I met today with Yukari to get Japanese straightening and keratin (keratin on the dyed part and Japanese on the roots) and I was amazed by how rude she continued to be throughout our session. When first styling my hair, Yukari took a brush to my wet hair to get the knots out and it caused large balls of my hair to rip out. You're not supposed to brush wet hair because it causes ripping and she ripped a lot. If anything, you're supposed to comb it. I showed her the large balls of hair on the floor (I wish I had taken a picture- there was A LOT) and she got so defensive. For the rest of the session, she was so nasty and rude. She said that the large balls of hair was from the fact that I didn't brush my hair that morning and it was shedding. She said the balls of hair was also because my hair is damaged. If my hair is damaged- which I have some highlights- then be gentle with it. After that, every time she went to brush my wet hair she said she was scarred and was just frankly a b**** at every point she could be. She made me sign a waiver, took pictures of my dandruff scalp to show me, and kept commenting on how damaged my hair was again and again. The way she did this didn't feel like someone being helpful and doing their job, it felt undercutting. I'm definitely not going back to this salon. Yukari kept her attitude the entire time we had left which was basically four hours. At one point she wanted to pull out of the whole operation and said this while the chemicals were already in my hair. It was such a power play. She didn't overall do a bad job with my hair but her attitude was incredibly unpleasant. She obviously was wrong but couldn't handle someone having an issue with her. I do not recommend going to her because she literally ruined my day and her character affected me long enough to need to write a review. I never write reviews but she was so nasty it got under my skin. I do not recommend seeing this woman because she's demeaning and on a high horse. read more

Went to get a haircut for my daughter. The owner said that kids haircuts are $35-45. My daughter was scheduled with a master stylist Michelle- she did a great job cutting hair with attention to detail. However, it costed me $95. Danielle did opposite of that, while she was sweet in two attempts to get it right in one visit unfortunately it was a epic fail. Now my hair is greyish blonde, dull, fried and roots are orange. I came to Studio 10 after looking at reviews through Yelp. The best way to know what price to expect is to get an estimate by emailing the salon. I have to say I am thoroughly impressed and very happy with my results! I was able to do balayage with Glenny. She is super sweet and works together with you to figure out what will look best for your hair. She is very thorough with her work and I am so incredibly happy with how it turned out. Additionally, the staff are also very kind. During these pandemic times I am worried with where I go, but the staff continuously sanitized their work stations and were wearing PPE. Even more importantly they enforced the rule that their customers wear masks and gloves. The studio itself is very beautiful. It has a very modern look and has many windows which allows a lot of light to come in. Additionally, the stations have high tech chairs that are pretty awesome. My review is long overdue for Salon 10 and my stylist there, Danielle. Both my husband and I have had Danielle color and style our hair for over a year now - since we relocated to SoFL. We are both super happy with the time, care and final outcome of each and every appointment in the talented hands of Danielle. Danielle has indulged my whims for lighter color, frosted highlights, hair length and hair accessories. But she also gives honest advice if she thinks I'd be straying from HEALTHY hair by some of my requests - which I greatly appreciate. She has a great eye for color, too, and has kept my hair looking as full and flattering as possible. I am cursed with very little hair that is extremely fine, so she has a real challenge. She gives advice about hair care products that give me volume without frizz, and also products to keep my fine, fly-away hair tame in SoFL's humid climate. I can't believe I didn't know about Yukari until recently! I'm completely, 100% satisfied. I can tell she's the real deal because she actually took volume out of my super thick hair just with her scissors (she didn't use those thinning shears!) Thank you for flattering me and complimenting my "virgin hair." I'd say that's the best term I've heard to describe my untreated hair (haha). My Japanese dad used to tell me back in the days that I would get thick, lustrous hair if I eat a lot of kelp (wakame). I never took him seriously but Yukari totally asked me if I eat kelp (answer: not as much as I used to). I caused a little bit of a scheduling glitch, because I was clueless and scheduled only for a haircut instead of haircut AND blow dry. There just wasn't going to be enough time in the haircut-only slot (20min) to deal with my thick long hair that hadn't been cut in a year. I was ready to reschedule but Yukari proved to be a super multitasker and managed to squeeze me in between her clients. Tip: Make sure you schedule for haircut AND blow dry if you have time-consuming hair. If I'm still living in the area in a few months I would definitely be back for another appointment. Went back last week for another haircut with Yukari-- just like the first time, the results were amazing! What's incredible is that it has been almost 3 months since I went for my first cut and my hair still held its shape! Again, I chose the angular cut/bob, longer at the front to frame the face and shorter in the back. I want to add also that just 2 days before my hair appointment, my daughter went to Liz as she specializes in curly hair and my daughter has long curly hair that dries and frizzes out easily. Liz did amazing work on her hair! For all the reasons you can think of, my daughter is very particular about who cuts her hair and she was ecstatic with how it turned out! Both Yukari and Liz, as well as the entire staff, are the most friendly group of people I have ever met and even my daughter said that the vibe there was awesome! I am not a Karen and I've never left a bad review in my life, until my hair was ruined. I went here for a simple partial foil that was almost $300. The price would've been fine if I got what I wanted or even close to what a partial foil is. The girl turned my hair dark gray and orange at the roots. She tried to fix it but left it worse. I went to other hair stylists after and they told me she ruined my hair. I use to be confident and loved my hair, now it's my biggest insecurity. Idk if I'll ever get it back to where it was before coming to this horrible, horrible place. I never got a refund. Spent $300 to ruin my hair and get it this ugly orangey- brassy color. If you are looking to bleach your hair I advise you to look elsewhere. I had a same day appointment looking to get my hair from black to ash brown. Understandably this is hard to achieve, I had mentioned over the phone I wanted to do it in sessions and the women (Gina) told me they would not have time do blow dry or cut my hair if they did it today. My response was okay perfect! I didn't want to have to cut any of my hair off in this process. I came in for my appointment and the owner as well as the stylist looked at my hair for a moment and said they would see where they could get me, I told them I was okay with sessions because I didn't want to severally damage my hair because I knew it wasn't easy going from black to ash brown. They started putting bleach all over my head, very thin sections with everyone working on it I was patient and complied with everything they did. I put my trust in their ability to do what they thought was best with my hair. Time had passed I don't know how long but it was AWHILE. I had that bleach in my hair for so long. Eventually when checking it I can here them speaking to each other quietly then keeping it in longer, this happened a few times throughout the process. Finally they take me to wash out the bottom half as the top was not quite done according to them. We wash it out and I feel something slimy on my neck I move it out of the way twice and finally realize this was my hair!! I grabbed it and it started falling apart in my hand.. I told Glenny that my hair was falling apart and she said they would not do anymore bleach.. she then starts speaking quietly with another girl while washing out my hair.. little do I know MORE bleach was added to the top portion of my head and I was sent to sit under the dryer.. after a decent amount of time we wash it off and I go to use the rest room and notice my hair is slimy, gooey, falling apart, not one piece of hair on my head was healthy.. by this point I was regretting every decision I made that day to go there. The owner noticed I was not happy and came over to me and says maybe we need another session of bleach.. I was basically mortified at this point as glenny says no more bleach.. the owner then comes back with a chart explaining why the bleach ruined my hair and explaining how it wasn't their fault. The stylist told me I would have to cut my hair NO SHIT! being that it's extremely damaged to the point it was all falling off! I explained to the owner that I was told I would not have to cut any hair off .. that implies they will do it right and not mess it up right??? Well according to her it meant I didn't HAVE to cut it off I could just leave the damaged hair on my head. Glenny was brushing through my hair as if it was not damaged making it even worse, tangling it, pulling through it so rough when applying the ash brown dye.. not to mention no bleach was applied to majority of my routes so they are dark, and the spots that had bleach gave me chemical burns on my scalp. I was told I would have to pay for a cut/blow dry, and a hair treatment if I wanted to add that EVEN THOUGH THEY JUST RUINED MY HAIR!!! All of that together would have been $400!!!!!! For ruined hair! I can't believe I paid $244 for my hair to be ruined by stylist and a salon owner. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I was very pleased with my experience at Studio 10. Went in for a consultation and was able to get in same-day for a Keratin treatment. Issa did an excellent job and I love love love the result! I wish I had taken before and after pictures because they would have spoken for themselves. Salon is very clean and pleasant. They have a point system with 200 points for 1st time visit and 2,000 points gets you $20 off a service. Yelp tip...look for check-in deals! There happened to be a 10% off any service when I was there. That was a pretty decent savings off my bill. read more
