A friend who use to live in Brandford years ago, recommended this place. He said that i had to try the Schnitzel Sandwich!! Its $5 and good size!! So i tried the Pork Schnitzel and the Pulled Pork sandwiches. The size of the sandwich is good. The pork Schnitzel was a tad dry on one side, and the rest was ok. The Pulled pork was soft and tasty!! I probably will try the pork Schnitzel again, and give it another chance. Place is pretty busy, lots of people ordering from the sandwich section of this store. Service was good also. read more

One of the better places to go eat in Brantford. Their soups are great and also their pulled pork sandwich is very good. From the soups I like the mushroom potato soup and their hamburger soup. read more

This takeout location is clearly a hit with the locals and it's easy to see why. They have a nice deli eith numerous selections of pasta salads, soups and sandwiches. I've gotten the pulled pork, schnitzel and spicy chicken sandwiches and each have good value for their price. The chicken was a little on the dry side in my opinion but still satisfactory. Also, their chilli is phenomenal. I have gotten it just to save it for lunch the following day and had no regrets. The people working there are all nice and I had no issue there. It's a shame that they are only open from 11 to 5. As a purely take out location there's not much to say about the places decor. When I went for the first time I'm glad they had their entire menu on a giant board. He only suggestion is to make the soup selection board a little bigger. read more

The staff is kind and polite, lots of options for lunch food which is what I've gone for dozens of times. I would say there isn't many options for healthy food, lots of deep fried and fatty foods here but I suppose that's what makes it so popular with people. Overall not my best option for lunch. If you are looking for good, cheap eats this is a reliable spot! Whenever my boyfriend and I are visiting brantford this is our go to for a quick and cheap lunch. Our go to is the chicken schnitzel - they load the chicken and toppings on for only $5. Delicious! read more

Was promised that they could make Chicken Mango Jalapeno sausages. Placed an order, on the proviso they would call when the order was made. A week went by...no phone call. Called the store. Was advised they somehow lost my phone number, and went on to sell off most of the sausages I had ordered. Drove an hour from home to get what remained, which was well wrapped. Got home an hour later to discover they neglected to add the mango to the sausage. Ended up paying $30 for sausages I could have bought for $10 at the grocer. Never going back. read more

We frequent Strodes and purchase chicken, sausages and dog bones. I also stop by and buy the occasional lunch from your buffet. Tonight I cooked up 3 of their sausages and found the odd joint/cartilage but that isn't why I'm complaining... I found a rock, yes a rock. Not too sure how it got in there but my chipped tooth is in some pain because of it. I messaged them and no answer for two/three days now. Must be a normal thing to find in their meat. *Update* Was contacted by the owner. Told me to keep the rock and send him pics and we will set up a time to meet. That was 3 weeks ago. Don't buy the meat pies...specs of meat and veggies. Pretty much just pastry and not that good either.
