Where'd these muscles come from? Strong Camp Long Beach, of course. Thanks to Clarisa, Zaira, and this program, I have been able to develop both my upper and lower body at a steady and consistent pace. Her Mon-Thurs sessions are great to target specific areas, but my favorite days are full-body Saturdays. Girls from all walks of life, from beginning lifters to advanced, are all able to learn something from coming to these classes. And for $25/session? What a steal! All of the girls that attend have been fantastic so far. It is non-stop support from the moment you walk into the gym to the moment you stumble out with jelly legs. Clarisa doubles as a therapist, and Zaira doubles as a cheerleader. All in all, these are awesome, well-rounded sessions that are not only good for your physical health but for your soul as well. These sessions take place in Clarisa's home gym, which makes it that much more comfortable. What's better than being able to go to a friends house to lift heavy things? Absolutely nothing. And with the knowledge I've gained from these classes (learning how to use equipment, proper form, etc.), I'm now able to go to a standard corporate gym and be *comfortable* working out on my own time and at my own pace, even surrounded by a bunch of strangers. I'm so happy to have attended Strong Camp LB's sessions so far, and I'm so excited for my muscles to continue developing and strengthening with Clarisa's guidance. 10/10 would recommend to your mother, her daughter, your cousin's wife, and everyone else in the family. I can't rave enough about Clarisa and the impact she's made on my fitness journey. I first reached out to Clarisa in 2020 as a result of my pandemic-weight gain, seeking not only a fitness trainer but nutrition coaching - all with the new added challenge of training remotely as I am in the Bay Area. What I got out of working with Clarisa was so much more than just weight loss or learning a few new workouts. First off - Clarisa is more than just a trainer who tells you what to do for an hour and hopes for the best. She is compassionate, empathetic, and truly cares about your well-being in every aspect. She was always there to root me on, uplift and motivated me to do my best when I doubted myself (and sometimes whining). She has an immense knowledge on nutrition, she worked with me on my eating habits, provided me with so much insight on what works for me & dispelled the myths of trends and fads - which helped with my "mental block". This and so many other positive traits is what sets her apart from your typical big box gym trainer who checks boxes off a clipboard and moves on to the next appt. Now for the training: absolutely amazing and EFFECTIVE! I've trained in the past but Clarisa really took it to another new level with her expertise. Being over 40 with excess weight and back pain issues, she customized my program to target those core issues while also building muscle all around resulting in fat loss & a reducing my back pain to pretty much nil. She focuses on proper form, strength building, hitting different muscle groups and always keeps it fun with new workouts each session. Work hard play hard! Clarissa knows how to get you to sweat and love it at the same time. Really gets that deep down empowering feeling in every muscle. She will surprise you with muscle you didn't. Even know you have. The soreness is like a wake up call for unknown muscles. It's a weird high. You feel accomplished and empowered after every work out but you will hate the way you wobble the next day and then for some reason you will come back the week after for it again. Clarisa's strong camp is just what I need in my life! I was on a 2 year hiatus from lifting due to an injury and then shoulder surgery, and I was feeling timid and worried about going back to a commercial gym and hurting myself again. I learned about Clarisa's camp through my previous trainer and knew I had to try it out. I love that Clarisa made me feel welcome and comfortable from the moment I reached out to her. She knew I was worried about injuring myself again and has always checked in on how my shoulder feels during our sessions. I really enjoy the casual atmosphere we get to work out in. Everyone I've met is so friendly and fun. Zaira keeps the laughs coming, and there's always silly banter going on while we work on our gains. What more can you ask for?! Before you know it, the workout is done. I'm in a better mood than when I started and feeling great! I also really appreciate Clarisa's knowledge and insight on nutrition. It's been a few weeks since my first group class at Strong Camp and I am officially addicted! I love the whole energy there and it being an all ladies class is the best! Clarisa makes sure my form is correct so I feel confident in lifting heavier and pushing myself. I usually work out alone, so it's such a fun change of pace to have women around me encouraging me (and laughing and dancing and having a good time!) There are only two people in fitness that I recommend and Clarisa is one of them. She is my godmother of weightlifting.
