This is literally the only supplement store/location I'll go to and have been coming for a couple years now. The staff (I assume I've only dealt with Roy) is super knowledgeable and doesn't try to sell you stuff you don't need. The best part is if there's a muscle building supplement you want but don't see it they'll do their best to get it for you. If you factor in shipping costs the prices are just as good as online and they have the best deals on energy drinks. It's also the only place nearby to get good protein desserts (the brownies and donuts don't taste like health food I swear). Make sure to do the body comp machine while you're there! read more

This is a small shop but if you need some supplements on the spot and want to speak to a knowledgeable staff, then this is a good bet. I went in for some pill/powder holders and was directed to a small assortment. Was actually close to what I was looking for and I bought one for $10, which is a reasonable price. Unfortunately they only had pink but not the end of the world for me. The best part by far, in my opinion of this shop is their variety and pricing for BANG energy drinks! Not only are the sold for 3 for $5 consistently, they also carry a wide variety of flavors that I no longer or have never seen before. Champagne is an original flavor they carry, as well as the natural flavor line. For these products alone I will be back! I only wish I'd been turned onto them earlier! Throughout my life my weight has yo-yo'd (but I've always been on the thicker side) and I also had some health problems over the last two years. Last year, I had surgery and was feeling THE WORST I'd ever felt, like I was never going to have energy or be happy again...it was awful! I'd been trying to get back to the gym and get back in shape on my own, but I knew I needed some kind of help. I go to the 24 Hour Fitness right across the street, and I often watch the trainers, and it seemed like they give everyone the same routine...and I also knew that food (and my mindset around it) was the last hurdle I had to jump...I'd been seeing the Max Muscle magazines at Rock Star tan (also across the street) and thought I'd check out Max Muscle. Luckily, Irma was working (as it seems she always is :), and I was blessed that she wasn't busy at the moment and we had a really good sit down. She listened to my medical history and what I enjoyed doing to take care of myself. She took my measurements and weighed me (because I asked her to), and helped me figure out a basic menu to get started--all FOR FREE!. At the gym, if you ask for that kind of help, the trainers only talk to you because they want to pressure you into training with them. Irma never pressures me to buy anything, and steered me away from things I thought I needed and didn't (educating me on how things interact and how the body works); she offered samples of protein shakes, vitamins and omega oils before I bought anything. Irma always has great suggestions to ways to mix up my routine, or things to add to my menu, is supportive and genuinely takes an interest in my success. Stopped by Max Muscle Los Alamitos for a Inbody scan with a buddy of mine. Other locations in the area charge around $50-$100 for this kind of scan, and these guys offer it at no cost! Roy Jr was the only one working, and busy putting the store together(they just moved to a new location), but promptly stopped what he was doing to help us out. He gave us the scan, went over our Inbody results with us, and offered some advice. No sales pitch on any supplements we had to buy or services we should sign up for. Just friendly, helpful, genuine service. I ended up getting some pre-workout, as I knew I wanted some before I went in, and Roy Jr asked me a handful of questions to make sure I got one that fitted my goals. I've been working out and eating "healthy" for over 5 years now! I reached a plateau where I saw that my body wasn't getting more cut no matter what type of exercise regime I planned.
