I took my son here to find him custom fit boots to fit his feet after years of discomfort in both ski boots and snowboard boots. The service and product exceeded my expectations. It was awesome. My husband and I both have custom boots from different places in Utah, but next time we need new boots, I'm making the trip here. This is real quality and care. read more

I'm writing this review to get someone's attention from this company. I have emailed and called with no response. My husband and I both got fitted, his are great and for two years I've been trying to "break them in". The cramping I'm getting is extremely painful! I went to a local boot fitter to see if they could help since Hampton NH is far for me. This fitter is extremely experienced and fitted the world cup team back when he introduced Mikaela Shiffrin to her first sponsor. So he knows his stuff in other words. One look at my foot and calf and his words that this is not the stype of set up for me. The strolz foam filled boot is for someone with thin legs, high arch and thin calves - thats my husband, I'm the opposite. He removed the custom lining put in a stock lining left over from another off the shelf boot (Free of charge) and now my cramping is gone. I'm left with a partial plastic boot holding the stock insert since the bulk of this boot is really the foam filled insert. According to this boot fitter, my foot arch and calf combined do not make me a candidate for this type of custom boot fit. During the process at Strolz it was hard for the fitter to find something that worked with my calf and at that point my feeling was that I should give up but he pushed on that he would make it work. I wish I listented to my gut and just stopped the process right there. I'm sick to my stomach that we paid so much for custom boots that I cannot even use. Trying to reach strolz to get a refund for these "lifetime" boots that are uselss to me now. I hope to hear from someone there soon! read more

I just had a great "check up" on my 7 year old custom ski boots. They are still fabulous and in excellent condition . Maurie showed me a few tips to get my heel in place, use the strap on the inside, Wow! I'm so excited for this season. And no cost for an hour of professional boot fitting. read more

I now have a season in the bag with my custom boots and it has been great. Matt was awesome to work with and I would highly recommend. No more dread getting locked into my boots on the way to the slopes! read more

NOT GOOD! I have had these boots for a while and they have never been good. I had problems from my first time out with them despite having been fitted by the top fitter from Europe at a Strolz event at Ski Barn. They have been constantly adjusting them to no avail. Aside from the high cost I have spent countless hours having them adjusted trying to get them to work. Any time I ski any bumpy conditions at all my ankle gets raw and very painful. I have showed them the pictures of what happens to my ankle and multiple emails to Strolz with the pictures and explaining the problems. The lower foot adjustment clips are always loose and cannot adjust tighter at all. The injection foam they use seems very hard. I often have to wear two pairs of socks to try to be comfortable In them. They are also cold, need boot covers at least with these boots. They recommended internal boot warmers when I bought them. I have skied in Solomon boots prior and found these to be no better and more uncomfortable. In fact the Solomon boots seemed bettet/more comfortable. It has been a terrible waste of money and time for fittings and adjustment. They are also very difficult to get on and off. I would NOT recommend these boots at all. I have the blue race boot. I do highly recommend Ski Barn, I buy all of my equipment there and Jerry is an outstanding fitter, but these boots are problematic. He has tried very hard to get them to fit. read more

Echoing praise for Matt. Matt didn't even fit my Strolz boots originally but has worked tirelessly to help me meet 100% of my potential with these boots. Strolz is the only answer for hard to fit feet. read more

I have been skiing for 39 years and teaching skiing for over 15 and I never had a pair of boots that have fit and performed better than the boots that Matt Madden made me this year. Not only were my feet warm in the record cold temps of Northern Vermont they out performed any other ski boot that I have ever had on my feet. On day one, I put these "performance slippers" on my feet and stepped out to -30 and taught skiing for 6 hours without even unbuckling them. There is no longer that "hey wait a minute I need to tighten my boots" at the top of the lift. I also no longer have the need to turn the floor heating in my car to full blast on the way home from the mountain each day. If your feet are unhappy, go see Matt Madden and get yourself some Strolz. Your feet will thank you. Chris Stowe Mountain Resort read more

These boots are amazing. I don't even unbuckle at all anymore. If I could drive a car with them I would just put them on at the house. They are worth every penny I spent. If your skeptical, just call or even better go see Matt and have him show you the product and knowledge that goes into the finished product. read more

Our experience with Matt was extraordinary... we have already been on Facebook, singing praises. We had a great time with Matt in the store, the boots are amazing, and we met up with Matt the next day at Attitash... He had gone to the trouble to let the folks at Andes Ski Shop know we were coming. My boots were incredible, and paired with brand new demos as a rental, skiing was like never before. Eva, my wife had a great fitting, and Matt met us on Monday before we left to return home to make an adjustment for her. Of note, we went to our local ski shop in Michigan to pair our Strolz boots with our skis, and the folks there wanted to know all about Strolz. So more accolades ensued. Strolz boots provide total control with total comfort! All in all a great experience! read more

On my third pair, wouldn't go back to off the shelf boots. Never been more comfortable and feel greater control.

I have a pair of Strolz boots that I have skied on for many years. I love them and they still work perfectly. I had a small problem with the lower footbeds in the shells and I was very pleased to find that their HQ and shop was within 30 minutes of where I recently moved. If anyone who is considering these boots has any hesitation, then the customer service of Matt Madden should sway them. When I left a phone message, he immediately called me back, discussed the problem and assured me he could fix it and made an appointment several days later to see me. When I arrived at the shop in Hampton, NH he had already found a box of the old inserts he would need to repair my boots and did this within 30 minutes of my arrival. He also installed new heal and toe pieces on the bottoms of the boots. Now they are like new. I love the boots but it is the customer service of Matt that would get me to purchase another pair of Strolz ski boots. read more
