Recently I worked with Mark Marini on renting tables for our 1st party. He was courteous and professional when I met him. I was supposed to return the tables after our 1st party but then we needed the same tables again for our 2nd party within a week. I called him and explained our situation and need. He was able to accommodate our needs and charged us only for 2nd rental without any additional charges. This meant a lot to us. We did not make an extra trip to return after the 1st party and then pick up few days later for the 2nd party. Thanks for your great service, Mark! read more

I've used Stuart Rentals in years past for various events. I most recently hosted a nonprofit gala at Sharon Heights Country Club and rented all of the linens from Stuart Rental. They have a great showroom in Milpitas and an excellent online store. We ordered the ivory table clothes with white napkins and it really elevated the decor of the ballroom. Working with them was effortless and I plan to use them again for my next event! read more

Mark Marini is the reason Stuart Rentals is the best in the Bay Area. Whether you're planning something a year away or if you have an emergency event... the next day, Mark is your guy. Setting up an event is stressful enough already and Stuart rentals is the part that I look forward to. Thank you all again! read more

We have used Stuart Rental for many years. We have suggested them to friends for wedding and smaller events and every year we rent chairs and tables from them for an annual event. Their employees provide top of the line service in all aspects of their business; from the phone order desk to the delivery people. On more than one occassion we needed to either change or add something at the last minute and they accomodated us everytime. We've only used the Milpitas Branch and they have been just great. read more

I recently used Stuart Rentals in Milpitas for a 50th Wedding Anniversary Party. Mark Marini was a pleasure to work with and so helpful and knowledgeable in assisting me in choosing the proper items for my event. He took time to pull rental items from the warehouse for my daughter and I to view and even prepared a place setting with our choice of linens, chargers, flatware and glassware. Being able to view the table set up was extremely helpful as well as to see in scale the actual products. Several times in the weeks leading up to my event, I emailed or phoned Mark to make adjustments in the rental order without a problem or delay. Costs were explained and updated. Delivery and pickup went smoothly. My caterer and I inadvertently forgot to put some rental items on the return truck. That was easily corrected by a phone call to Mark and Stuart without a hassle. I am using Stuart in a couple of months for another event at my home. Again, Mark was more than happy to work with me even though the rentals for this event are much smaller in quantity than the 50th Anniversary. I would recommend Stuart because they have a great selection of rental products as well as staff such as Mark to help you choose the right items for your event. read more

Working with the Stuart Event Rentals was absolutely great. Our contact, Lisa Davidovich, was a pleasure to work with. She is extremely creative, attentive to every detail and super positive. She was super patient with our indecisiveness and back and forth during weeks leading up to the event. She was able to guide us to the most interesting and budget-conscious design, and went above and beyond accommodating our requests. Our event had multiple sub-events in different rooms, which required complex set up/break down and magnitude of decor elements. Everything has been delivered on time, properly set up and quickly broke down and removed at the end. The crew was knowledgeable and followed all instructions perfectly. I highly recommend the Stuart Rentals for your events, and will sure use them in the future. read more

My friend had ordered upright, cross bar poles and bases for her backdrops for a big event and they didn't ship to her in time which got her stressing really bad. She called me for help & I referred her to Stuart Event Rentals. She asked me to pick up the equipments for her and I have to say, Mark Marini, their event consultant at Stuart's was so amazing. Very sweet & willing to help with all our needs.. Mark made our renting experience very stress free & affordable. He really took good care of us & we left that place feeling so blessed and ready to tackle our event. Everything turned out so beautiful thanks to Mark & Stuart's Event Rentals. If you ever need the best experience in renting pls rent from Mark & mention my name, Suka. He'll probably remember me cause I kept saying, God bless you! His number is 4088563232 x 2132 read more

The folks at Stuart rental are super professionals. I had a tears in a friend's tent I had borrowed for a family reunion., and I didnt want to return the tent back to my pal in such a shape. So i called around and landed at Stuart rental. Remember, the tent was not rented from them. Gwen, Tiffany and folks at their maintianence facility checked with their bosses and offered to help me out, and repair the tent in the best possible and timely manner. I even met the repair technicians, and we surveyed the damages and completed the repairs. Everyone was SUPER nice, thorough, and reasonable. They didnt have to help me out but they did. No wonder they have been in business for the past 170 years. 5 starts, Thumbs up, and a BIG thank you to the Stuart team. read more

We were in a situation where we needed furnishings for an event at very late notice. Regina came to the rescue. She looked at our moodboard and came back within the hour with a list of available items that would match it. She also helped with quite a few changes and amends as out numbers increased. The furniture was great quality. On site the head guy and the team were amazing!!! I am from the UK and we use furniture hire all of the time. These guys helped me move venue furniture as well as the hired stuff as i was on my own for this event in San Francisco so having this support was fantastic!! We are running the same event next year as well as another so we will be in contact and will be hiring all of our furniture from you guys next time. Thanks so much Regina Julia Dimmock from Smyle Creative read more

I rented Tables Chairs linens plates, glasses and other items. They are very professional and all items were neat and clean. Very easy to work with. I rented a cabinet warmer and nacho cheese warmer for our event. The chip warmer's light bulb was out so i had to purchase a new one. When we turned the machine on the bottom started to spark and even shocked me slightly. I called Stuart rental and they said they did not have another i could rent. They did not try to offer me another item nor did they care. when we returned it i was expecting a call from them for a refund. I had to call them and ask them what was happening with my refund. A man on the phone said he would have to call the location and examine it. Never received a call or an email regarding my refund or an apology for the faulty equipment. read more

Our experience with Stuart Event Rentals can be summarized with three words - excellent customer service! We recently planned our ~60-person engagement party at home, and we used Stuart Event Rentals to rent tables, chairs, linens, china, serveware, etc. My family and I are not event planners and were doing this for the first time, and we could not have asked for a better guide than Mark Marini at Stuart Rentals to help us with the process! Mark was professional, accommodating, and helpful. He was extremely patient with the large number of opinions he had to deal with (me, my fiancee, and at least 2 of our parents at any given appointment), and helped us find the best possible solution for all of our many needs. He accommodated changes to our order until the last possible minute. Delivery and pickup of the items went smoothly, and everything that we rented was in great condition. We would highly recommend working with Stuart Event Rentals for your event rental needs! read more

I've rented from Stuart before for two big events and had a great experience. Unfortunately, this time around was bad. Dealing with Julia was frustrating and just annoying. The delivery fee was high for us so we decided to have a friend pick up the furniture. We asked Julia to revise by omitting the delivery from the quote. We waited and waited and waited..... to get no response. I got fed up so I signed the stupid quote. I get a call from Julia the next day telling me that they couldn't do the delivery (on the day they quoted). I replied " that's fine, the event isn't until Sunday, Friday is just the day you quoted". She quickly responded with a defensive tone that she didn't receive the signed quote until yesterday which is late notice. Julia, Julia, Julia...you didn't respond to our emails. You just decided to ignore them, probably to make more money on the delivery fee. How dare you have the audacity to put the blame on us? Instead of trying to come up with a solution, she just sat there on the phone while I had to do her job and tell her - again - that the event was on Sunday and the delivery could be on Saturday. Plus the date was ON the order form that she supposedly reviewed. If there's a WILL there's a WAY. If I was a competent worker, I would have had a solution PRIOR to calling a customer....I guess that's if I cared. It's 2013 people. care a little because if you don't, customers will go somewhere else. It's just a click of a button on the internet nowadays to find another eager, willing company...that'll do it with a smile. To me, Stuart Rentals employees are just fed up with dealing with customers and their parties. What a shame -- we just hosted two 150 person parties and went with another rental company that was so easy to work with and for the same price. read more

Rented Samsonite white party chairs for an indoor event in our home. The service was great with the phone order and picking up the chairs. However, I noticed all the chair ends were dirty with mud and grass once I got home. I cleaned them before bringing them into house on the clean carpets. When I tried to return the chairs on Monday morning, the office staff was helpful by saying all the returns would be handled at the loading dock. I drove to the loading dock looking for someone to unload the chairs and no one was there. I yelled inside for assistance. I unloaded the chairs myself and an employee walked by me 3 times. I asked if I was a ghost because he never acknowledged me. I requested assistance and no one helped me. I left the chairs on the ramp and went back to the office to share my experience. The office staff was sorry. This incident occurred at 10:00 am on a Monday. No other groups were unloading rental equipment. Summary: Great ordering service over the phone and picking up the rental chairs. However, Poor quality once I got home and realized the chairs were not cleaned from an outside event. Maybe identify if chairs are to be used inside or outside so a customer can pick the appropriate chair. The return service at the loading dock was awful. Again, I understand if a big truck came in and all staff were busy, but I was the only vehicle there. read more

Stuart Rental provided a long canopy for my wedding reception. They provided excellent customer service and their price, including delivery and setup, was very, very reasonable. I would have liked and preferred my caterer use them for all my rentals but the caterer unfortunately already had a relationship with that other rental company (whose name I won't repeat). The canopy turned out very nice and I was very happy with Stuart. I highly recommend them. One tip, and I didn't totally think this one through, if you're planning to have a single canopy during the day time, consider the angle of the sun. Nuff said. read more

I rented few chairs and tables. Quality of chairs were really bad. One of my guest almost broke her back because of bad chair. I am uploading the image here. Its really sad that they don't periodically check the quality. When i told them, the answer i got was, we do check we will refund for the broken chairs. They are not even taking this seriously. read more

Stuart Event Rentals - Party Equipment Rentals Near Me - Milpitas, California

I asked a business colleague who does events, for the name of the most reliable rental company for tents. She referred me to Stuart Rentals. I talked to Cindy Foster at the Castro Valley office less than two weeks before the event. She sent an installer to evaluate my needs and promptly gave me a quote after the onsite meeting. I changed the order several times before the install date and she promptly adjusted and re-quoted the order each time without complaint. On the appointed date, they set up an 1,800 sq ft tent in approximately 4 hrs. The tent specs and configuration were correct. The invoice was correct. The installer, Roger Cruz, was terrific. He explained everything thoroughly, was very friendly, and very professional. I will ask for him again if I rent from Stuart in the future. Well done. read more

I highly recommend Stuart Event Rentals! Kerri was my contact and she was very communicative and available to answer questions. I had to make a number of tweaks to our order, and I also had to clarify different logistical issues such as access, delivery and pick-up times, etc., as the event was off-site and not near my residence. So I had to call back a number of times to make sure we were on the same page. Kerri handled everything great. I'd read about another company that was less available by phone to answer unexpected questions that might crop up, and I didn't want to face that problem. This was an important fundraiser and I wanted everything to go smoothly. Kerri did a great job of communicating both with me and her delivery staff. The equipment rentals arrived on time, everything was in order, and the pickup went smoothly, too. I was very relieved to be able to reach Kerri or someone else on the phone whenever I had a question or clarification about the delivery or pick up. I'd definitely use Stuart Event Rentals again in the future! read more

We got our wedding supplies from Stuart Rentals. We were probably in there 5+ times trying to decide which items we wanted and the staff there were very patient with us. The staff working there were always very helpful with providing suggestions when we weren't sure what colors/fabrics/etc. we wanted to use. We also changed our order countless times and they were always very prompt in updating our invoice. All in all, we were very happy with the items we rented from Stuart Rentals. The delivery was on time (though they do charge an extra $70 for timed delivery) and fast. The delivery people were also very friendly. read more

We have a large family, so whenever we have events at the house or host showers or parties for others we end up having to rent tables and chairs. I have used Stuart several times over the last few years and they have always been helpful, and it's never been a problem placing an order, even when I have had to do it the same day I need them. I haven't used them for anything other then the basics, but their showroom is awesome and if I needed to rent more I wouldn't hesitate to use them. My one star off is only because they don't deliver unless the order is more then $150, which I never have. It would make things more convenient and I could order tables that I wouldn't otherwise be able to since I don't have a vehicle to fit them in. All in all they are good and I would recommend to a friend... in fact I already have. read more

It was very difficult working with this company. I had to request things 4-5 times before ever getting an answer. They don't understand city tent regulations and then charged me for the city fees despite being denied a permit. We were also overcharged for equipment used. We couldn't be happier with the service and quality of Stuart Rental Company. Our school (St. Matthew Catholic) put on an auction and Andrew was our savior.
