My friend booked this place for lunch after visiting the lavender farm in Milton.....it was about a 20 minute drive from the farm and looked like a small diner from outside. Upon entering there are 2 indoor dining areas and a patio on an upper deck and then a patio down below out back. Our group of about 20 or more sat at the lower patio. I was highly impressed with this place. Feels like it's in the middle of nowhere but it's honestly a beautifully set up inside and not what you'd expect from the outside. The food was great - we had breakfast and ordered pancakes, the "classic breakfast" and a western omelette. The food tasted great and was very well priced for what you were getting. The pancakes had chia seeds and fruits with it, the omelette was very big with a lot ingredients stuffed in it and the potatoes were crispy! The staff were also very pleasant to top it all off. A hidden gem is the best description for this place! When you enter the parking lot and see the shabby looking exterior, it's hard to imagine what awaits inside. The interior is quite appealing and even better is the patio and the live music. It felt like I'm at a backyard of a friend's house. The crowd is usually families and 50+ adults who can afford to live in this neighbourhood. Our server was quite nice and friendly. She told us that the desserts are made by their own chef on a daily basis. I tried the surf and turf and my boyfriend had Chicken Souvlaki. I found out about this place from a coworker and I'm glad I tried it. It's literally in the middle of nowhere, but the drive to this restaurant was very scenic! We were a group of 6 for a Saturday brunch. Their breakfast menu extends to 3PM on weekends which is a huge bonus. The patio is quite busy on a sunny day, but since we requested for a table indoors (and made a reservation ahead of time) we were seated right away. Highly recommend the Wundeba Breakfast which comes with orange juice. They got bottomless coffee and tea as well! Will definitely come back again. read more

Coconut cream pie. Amazing. Not too sweet, fabulous crust, so creamy. Last time I was here we asked about it at the reservations line, and they told us there weren't many slices left. We reserved four there and then - one for each member of our party. The rest of their food is very good too, I just don't remember it like I remember their ccp. I'm sad the balcony will be closing soon, if it hasn't already. It's lovely, with a big tree leaning over the tables and deer lounging in sight. Easily one of my favourite hidden gems in Burlington! I've been here once before for a nice fish & chips dinner, so I returned this morning for breakfast and was very happy with the visit. I ordered a Classic Breakfast with sausages, and I have to say that the sausages are probably the best ones I've had in the area. If I had to judge the food only I would probably give it a 3 1/2 stars but, once paired with the lack of parking, basic atmosphere and decor the prices become crazy expensive. The waiters are friendly and the menu is extensive but I can't give it more than two stars considering that I paid more than $180 for one glass of house wine, one cesar's, one beer, one souvlaki, a schnitzel and one tiny piece of sirloin with one cheesecake and a coke. What an amazing find! My wife and I went to this place on the recommendation of a friend who lives nearby, and what a gift that was! The interior is really nice. Beautiful wood booths with a modern classy color scheme. The wait staff is very professional and well put-together. Now to the important stuff... food!!!! The food is incredible. The owner is a nutritionalist (I think it's the guy in the back of the drink menu who looks like a young Kevin Bacon). All of the food is Natural, Organic, and/or Locally sourced. The drink menu is extensive! They have juices, smoothies, "power shots," kombucha on tap, and a wonderful coffee selection. My wife had the Green Maca tea, and I had the Wundeba Coffee-Black. The waitresses description of the blend they use for the Wundeba Coffee was awesome (Her name is Marina... she is awesome! Ask for her if you go). Ask about the coffee. Her description will be better than my 2nd hand description. The coffee was awesome! A nice smooth finish with a hint of Cacao. They sell it by the bag for $35. The food was top notch!!! My wife had the French Toast. It was very good. Unsyruped, you could taste the coconut oil it was cooked in. I had the German Omelet with the Flax Seed and Honey bread. The omelet was delicious. This is my favourite restaurant. Their patios are lovely (3 of them) out the back which overlooks a beautiful lawn, flowers and forest. One patio has full grown trees coming up through it forming the shade cover. The food...well I am extremely fussy about food quality and how it is prepared and this place always exceeds my expectations. The menu is varied and the food excellent. The staff is very friendly and service is very good indeed. The inside is OK from a decor perspective, but summer time we eat outside. Of course they are renovating so who knows what we will find next. Breakfast lunch and dinner...all excellent. Make a reservation....they are always packed!!! My wife and I went there for the first time for a late lunch (2:00) on a Thursday. First we were surprised how full the parking lot was but this was the end of the lunch rush. We were seated right away by staff that was super nice and friendly. The lunch menu had just enough variety to make choosing only a little difficult. But choose we did and it was fantastic! This is the best "hole in the wall". Owned by nutritionists, they've done an excellent job on making comfort food tasty and healthy. The menu caters to all takes. Let me preface this review with the fact that I have eaten at many Burlington area restaurants and that I am a foody snob. I had read so many great reviews and heard some good things about this restaurant but I wasn't impressed. Requested my family take me last night for my Mother's Day dinner. My husband had the escargot and pork souvlaki. My one son had the fillet mignon and the other had one of the burgers. I ordered the chicken parmigiana. My husband's escargot were pretty slimmy from the cheese but his souvlaki meal was chock full of food, plate overflowing. My son's bacon-wrapped fillet was 1/2" thick escorted with 3 lonely baby potatoes and 2 little broccoli spears - nothing touching each other. This meal was probably the most expensive on the menu - way overpriced for what landed on the plate in front of him. My other son's burger meal was a-typical so he was content. Let me say if you like schnitzel this is a great place for pieces of meat pounded thin and very tender escorted with 3 baby potatoes and two little broccoli spears. Topped with tomato sauce and a slice of mozzarella cheese it was tasty but the outline of the cheese slice was lacking in presentation and my 3 potatoes and two broccoli spears looked lonely sitting on the outside edge of this big piece of schnitzel. We left without dessert but did leave a decent tip for the server. Service was good! Would I go back? Maybe for breakfast but it would be hard to beat my Sunset Grill haunt. We stopped for breakfast - after a lengthy wait, they brought the orders - not only were both orders wrong, mine was cold. I did not eat the cold breakfast (egg), and they made me a replacement of one egg and one piece of toast, at my request. My companion was finished when my replacement was delivered. When the bill came, they charged me for the full breakfast + an additional charge for a side I had ordered and did not eat because it too was cold. After 15 minutes, they finally fixed the bill, charging me for a full lite breakfast minus the side. There was no offer of compensation from the manager who came to our table to discuss. She blamed the server. The server was not to blame - she was attentive and did her best to accommodate. It seems that the restaurant does not empower their wait staff to do the right thing. read more

Ate here today with a larger party (6 adults, 7 kids) and everyone had a great experience. The weather was a bit cold/overcast so we ate inside rather than on the patio (which must be awesome when it's open). We were able to sit in the back room which felt like our own private dining area with a long table and a sitting area with comfy couches. The kids ate from the reasonably priced kids menu and then hung out on the couches and the adults were able to enjoy the food and the company. The food was excellent - our group ordered a couple of salads, chicken souvlaki, the fish special and the fisherman's platter. Very good portion sizes and the food was flavourful and well prepared. The coffee and desserts (vanilla bean cheesecake, coconut cream pie and chocolate cake) were all delicious. The service was also outstanding! Nice surprise. We had breakfast at Wundeba yesterday and will be back over the summer for breakfast and to try their lunch menu. The patio is great. Just perfect for a casual meal. The staff are charming and efficient and the food is good and honest. No pretensions, no quick-defrost-in-the-microwave, no chain food phoney ambience, no greasy spoon 'charm'. Sorry for the long post. Just ate here for the first time. Had brunch. Let me start off by saying the food is great. You can taste the freshness and it's not as heavy as the traditional versions of the same dishes. I had the eggs Benny and my partner had the steak and eggs. Both very delicious, cooked perfectly. My main issue is with the very poor customer service. (Female server's name started with M) Absolute Worst part; I opted for fruit salad instead of potatoes, AND THEY NEVER CAME. We ate our meals for about 30 mins, add the 10 mins it took to make them after we placed our orders. And in that 40 mins my fruit salad was not made. I was informed they were "backed up" and my fruit was being cut. Pretty sure it doesn't take 40 minutes to cut fruit. Just tell me you forgot, which I can see since 2 other tables got their full meals yet I never received my fruit. Even worst, the server didn't provide any compensation. Discount the meal? A glass of juice on the house? Nothing. Made it seem it was my fault, and that I should take the fruit to go. On a 30 degree day when I've mentioned I won't be home for several hours. Sure I'll keep fruit In my hot car. So go for the food, but not the service. Sadly, I won't be back. I go to restaurants for quality of food AND service. read more
