"Patience is a virtue" After trying many different barber shops & salons in the area over several months, & not totally thrilled with the results, I was directed to " Dawn Edwards Salon" on Federal Highway, I called & easily scheduled an appointment. I had my hair cut by Rebecca who was extremely polite & professional she asked me as to what I was looking for in style and the length, she proceeded with the hair cut and asked questions as to the look I was trying to obtain which was a plus instead of just sitting and getting a cut the stylist wanted to do, the Shop was very clean & all the employees were extremely polite & inviting, I certainly will return & highly recommend to those that don't just want to settle , certainly worth the try I am satisfied thx Rebecca read more

If I could give zero stars I would. When I first walked into the salon, the owner was there. She was so friendly. This was going to be a weekly place for me if it worked out. Sadly my first blow dry turned out terrible it didn't even last an hour. This was not with the owner. It was almost twice as much as I normally pay for a blowdry. Last a week. After the blow dry there was breakage. She did not even use a concentrator and I believe that helps and the owner said no it doesn't. Even if it doesn't cause breakage without it, it still directs the hair to lay smoother. She offered to do it again and try her best. But once I got there, she says oh I have to charge you. I didn't know you had that much hair. Seriously you seen me when I first walked. Which was five days into my blowdry and it still look better than what the end result was. The whole time she me telling me I had awful hair she said it was broken throughout. She initially said I needed a haircut when I first walked in. I had a haircut about four weeks prior to this. She was so rude. She was telling me now she would never give me a keratin. Which I was considering to help with the humidity. I'm so glad because look at the first review how she ruined somebody's hair. Doesn't surprise me that she said one price and then charge you almost twice as much . If you can't even do a blow dry correctly. I'm so glad I didn't even do anything else. If you didn't want to redo the service you should've just said so instead of insulting me the whole time once I was in the chair. I have found another place and I have no problem with it lasting a week. It comes out nice and smooth and it actually last even in this Florida weather. The owner is so fake. This was my first time visiting Dawn Edwards Salon as i was referred by a friend. I was greeted at the door with such a warm welcome. The salon itself is beautiful. I had a manicure and pedicure by Laura! Laura is incredible. She took her time and provided the best mani/pedi. She was professional, friendly and so nice to talk with too. I observed Marielle working on a blonde while I was getting my nails done with Laura, who by the way is also an excellent technician. The work that Marielle did on the few people that I saw her take care Of was unbelievable. I made an appointment for a single process and loved it so much I went back a few days later for highlights. A week later a keratin. I also picked up the product that she recommended. I LOVE this salon! If you are looking for a salon that truly cares about their clients this is the place! From the second you walk in to this busy little beauty shop and meet Stephanie at the front desk, to Jannia the aesthetician, to the shampoo girls, they all make everyone feel welcomed and it is clear to see they love what they do. I walked in last winter on a whim after getting the worst highlights I have ever had somewhere else, and I am so glad I did. I am a fellow hair stylist and moved down to Florida at the beginning of the year... I started seeing Kristen at Dawn Edwards back in March. I wear hair extensions and was extremely concerned I would not be able to find someone for my hair needs... Kristen not only does my extensions but also my color, keratin and hair "trims"! Let's just say when I started with Kristen back in March my hair was a rag doll and above my shoulders when I took my extensions out. With her education, knowledge and passion she has rehabbed my hair! It's longer, stronger, has body, life and shine! This is my first review on yelp but I had to write one about Kristen because WOW! Iv had my bad experiences with going to new hairdressers but Kristen is by far the best hair dresser I have ever had. I highly recommend her, from color to cut she does it all! I first came in because I had the most horrible color and cut done by someone else. As soon as I sat in Kristen's chair within just a few minutes of talking she knew exactly how to fix everything. At the end I was contemplating getting a blow dry since I usually leave with my hair wet because I don't like how other people do my hair but I made the best decision. Her blow drys are out of this world! I have never had my hair look so good. I have to thank her a million times I now get compliments everywhere I go. True gem! I followed my fabulous nail tech to this salon when it opened. I was truly impressed by the sophisticated atmosphere and more importantly by the professional way it is run. Firstly, my nail tech is the best I've ever used. She's been doing my nails for probably seven or eight years and I can honestly say I've never had a better manicure. Laura never lets me down. She is reliable, professional, an absolute professional who loves what she does! Dawn Edwards is the owner and the vision that she had as she carefully planned every detail of this shop certainly shows.
