Made a consultation appointment with Taylor a week ago. I received a call 8 mins before my appointment letting me know that Taylor was running 10 mins behind, to come at 12:10. I was already in the parking lot in my car and told reception this. I walked into the salon at 12:10 and was told that Taylor's 12:15pm showed up early so Taylor took her and that I needed to wait another 10mins. Why Taylor values her time more than others is mind boggling and a potential new client! Will not be going back to this poor timely managed and lack of respect of a stylist. Responding to Taylor: squeezed me in? This was not conveyed to me at the time of the booking a week prior. And I was waiting outside in parking lot, came in and was told that you went ahead and took another client after you had called me telling me to come in 10'mins later? Not sure what your receptionist told you but no profanity was used. Maybe she confused me with another disgruntled customer. Please don't judge my character without having met me. As the "owner" and your "client" you could had taken 30seconds of your time stepped away from the client you chose to take after me to come tell me face to face of the misunderstanding- I guess this speaks volumes of you as business owner- very unprofessional and, again, poor time management. I'm staring in the mirror and realizing I need help! I've moved here a year ago and still going back to my old place 40 miles away and I need to find a good stylist. It's 9 o'clock on a Saturday morning and I have no appointment and no idea where to go I see this place on yelp with good reviews and I just walk in the door and let fate happen. I got an appointment at 10 o'clock with Lauren and just put my total trust in her and I am not disappointed at all in fact I am thrilled. I got my color my highlights cut and a blow and I feel like a new woman. She is sweet and she is talented. I found my person in Delray. So happy. I always used wella for lights & Goldwell for coloring roots. She uses also a German base color by Schwarzkopf !!!! Lisa is amazing with a pair of scissors and a blow dryer! You will leave feeling like a new woman. I went in for a trim and some long layers, and my hair looks so much better...truly incredible! She does great work, and even with very little direction about what you want, she has a great eye for what looks good. I can tell my blowout from yesterday will last for a few days. I came in with super long, virgin, unkempt hair. Katherine worked wonders and gave me a super manageable cut. (I have a toddler and the long hair was begging everywhere tangled) she was so knowledgeable when I asked "what was in, in the hair world!?" And also really funny and easy to chat with. I love my cut! It's so nice when your hair feels super healthy and the cut rocks. Taylor did an amazing job coloring my hair. Taylor is like your best friend from elementary school, she is the kindest!! I literally told them to do whatever on my hair, that I needed a change and they had my trust. I left super happy and confident. I even started tearing up in the salon with how beautiful my hair looked--still looks!! I have been looking for someone to dye my hair rose gold and this was the perfect place to try that right before my wedding! Visiting my family in Florida just got ten times better. The positive reviews of salon trace caught my eye, so I booked with Taylor (who thankfully got me in before my flight the following day)! Will she work for you? Well, consider this. My thick, lengthy, hard-to-lighten-to-cool-blondes-hair was Man handled by Taylor; although she made it seem really effortless. Many stylists have told me that this result could take 2-3 salon visits. Nope. Wrong! Just need to find the right person; and I highly recommend you give her a try! Also Catherine did a beautiful job on my blowout! She gave me flowy, bouncy, beautiful hair. Both girls were really personable and I enjoyed my visit. If I had to give a con? I had my color corrected by Lisa Trace last week and she did the best job I could have expected. My naturally dark hair tends to pull orange, but whatever Lisa formulated with her wonderful Schwarzkopf color did the trick. My hair came out a nice cool dark blonde, exactly what I wanted! To top it off the Keratin Express treatment she did was the best I have had, my hair went from a frizzy multicolored mess to a smoother manageable texture. It is quite rare that I would ever write a salon review due to the fact, I hardly ever get my hair styled. Under normal circumstances every 3 years or so I would donate 14" + to Locks For Love. We fell in love with Salon Trace from the moment my wife and I walked in. This quaint and beautifully designed salon made us feel as though we deserve to be there and they treated us like royalty. We were greeted by Taylor and could feel the synergy within her salon. These gals are real ! No pompous attitudes reside here, everyone works in unison. We immediately just felt warm and welcomed. Everyone made us feel right at home. I was most impressed with their due care and true concerns to make me look my best. I'm not the easiest customer to appease, especially when it comes to my hair. I'm an old school leaping long haired gnome who was still stuck in the 70's. This was another reason why I used to avoid getting my hair cut & styled. Not anymore ! I finally had my hair streaked & highlighted as I always wanted and my hairstyle has been complimented many times over. All thanks to the talented coloring from Taylor and the spectacular hair styling from Amanda ! My wife fell in love with Salon Trace too as she never looked so radiant. Taylor's coloring and Amanda's hair sculpting & styling is the best we both had ever experienced. I must admit, we both are totally amazed by their works of art. We both even had our eyebrows sculpted and designed by Kelsey whom gently removed all those unwanted ( Groucho Marx ) eyebrow hairs. Wow, they work magic ! Both of us have been receiving compliments galore since our visit to this place. We both are very happy and even returned the next week for facials. Salon Trace compliments their services with their in house European Spa Facial Specialist, Josephine. I've had facials before but, never experienced anything like a European facial. As soon as I entered the room did I know, I was in for a real treat. The aromas and beautifully tranquil room settings is most unique and relaxing. I was gently pampered with steam and fragrances that are incredibly relaxing. Josephine most certainly is a master of her trade and my wife and I will return as we both had radiant glowing skin after her treatments. Without fail we both love this place and will return in the very near future ~ Yep,....Salon Trace is that wonderful ! Yep, everyone made us look great,...not to mention,..... appear years younger ! After 10 years of getting blonde highlights, I experienced a first at Salon Trace today with Taylor. I brought in a picture of a long blonde balayage style and showed it to her. She did it and styled it. It was beautiful but a little dark in the front. I was perfectly happy with it (and I'm hella picky), but she was like, "wait, I want to do something." So after styling it and telling her how much I loved it, on her own initiative, she wanted to make it even better by adding a few more blonde pieces by my face. It really did make it perfect. No one does blonde like Taylor and I was never fully satisfied with any other colorists. I moved to Delray after over 25 years with the same hairdresser in PA. I tried a Pineapple Grove Salon and one on Linton before going to Salon Trace for a cut. Lolita did a terrific job on my cut in November. Today I returned for color by Taylor and another cut with Lolita. What a wonderful experience, and reasonably priced compared to some options in Delray. The Salon has just the right "vibe" for me---relaxing, comfortable, and friendly. The decor is soothing, they offer you something to drink and read....I even got a hand, arm massage while waiting for my color to set. The result is AMAZING.....I have found my salon for the next 25 years .... LOL !! South Federal Highway, across from Iberia Bank at 9th Street. Convenient and a lovely experience.
