feet and legs. She made two of my toes bleed from filing them too hard. I called at my apartment time and the gal told me they were running late and told me to come in 30 minutes. I came 45 minutes late (as planned) and they got me right in to pick a color and sit in the best massage chair of my life. I waited probably 10 minutes but I'm telling you chair was great.
