This is a total shout out for Michelle. I moved to Florida this past year and got my hair done with my extensions from great lengths for the first time by somebody new...Michelle. I was happy when I was all done. She did them differently than the last girl a little bit and I wanted to see how they lasted. Well I got them done around mid December. Are used to get them done every 3 months... Here we are rolling into the fifth month and they're still in great shape even though they've grown out a lot they're still hanging in there. Myself my daughter and my daughter in law have been coming to this salon for a few months now. My daughter in law was there this past weekend for a full head of highlights showing a picture of how she wanted the highlights. Instead she was given base color gloss both of of which she did not ask for and a few strands of highlights in the front for a $210. When she contacted the salon she was told to come in and all they did was put on a base color done by either a shampoo girl or a receptionist (not sure). A base color for $210????? The stylist who did her hair told her "I didn't like the way it came out either"!!! Seriously!!! When I first moved from Boston to Florida, THE most important thing for me was to find a stylist for my hair. Before permanently moving here, I was doing all sorts of online research before finding Jeff Attebury. Jeff recently moved from another salon in Boca to Cloud IX in Delray, and of course I followed him. In a word, he is MAGIC! Not only was it important to me to have someone who could color and style my hair, but the weather here is crazy humid in the summer! I never thought I would be able to endure the summers here without looking like bozo the clown. I have super fine hair and I was afraid that if he put a straightening solution on it, my hair would be limp. Not the case at all! He was able to suggest something that works great for my hair, and I was able to go out without being forced to tie my hair back! As for color and cut, he takes special care to hear exactly what you want, and he delivers! I am so happy to have found Jeff. DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON! This is my first yelp review. I have never been so dissatisfied or harassed by a Company in my entire life. I wish there was a zero star option. I went to the salon with hair extensions that were used once. Typically I use them 3 sometimes 4 timeEmily looked at them and said she could do them just fine. She did not wash my hair prior. She left my hair the way same way it was when I walked into the salon. She used their tape at the salon. She specifically said they'll work out fine and never mentioned a word about the hair not being good or that it would not be compatible with the salons tape. She did them in less than 30 minutes. I was so surprised at how quickly it was done and even mentioned that to her. Her response, "yeah, I've been doing them for a while." Once I got home I realized that the tapes were double to triple the size as they are normally. I have been doing this for 4 years to my hair. I couldn't wear my hair up at all. In addition, the tape she used was sticky and uneven. My real hair was sticking to the new extension tape. I couldn't even brush through my hair! When I called they told me it wasn't done wrong, but come in. I was told by the manager of the store that Emily was willing to redo them. I personally felt that it shouldn't have even been an option. If they're done that incorrectly, they should be fixed. No questions asked. When I finally was able to go in. Emily first asked me to then sign a waiver. I didn't sign it because it was already done to my hair and paid for. Emily removed them and started complaining about the hair being too sticky and it not working. I explained that whatever tape they used made them that way and that it was not an issue originally with her. They then told me they could not fix it. They could take them out and back in, but the result would be the same because of how sticky the tape was at this point. One stylist said the tape may not be compatible. She also said my hair should have been clarified and washed prior to extensions being applied. I spoke with the owner and he had a very intimidating demeanor. He is a large man that knew I wouldn't argue back with him. I was actually too concerned to make a big deal about my hair. Regardless, he refused to give me my money back and was yelling at me in front of the whole salon. A completely different stylist then I had dealt with originally took out my extensions and apologized for everyone's behavior, but she said she isn't the one that has control. I was mistreated and treated improperly and poorly. I felt harassed by the owner, as he appeared angry with a very threatening tone. He didn't even talk to me one in one or give me a call originally. He just came up and yelled in the middle of the salon "look, you can't go into a shop with used tires and expect new." No. I can not. However, I can expect them to be done properly and if they're not, I would go back and have them installed again the right way. At this point my extension were taking out. I didn't want to stay in the salon with yoshi, the owner any longer. I was also nervous my hair may get damaged even more. So I walked out. I felt that I deserved my money back ($250 considering I didn't receive the service and my extensions that had been used only once ($200) we destroyed! So all together I am now out $450! Plus I had given Emily gratuity originally. NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I BEEN TO SUCH A HORRIBLE SALON!!! I WAS MISTREATED,YELLED AT AND NOT GIVEN THE PROPER SERVICE! I filed a complaint with the better business bureau. I didn't deserve how I was treated! DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON IF TOY WANT YOUR HAIR DONE CORRECTLY! The owner of the salon, who responded is not telling the truth. I wouldn't waste my time here if I were wrong. I am urging you to not go to this salon. I wouldn't want anyone treated the way I was or receive such horrible service. I did not receive the service I paid for. As you can see, even the owners response was extremely rude. He's going to say, I've "never heard the word no"? How can he say that to a new client? How is he a professional. I never said I will wash my hair. I asked what their procedure was and was told on the recorded call to come in with washed hair. The hair was used once. They are mire then welcome to call my hair stylist where I originally purchased the hair to obtain a receipt if needed. However, the owner would rather be rude and intimidating so he gets what he wants. He is lying when he says the hair is old. He refuses to get documentation and he never even said that to me when I was there. He made it up after. I am requesting a refund due to the disrespectful, rude, embarrassing and unprofessional service I received. That is more of the issue I have over not getting the service I paid for. This matter is not resolved. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON!! I wouldn't have taken all this time if I were wrong. read more

Lori has been my stylist for quite some time now but had recently moved to Cloud IX along with other staff. It's easy to say that it's just a "simple" mens haircut that I get but Lori consistently, quickly and easily performs this with perfection from the very first time I saw her until now. My first (and only) visit to Cloud IX was 5 weeks ago. I had a single process color and blow dry. The person who blew my hair didn't listen to me although I kept saying I wanted a full not stick straight blowout. But that wasn't the worst part of the blowout. When I was home, I saw that when he rubbed the color off the skin under my eyebrows, he rubbed so hard that he broke the skin so deeply, that it took 3 weeks to heal and a scar remains. The colorist was very nice. When I thought the base was too light (I had brought my formula from home.) the colorist said she would darken the formula the next time. Also, it was the first time my color has been applied with a bottle instead of a brush. Fast forward four weeks to the next color done at a different salon. The colorist there said that the base was not the formula applied to my hair at the other salon. She thought: either the other salon didn't have the formula and substituted what they did have and/or they didn't leave the color on the required amount of time. Not sure how this place received so many great reviews. My experience was extremely disappointing and the scar is very disturbing. read more
