Once again made my way here. Vanessa was my stylist this time. She asked what I wanted done. I said long layers but enough to still use a ponytail. She washed my hair herself as the other person was already with a client . She did only ends of thinning as she said this helps with the thickness . Her hair is like mine thick and long as she complimented the color I just did on my own and how my hair is healthy . The price is quite fair for what the going rate is for long hair that many salons leave open ended when you call and do not give an exact price but this one does . read more

I've been going to this salon over a year. I see all the beautiful hair that leaves there. Madeline, Danielle and of course my very special Jen. My hair was taken from a hot mess to exactly what I wanted. Jen has been consistent over this year and my hair always looks fabulous!! She listens to my crazy ideas and my endless pictures ..always taking the time to do what I want. She actually understands what I want and her mind whips up a formula and there you are!! Her color is beyond perfect and her cuts are precision. ... if only I could blow dry and flat iron my hair the way she does!! All in all I would recommend this salon in a heartbeat and I have!! After losing my hairdresser to a move I was on a hunt to find someone new. I found this place on Yelp and saw good reviews and it was close to home. My first experience as a walk in wasn't bad. The place was clean, friendly staff but the cut wasn't exactly what I wanted. The hairdresser was so sweet though so I decided to give it another chance. I scored big time with Jenn who turned out to be the owner. She did a great job and gave me exactly what I wanted! The first hairdresser charged me 35.00 which was great but Jenn was more pricey than I wanted to spend. I have very short hair so 45.00 plus tip seemed high but it's hard to find a good hair stylist. Danielle was amazing. Upon arriving she was inviting. I was apprehensive as my last few hair cuts did not turn out as I'd hoped ( requiring returning to the salon to still a terrible hair cut) I was so thank full to find Caffiero's. While giving me the perfect hair cut, Danielle informed me of tricks to handle potential frizz and other beauty secrets. She was patient and listened to my concerns and created the exact look I wanted. As well as kind and funny. ...people have been telling me how young I look after her improvement! I went here on good reviews and was close by, but wow was it disappointing. I don't know the stylist name I just no it was an older male and I showed him the style I wanted when I got there in the chair and he just looked at without giving me much acknowledgement. My hair was very long when I came in and knew I wanted a trim which he did correct and the only good thing out of this experience. He keep mentioning party hairstyles and prom hairstyles to give me which I NEVER mentioned when I came in that I was doing either. I have a hard time speaking up and try to trust someone, but he charged me 55 dollars for a trim and curling my hair with a blow dryer and brush that once again I NEVER mentioned. Kept trying to tell him no in a less mean way possible, but he went and did it anyway. Left with my part not in the right spot, didn't have the style I wanted and had to go home and spend 15 minutes straightening my hair because he had me looking like I was going to prom. Never again, very disappointed. I don't know why stylist can't just do what you ask them to do. Wouldn't have mind paying the price for what I asked for in the beginning! Only giving two stars because the guys in the other side in the barber shop part did a fantastic job with my fiancées hair. read more

I knew the owner for 13 years. In 13 years I only questioned her 3 times about her services. The last time was a horrendous experience. I called to book an appointment with the front desk and was told I would be "juggled". I simply preferred not to be juggled if possible because that would mean another 4 hours for my service. So many times I sat while she worked on other clients even though I was ready. I never complained in 13 years. This last time trying to book, I then received a lengthy, nasty text from the owner stating the following: APPARENTLY I DON'T KNOW THE MEANING OF JUGGLE. I certainly would never expect someone to miss out on potential business while waiting for someone's hair to process. So from a front desk employee to the owner and after 13 years of what I thought was a good relationship as well as giving this person my hard earned money, I received the following after canceling my final appointment. Jennifer Caffiero: You asked her to tell me not to juggle anyone. I've always been professional and done the best I can and frankly you make me nuts the whole appt so good luck finding someone to put up with all that shit. And for that cost too? Please I get 200 for that much of my time and expertise. Good riddance! There were more texts from this extremely unprofessional hair stylist, but it's not worth my time. Don't bother giving your hard earned money to such a nasty person who will appear to be your good friend until you question her. The main point is I have been in customer service my entire life and I have never been so unprofessional to a client especially a long term one as this person. I was at a red light and there was a lady next to me with an amazing haircut. I knew I only had a few seconds to ask her where she cuts her hair. She said it was at Caffiero's Hair Design and her stylist was Madeljne. I ended up giving it a try and and I'm so glad I did. She dis an amazing job. So glad I found this place!!!! read more

I came in for a color correction to blend my blonde hair into a balayage, so I needed some darker pieces added in to my roots. My hair is now very dark all over, and not blonde anymore. I also requested a very very small trim with very subtle layers only at the bottom of my hair. My hair is waist length, and I said MANY times that it is ok to cut off some damage but to PLEASE only layer the bottom. The stylist immediately cut face framing layers, even while I told her I wanted her to stop. She argued with me that she "HAD" to do it, because the hair in front was damaged and it wouldn't look good if she didn't cut it. Yes, I had some damage, but that hair was "short" because stylists keep adding in layers when I don't want them, and I have been trying for years and years to grow them out. And I'm the one that gets to decide what looks good or not... she bullied me into a hairstyle I did not want! This was my first trim in 2 years because I have been so afraid to trust anyone to cut my hair even for a trim. I am once again disappointed and I cried for an hour when I got home. I have very long hair so when I lighten my hair, I have to do so sporadically. I now have dark hair again, which means it will probably be a year before I can try to go lighter again, because of the damage it causes to my long hair. And I have been waiting for years for these layers to grow out, and now I have layers in the front again. I'm so sad!!!!! I came here on a recommendation but I wish I had never made the appointment. I am so sad about my hair. I wish I could find a stylist that would just do cut my hair the way that I ask. I was going to have her cut my bangs as well (they are very grown out) but she showed such apprehension at my request and said that usually only people with short hair would cut their bangs the way I requested. By this time I was too scared to ask her to do anything else. I know how I want my hair and I just wish I could find a stylist that would listen and not try to argue and push me to do something different. :( read more

Jennifer is simply AMAZING!!! She came recommended to me and is the best of the best. She is the most talented hair stylist that I have ever had do my hair. She takes her time and she actually will listen to you!  I'm extremely picky and I don't trust just anyone with my hair.  I have my cosmotology license,  I just do not practice. LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!! They do the best cut and color in the area BY FAR! Great prices, incredibly nice staff, and an overall great vibe in the place. They are always very up-to-date with the newest products and hair trends, yet very accommodating to whatever you want. Alexis is awesome and so is Billie!! I was nervous about trusting a new hairstylist to match the highlights in my long hair, as well as maintaining the cut of my long layers. Alexis exceeded my best expectations--my hair looks beautiful. Alexis is very creative and technically skilled and great with people. It's clear that she cares how her clients look and listens and understands what clients want. She came to the salon early to fit in with my schedule, even though I am a new client. The highlights are beautiful and natural looking--she took a lot of care; even supervised the shampoo process, telling the shampoo lady what to use, where to put it etc. Alexis is an artist and a bit of a scientist, too! Billie was working next to Alexis and I got to see the wonders she worked on other clients. It looked like the people who left her chair were different people than the ones who walked in--they looked terrific. I can't say enough good things about Madeline - she's a magician with color and scissors, and I swear she may have psychic mind-reading powers as well. The first time I came to see her for highlights and lowlights, I was pretty lazy and didn't give her much detail about what I wanted or show any pictures but - she gave me EXACTLY what I had pictured in my head. I came to see her next for an angled bob and I did show her pictures of that and she recreated it exactly. On top of being talented she's also a super nice person, who is happy to make other people happy. Really a breath of fresh air. Everyone else at the salon seems really nice too. I have been seeing Jen for literally 15 years. Before she was even at this salon! I live in Washington, D.C. now but will wait to get my cut and color with her once I come home to visit because I have not found a salon and stylist that knows color like her. Not only is Jen amazing but she selects the best women and men stylist in her salon. They are all good! You can't go wrong. In the last 15 Years I have been getting my hair done by Jen Caffiero; even going as far as to fly in from California when I wasn't living in Florida. Currently, I drive from Palm Beach Gardens to Deerfield to get my hair done at Caffiero's, because they are the best of the best. While I am a huge fan of Jen's, I have also had my hair done by Danielle and Jenna and would go to them in a heartbeat if Jen wasn't available, or I had a hair emergency. I saw Jen this past weekend for a Cut, Color & blow. Not only did we discuss in length about how I wanted my highlights this time & she was so Patient & understanding with all my crazy requests. I have now been a client of Jen's for about 17years. I have followed her to all shops she has ever worked in because I couldn't find anyone even close to the talent she has. Before I saw her when I moved here 20 years ago I would have to fly back to NY to get a cut until I FINALLY FOUND JEN. Over the years with Jen I have been juggled with other clients even this past weekend I was juggled with someone else & I was still out at my usual 2-2:30 time which is what it takes to make my hair as amazing as it is. I always try to make my appointments when I leave. But if I couldn't she is always so helpful to get me in asap within days. I refer all of my friends to her & her salon because it is not only a very friendly & fun place to go. But the staff makes you feel so comfortable like you are family.
