Not only did Cathy have the current version of my fav red Wolky Sandals from 3 Yrs ago, she had them in a black dress version and both were 1/2 off! With a size 11 narrow foot shoe-wear is my biggest challenge. I've never been able to find a pair of black comfortable nice flats until now. I gladly replaced my clothes that were stolen the week before and am ALL set for ANY event. I just arrived in NY for work and play and am outfitted with everything I need. As I unpacked, each piece unraveled with out wrinkles!!! Holy moly Alesia Cathy Carmen Cheryl and one other have all helped put me back in the right path. Now I live 1.5 hours away and since we were driving through I wanted to stop and find new sandals as mine (bought here) were about 10 years old and all stretched out. I love this store. Anyone with narrow feet should visit this place. I found 2 pair of sandals and would have bought more if they had my size. One pair was identical the to ones I bought years before. The shoes run narrow, fit beautifully and are reasonably priced. Yes some shoes are expensive but I do not think any more then at other non chain shoe stores. There selection is large. If you are tired of buying cheap sneaks, splurge and get something nice here. 3. Tidy Store. Even though it was busy, shoes and clothing were never on the floor or out of place unless a customer was trying them on. Shoes were in the correct boxes and boxes were ordered logically which made it easy for me to find my size. Also they will order items from other stores and call you if their store doesn't have your size. 4. Love their 20% off sale. Makes justifying buying expensive products a bit easier. 5. Generous return policy where they let you try shoes indoors for 30 days which gives you time to know for sure if they will work for you. If you need to return, just bring items, packaging and receipt in for refund or exchange within the return timeframe. I had driven by many a time. I'm really glad I decided to stop in and shop. I was drawn in to Hazel by some casual pull on pants, perfect for the kind of traveling I do, on their sale rack. Though I didn't get them, I tried on loads of clothes while my husband had a long and extremely enjoyable conversation about music with the absolutely wonderful sales clerk. Truth be told, all of the brands I tried on are national and could be gotten anywhere but I did end up with one pair of pants at a great sale price. Veering away from the sale rack I noticed an excellent curated collection of jewelry, shoes, scarves, and clothes.

They never try to swindle or oversell. They will pull apart every shirt in that store for you to try on if you asked them to with a smile. These folks are professional. Is it different than the old "John Farley's", yes of course it is, it's under new ownership. I had not been shopping at J.F. for an incredibly long time, so I was not a yeas-long customer before they closed as many were, but I've had really great experiences at both. J.F. was a bit larger, and seemed to concentrate more on tailored suits and tuxedos than off-the-rack sport wear, outer, and casual, but Farley's still does tailored suits and still uses some of the same manufacturers. This means that if I need to replace a pair of pants on my charcoal suit which I bought at J.F. four or five years ago, I can. they have a lot of variety and carry a wide range of sizes across all of their brands, and they know which brands run small and which run large and will tell you! I'm a big, somewhat strangely proportioned dude, and yet just about every time I go here I manage to find something that I can wear comfortably. I remember on time we were talking about different manufacturers sizing and to prove the point they had me try on a Peter Millar XXL shirt and a Rodd & Gunn XXL. Millar fits me quite well, still a tad snug in the shoulders but fine. The Rodd and Gunn however wouldn't even come close to buttoning, there was about a 3 inch gap between the buttons and the holes! They predicted as much. So if you have a question about a brand, they will know the answer. They also carry 34 Heritage jeans, which are one of the only brand of jeans I wear for general use. The bottom line is that this is a top notch shop with top notch employees. It may not be quite as formal as J.F. and the below reviewer's situation is unfortunate, but when a business closes, gift certificates are no longer valid. It's a risk one takes with buying/giving them. If J.F. had sold the gift certificates after they had planned to close, they should have informed the person buying them that they needed to be used by a certain date and wrote that on the certificate. You can't really expect a store to give away free merchandise because someone sat on a gift for a long time or the former store failed to inform the purchaser of a potential close. I also know for a fact that John Farley informed people of their closing far in advance because every time iId go in to buy something for months before closing I was reminded at check-out.

There is a fitting room there just in case you're shopping and want to try some things on. The prices were pretty good on what they were selling. I got a couple of short sleeve tops that were marked down to $15 each. One was a solid burgundy color and the other one came in a grey print. I tried them on and they look great. The guy working at the counter was very nice and helped me sign up for their loyalty program while I was paying for my items. I'd come back here again next time I am in the area.
