Best supplement place I've ever been Tom is a GENUINE dude that CARES. I've been to a lot of nutrition places and there's a lot of guys full of crap. This is a LEGIT store with GREAT PRICES right across from a nice 24 hr fitness that is VERY CONVENIENT for me. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Max Muscle Nutrition - Health Markets Near Me - Tustin, California

I came in looking for protein mix, a box of protein bars, and a box of protein drinks. They had the mix, but the bars and drinks were only sold individually. The employee was very helpful and even gave me a sample of a protein mix. Even though they didn't have what I was looking for it's still a nice place to shop. read more

I am 2 months into my weight lifting journey. Went in for advice and ray gave me some good advice. He put me on prana pro protein which tastes amazing. Also put me on a organic multivitamin and some bcaas. I work around the corner so it is also very convenient. I have been to many nutrition shops and this felt more personal. I should be visiting soon for some more supps. Thanks ray read more

I have been going to these guys for the last 15 years and you don't stay in this business for that long without being a trusted source in health and nutrition. Ray is extremely knowledgeable and more interested in the transformation than he is the transaction. I know it sounds cheesy but that's the best way to describe it. If you want the best products available and for the most current health and nutrition knowledge this is the place to go. read more

I wanted to like this place, but it's hard place for me to like. Prices are not posted on the shelves or on the products. You won't know the price of anything unless (a) you have bought it before, (b) you ask, or (c) you find out how much it is when it's time to pay. read more

I just came from visiting this place and I typically don't write too many reviews, HOWEVER, when I saw all the negative comments below I really felt compelled to write a response.... This place is AWESOME. Period. People who seem to complain about the prices are probably too cheap to want to pay for quality supplements. I'm by no means a rich person (I'm a student lol) but I had no problem forking over a couple hundred bucks to get a massive amount of great, quality, supplements. I know for a fact that if I were to have gone to GNC or nutrizone I would have spent a great deal more money for the the same great supplements or would have got their products (which are trash). The guys who work there really know what they are doing/saying and they are really willing to spend the time to help you reach your goals. I walked in about 30 minutes before they were closing their shop and the owner had no problem sitting with me for well over an hour explaining many of his products to me. I already had some background on some of the products that he was telling me about so when he spoke I knew that what he was saying carried a lot of truth behind it and that he wasn't trying to just sell me a bunch of products. I felt no pressure to buy anything and whenever I asked how much something was I got a straight forward, pressure free response. Bottom line is that this place is awesome and the people who wrote negative comments below are probably cheap bums who don't care to give their bodies quality. If you want experienced staff who are patient and extremely willing to help you then shop here. I drove about 45 mins (from bellflower) to get to maxmuscle in tustin and I will continue to do so whenever I need any protein, pre-workout, bcaa's, etc... This place is perfect. On top of everything, I got a shirt, samples, cups and literature for free. Plus, if I would have bought my supplements from GNC I would have probably paid over $300 bucks. ...enough said. read more

I wanted to say a few words about this local nutrition store in the city of Tustin. I have shopped on and off there for over 15 years and they have an impressive inventory that most stores do not have. I have noticed over the last few years they are priced below the internet which is awesome because we all want to save money. They answer all my questions and always have samples before I buy a certain flavor. My all time favorite is the Prana protein cookies and cream! Thanks Max Muscle read more

I've worked in tustin for some time now, and have been working out for some time as well. Going from military I was always use to seeing GNC but some time ago was introduced to the Max Muscle out there in tustin, honestly has been a great experience for me and I've felt compelled to share how I've felt. The staff are super knowledgeable and have extensive expereice in the industry, they aren't shy to tell me the truths on products and their effectiveness. A great supplement store, with the best staff I've encountered as far as a supplement store. read more

I am not a body builder. I am not a competitive athlete. I'm just a father of two trying to stay healthy. This was my first time visiting Max Muscle and I had one of the most genuine and informative conversations with their employee (I'm horrible with names, sorry bud). The information received was technical, yet clearly understandable. And at the end of my visit, I had the right products to help achieve my desired results. Thank you for the advice, you have yourself a new loyal customer. read more

Every time I have visited This location they have had A vary knowledgeable person Working. They know the products They sell very well. In my opinion Max muscle tustin puts all other body Building product stores to shame. read more

This place should be called max price. They are more expensive than anywhere else. This was my go to place for Supplement knowledge back when I used to live in tustin. Came to visit parents and decided to stop in just to grab some product while In town. Everything priced over the top. To top it off when I went in they did not even acknowledge me being there. Looked around nothing with prices on them, asked a couple of question short ended answers. Save your money and shop somewhere else. Really sad to see this place like this. read more

I love Max Muscle products in general. Their supplements are made in the U.S. and are generally high quality. This location is well stocked and has a lot of non-Max Muscle items as well. But the prices really are on the higher end, and I've been to numerous Max Muscles in Southern California. For example, $65 for a 3-pound non-Max Muscle tub of protein is a lot. I don't care if it includes isolate, concentrate, or another form of whey. There's no way a protein blend should be that expensive, so I felt like I was pitched a more expensive product. But maybe it truly is amazing. I didn't buy it and I never will at that price. So I will never know. Their Max Muscle offerings were priced a little higher than other stores as well. Anyways, the store has a good selection of protein and other supplements. The staff is knowledgeable, and the location is fairly convenient off the 5 and Jamboree. read more

Do yourself a favor and don't go here. They rip you off. I purchased a supplement for 89.99. I found out that suggested retail on this is $59.99. How anyone can charge $30 over list I don't know. I also found the same product on amazon for 39.99. Buy online. Don't go here read more

Two Words: Max Prices This place is okay as supplement stores go. The staff is very knowledgeable about nutrition, supplements and bodybuilding...so they are easy to talk to. Definitely a step up from places like GNC which are over-priced, do not offer that many quality products, and where the staff are generally clueless. The things I like about Max Muscle are the staff and the variety and depth of product offerings l. You can find pretty much anything you need in the way if workout supplements. The things I don't like are the prices and the fact that they don't put the prices on the products. The staff will tend to push you toward certain products that they may well believe in, but are invariably quite expensive for workout warriors who use a lot of stuff. If recommend this for people who are just getting into bodybuilding or exercise, because the people there will take a lot of time telling you what various things do for you. I would not recommend it for experienced lifters who know what they want. It is generally much better to buy online. I only come here for "emergencies" when I'm running out of something I need and don't want to wait a few days to order online. read more

I was recommended to Max Muscle by my Personal Trainer who has been a loyal customer for years. The Rep, Brandon was extremely knowledgeable about every product. He made sure to listen to what I needed and recommended the ideal product to meet my needs not the other way around. He even wrote down instruction on the product to remind me how many times through out the day I needed to take it. The prices were very competitive and he gave me additional discounts. Before you know it, I walked out with everything I needed including complimentary items: 2 Max Muscle t-shirts, 4 shakers, and packs of Intrabolics. Max Muscle you had me at Hello! read more

Recently purchased supplements that cost over $100. When I got home, I noticed they had forgotten to give me the most expensive product. The clerk at the store treated me like I was lying, and the owners totally blew me off. I would not recommend this store to anyone for any reason. read more

I've been a customer at Max Muscle for 3 years and come here for most of my supplement needs. Whenever ever I walk in I am greeted by friendly staff and always feel welcomed. I like this place because they give free fitness advice and the staff is very knowledgeable. Most other supplement stores will try to sell you products based on their "broscience" but Max Muscle does no do that, the products they sell you here are cGMP certified and are backed by science. I feel like a lot of customers might be deterred from buying their products due to relatively high prices, but Max Muscle will price match to bodybuilding.com. If you decide to go, ask for Branden, he always goes out of his way to make customers happy. read more

I have never seen such over priced , expired supplements and product ever. This place looks like a storage shed for old products. Besides the overwhelming amount of stuff in this store the sales guy was pushing me to purchase supplements I didn't want or need. Then was rude when I said no thanks. If you want better quality products at 1/2 the price Nutrishop is better. read more

I've fluctuated between MaxMuscle and BodyBuilding.com. I was actually introduced into the world of workout supplements by Brandon Sellons during my tenure as a worker for Ralph's Grocery, which is a few stores down from MaxMuscle, where Brandon had just started working. He eventually convinced both my dad and I that I should look into a few specific supplements to help me out in my athletic endeavors. I had initially turned to BodyBuilding.com because of the lower prices, but never felt that personal touch of the selling/buying experience. So, I went over to MaxMuscle, talked with Brandon a little bit about my goals and lifting experience, and he provided a list of supplements I should keep my eye on. From then on, he has truly gone out of his way to provide a personal touch to an otherwise impersonal supplement business. He's got a passion for what he does, which is something I've always looked for in salesmen. I would tell everyone I know, who either isn't sure about supplementation, or is a season vet when it comes to buying supplements or weight lifting, come into the MasMuscle store in Tustin, and you'll come out with a smile. read more
