Okay I don't usually write reviews for things but I really think people need to be informed about how this business takes advantage of its customers. I went to this STS in July because my brakes were making noise. I am told that I need new brake pads so the mechanics put them in for me. After my brake pads were replaced my car still made the noise and in August I brought it back into STS complaining about how my car is still making noise. After my car is looked at, I am told I need a new left axle so I get that fixed. At this point I have given STS more than $500. Even though new brake pads were installed and I get the axle fixed my car STILL continues to make the same noise. Obviously, I go to another mechanic and he checks my 'new' brake pads and they are almost completely worn after TWO months. This mechanic told me that brake pads looked like they hadn't been changed in two years. I am not a person who drives a lot and there was no reason the brake pads should've been that worn. So anyway, go to STS if you want to waste your money and be taken advantage of! read more

I've had trouble with my previous mechanic and decided to try STS in Rockaway. The manager Jesse and his assistant manager Ricky gave me the most amazing customer service I've ever experienced even going as far as to pick up my car for the repair and dropping it off. They diagnosed a major issue with my car and fixed it perfectly so it's safe for my son to be in again. I appreciate the level of care and commitment from Jesse and his guys! I will only bring my vehicle here to be fixed from now on. It's hard to find good decent mechanics that you can trust and these guys are just that. I went for a nail in my tire! I called 2 places before I remembered STS was still there, neither place was able to plug my tire on my lunch! I called STS and they told me to come in on my lunch, it told me to call first so they knew I was coming so they could get me in and out on my lunch! I got there, they took my Jeep right in! The man at the counter and one of the mechanics ( I honmust have been on break/lunch) sat and chatted with me while I waited! They had my Jeep in and out in 15 minutes!!! They were very friendly and professional! I would recommend and go back!! read more

I have no luck with tires! Rushing around for Christmas, my Smart Car indicated low tire pressure............another **** nail!!! My 3rd nail with 3 different cars in 3 years!!! I walked-in. They made me an appointment the next morning, a Sunday!!! They were so accommodating compared to other tires shop in the surrounding town. When asked how much they said 'fixed for free'!!! My wife had picked up a nail in her tire near closing on a Saturday evening. When I came to STS shop at 416 Rote 46, Dover, NJ the manager was kind enough to fill my tire for the evening & told me to return 1st thing Sunday morning. The service on Sunday morning was excellent, and I only had to wait but a few short minutes for the tire to be repaired. Over the years, I have bought tires & had many services performed at this shop, & I will continue to go to this shop in the future. read more

I used this place for years before STS was acquired by Mavis. The manager was such a great guy that we became pretty good friends; I'm VERY demanding about tires, and he'd do almost anything to accommodate. I went for service this week and just learned about the acquisition. The new manager is an equally great guy and, moreover, with combined warehouses they stock many additional tire brands, and their prices are even more competitive than before. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I purchased 4 tires nearly a year ago from STS in Dover... last week I went to Philly and when I pulled in to the parking garage I bumped the curb and blew a tire. I called STS in Dover remembering I had purchased the tire insurance when I bought my tires. tom helped me he was more then happy to go the extra mile for me had rear tires that were unsafe limeted money so brought two used tires that he should have told to walk but instead he made sure that they were safe balanced rims cleaned also the two guys doing the tires were hard workers and never once complaned ill do all my work there from now on. read more

I came in with no appointment and needed both bulbs for my headlights fixed. Not only did it get finished in 30 minutes they even showed me how easy it was to do on my own next time. They have no problem doing it for me again they said but wanted to show me how easy it is so I could save some money. Great service. Great people. read more
