She's great at breaking down each exercise, what muscle group it targets, and can make modifications for you whenever needed. A few months ago I was in a bad place-I WFH and was going from being at my desk all day mentally drained to laying down with no energy and getting bad sleep day after day. I've always been a bit overweight but I had put on an extra 20 lbs, and at my heaviest ever I just felt uncomfortable in my skin. I would eat takeout for most meals and would randomly feel limb numbness or feel winded doing simple tasks. That's when I found V and everything changed. TBH the gym was always so intimidating to me but Vanessa will show you how to use the equipment, ensure you have proper form & adjust weight as you get stronger. I was scared of so much change at once but I've learned just how much nutrition matters alongside the exercise. It's worth it! As someone who struggles with making the best food choices and staying committed to an exercise routine, the various time options for classes, the beautiful outdoor environment in the park and the knowledgeable trainers have made it possible for me to know remain committed and attend classes for nearly three years now. When you aren't in class, you are missed. When you are not eating your veggies, they'll offer a recipe. When you aren't pushing yourself, they'll give you 5 more. The gold lining of Recreation Fitness is that they know you, your body and your goals. They want you to succeed and modify their training to help you achieve what your aiming towards. There's never a time at the end of class, when I don't look up into the blue sky, with trees blooming o'er head and feel grateful that I've found this niche of like-minded people to work out with and to support one other. I was sitting at my desk one morning, pants unbuckled and thought yeeeaaa I need to figure this out lol. She let me bring my best friend and we've been seeing her 2-3 times a week for the last 3 months.
