A new spot to get a cut. I popped in the other day. A friend had said they do a decent fade. It was a new spot but I was trusting it because I knew of the barbers already. It wasn't hard to find, despite being surrounded by other store fronts. It was in the shopping area that wraps around the cove. The Blue awning was tough to miss. Inside was sharp. A clean look to things, including the Terrazzo floors and futuristic accent lighting. It was clear the look was minimalist for effect. I didn't have to wait long (I had planned an appt). My Barber Jhon did a great job. he was actually teaching a fellow barber who normally did women's hair, how to cut men's hair at the same time(I was cool with being a guinea pig). He did a 1 on the sides with a fade throughout. We also did a bit of a shape up. Now that I'm moving to the area, I'm glad I have a barber shop I can count on. Sometimes that takes months! read more

Just avoid this place if you are not a hair enthusiast. Sure, I got a decent haircut but I have never felt so disrespected in my life. I am a full time doctorate student with zero income for 3 years and an athlete with little time to spend on my hair, so when I needed a haircut I chose this place because it was local. I wasn't asking for anything fancy, I just literally needed a haircut. My hair is quite thick and frizzy, it does not dry very nicely. First I was uncharged quite a bit on the price because of this, and was told so in the most condescending way. Then, the eye rolls and looks from the hair stylist I saw in the mirror during the cut made me feel like a piece of garbage. I left this appointment feeling terrible. She told me to fix my hair I would need hundreds of dollars of hair treatments and keratins, which is just not easy during a residency program. I would never go back and would never recommend it to someone unless they enjoy spending countless time and money on their hair. read more

I have never had a haircut actually meet all of my expectations before. She was really fun to talk to, and she gave great advice on how to take care of my specific hair texture. I had the best experience at Embossd Hair Studio! I moved from Portland, OR to Florida several months ago and it felt like it was taking forever to find the right salon to trust with my curly hair. I found them through instagram and connected with the manager of the studio, Diana who took the time to ask the right questions, listen to what I was looking for and connect me with the right stylist. I grabbed some coffee from the cute shop next door - a must - and then went for my appointment. I was greeted right away, and while I waited for my appointment I sat and chatted with another stylist Noemi, who was really friendly and easy to talk to. In fact, while Teka was finishing up on the client in her chair, Noemi stepped in to help by getting me set up with a strand test. Not only did I love the team collaboration, I really appreciated the extra effort to check how my hair reacted to color and confirm that I liked what I saw. I initially scheduled for an all over cut and color, but came in with an entirely different idea of going lighter and adding bangs. Teka knew it would take more time, but made it happen for me. Admittedly, I was a little nervous because I had never gone this light before, but Teka's experience, passion and confidence made any nerves dissolve. Her and Noemi even went the extra mile and took me outside so that I could see the difference of the color indoors vs. in the sunlight. That was major and I am in LOVE with my hair!! Neomi did such a great job explaining what she recommended for my hair, as I came in wanting a haircut not knowing which type of cut. I had my hair colored with Noemi. She is fantastic! I wanted to go blonde from being dark brown to black almost my whole life. She had me schedule a test strand first which was awesome. That way she was able to tell if my hair could handle the bleaching process and we could play with colors and tones. So when I came in for my actual color she knew exactly what to do. She is very honest and upfront and gives you realistic expectations. She told me that the keeping or maintaining the integrity of the hair is very important to her. I love that because I spend a lot of money on my hair care so I appreciated that so much. My color came out fantastic! I get compliments everywhere I go. She is also great at cutting hair. There is alot to say about how I had not a good experience with them. Lets just say I spent over a grand for hair extensions and to color my hair and they ordered hair i wanted (curly pix below) and after one wash its been poker straight ever since. And then try to charge me to reinstall them after 8 came out in a month... they washed my hair extensions after installing them same day.. uhmmm you are supposed to wait 48hrs before washing so they have time to Bond to ur hair! It was just an excuse after excuse with this salon. And Melia the girl who did my hair wasnt to talkative or friendly.. Will NOT go back Update: 6/20/19: 9 more extensions fell out... My hairdresser who was blowdrying my hair had 5 extensions just slide out.. the tips are cut to short on the tip of the extensions... this is a nightmare... only had them for 2months!!! Unreal..
