Food is made to order with large portions. Staff is amazing. There is a large patio available for special events like birthday parties and a meeting room. Kudos to Albert the owner and AJ

My favorite place for date night. Awesome service as usual I'm loving the Karaoke. Food was quick and hot.

78 degrees in the restaurant. This is their thermostat last night.

Went to Strings on 8-26-25, the food was delicious and our waitress was great, very delicious, but...the restaurant was 78 degrees inside at 7 at night! It took about 45 minutes to get our meal and we were simply sweating inside the restaurant. After only 10 minutes of eating, and our glasses having sweat on them from the temperature in the restaurant, We asked them for boxes to take our meals home because it was so hot. Someone came out and told us that they had their thermostat looked at and it worked for a short period and then stopped working properly. So, if you know that your restaurant is going to be very uncomfortable for people, maybe tell them when they come in and they can get the food to go or go somewhere else. At least give them the heads up and option. It is not a cheap place and therefore, we should get to choose if we want to eat there and spend the money or not.

Meat calzone

Had lunch here with a big group after a funeral. Service was very slow considering there was hardly anyone dining in the restaurant. My seafood bisque was flavorful, but lacked any consistency. It was too watered down. The family salad was over drenched with dressing that the lettuce was soggy. My meat calzone was just ok. It was filled with plenty of meat, but it lacked flavor. I left still hungry. Not my best dining experience, but then again there was not much to choose from in Merced.

Strings has some great food. Everything I have tried has been great. I especially enjoyed the Lasagna Pastry, it tastes great and having both sauces is really nice. The staff has always been very friendly and usually quick. The inside is nice and always clean. My family held an event here too and they were super helpful. They made it really easy and we had a great time. Overall a great place to eat!

Kids chicken nugget combo was delicious and perfect for my hungry kids

Siena was good. Lobster bisque delicious especially with the bread. Wonderful service and wasn't too bad with my little kids. Will ask for light dressing or dressing on the side next time. Will get the bruschetta next time, had major fomo

Haven't been here in over 10 years. We were in town for an event and my husband made last-minute reservations for my birthday dinner. The service was excellent, and so was the food. I highly recommend!

I woke up early but got straight to my "projects" all morning and hadn't eaten yet. Then, I ordered the VERONA pizza to go, to enjoy by the pool on this CRAZY HOT DAY, and I ordered my friend a Destinos Cutlet Sandwich combo to go, with their amazing soup, because it was one of their "Featured Lunch Specials". Check out Destinos on Main Street and Canal for lunch, happy hour specials, dinner, and THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE! Today I met, Audrina, and she was on point with her service, just like ever other server, at each of my other visits. YOU FEEL like A VIP guest at Destino's, but not "bougie" VIP... more like, your country neighbor invited you over for their BEST HOMECOOKING kind of VIP, welcoming, come on in and kick your boots off, neighbor hospitality! It was my first time there and it's a small yet spacious little spot with upstairs area to boot. I was greeted on arrival and the service was friendly and helpful. I had the coconut shrimp which is always on my radar to try and they didn't disappoint. I tried the Torino white sauce pizza with chicken minus the bacon (i don't eat pork) and added bbq sauce and pineapple because I read it on one of the yelp reviews and it sounded good, it was. I was very pleased. It's definitely worth the short trip from Modesto to try it out. Pro tip: there is parking behind the building which will be much easier to find parking.

Since the year 2000 I am always disappointed. It doesn't matter which Olive Garden I go to; I'm…read morealways let down. Back in the 1990's we had 2 affordable choices in the area I lived in. We had Marie Callendar's and Olive Garden. In the 90's the food was good. I always opted for Marie Challedar's for the vast variety. As the food declined at Olive Garden, I would go with friend and have ONLY the soup, salad, and breadstick. Then The Soup Plantation showed up, and I would opt to go there. The last time I voluntarily went to Olive Garden was 15 years ago. About 10 years ago, my cousin wanted to meet up with us and Olive Garden was closest to his job, and we all met there. Again, I only had soup, salad, and breadsticks. I never had plans to return. I don't care about the good-looking food on the commercials or promotions. The food sucks. I'm going to try and make a long story short... yesterday, I wasn't feeling well at all. My husband has some workers near-by the Olive Garden, and he asked me what I wanted, he was going to pick it up. We both ordered a pasta dish, a soup, and breadsticks. I ordered Shrimp Scampi, Zuppa Toscano, and of course the breadsticks. Simple... right? The first thing I did was look at the bill it was almost $75.00!!!!! Knowing my husband, he over tipped. I first noticed that my serving was only half of what it should have been. I wasn't feeling good and didn't have much of an appetite anyways. I don't know where to start, but the pasta was almost SAUCELESS and STUCK together. What little sauce was there was BLAND. The shrimp weren't cook toughly, the asparagus was over cooked, and they gave me mostly the woody-splintery ends. The tomato chunks were mush, and I just couldn't eat it. So, I moved to the Zuppa Toscano soup. The broth was white colored, flavorless water, big slices of potato, and the roughest kale pieces ever. Yall should have just left it out or raw. Who???? Can jack-up a breadstick??? The breadsticks were BLONDE, FLAVORLESS, DRY, BRICKS. My husband ordered the seafood pasta. What a joke. It had small marble sized scallops and a few shrimps; but the kicker was the MUSHY OVERCOOKED broccoli. He couldn't eat it either and he abandoned the whole eating activity. He didn't even open the soup. I just threw everything into the trash; there was no saving that meal. This question is for general management Marci Anaya. Do you monitor what's happening in the kitchen? Do you see the food before it's packaged and sent out to the consumer? Do you care if we actually get our money's worth? Do you really understand how much pasta, shrimp, veggies, and soup with breadsticks I could have actually bought with $75.00??? I could have invited over 10 people and fed each one until they were full. This is a disgrace. I WILL NOT EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER return. I don't care who's inviting me, my answer is NO! If anything, I would like my money back!

The salad is nasty. I got the chicken scampi pasta - it was not good and had pretty minimal flavors. My friends got the spicy meatball and rigatoni pasta, which was much better. Breadsticks were also great as always. I'm pretty sure it was our server's first day because she seemed very overwhelmed, but she did a good job overall.

She greeted us and sat us. Then we sat looking at the menu for over 10-15minutes and she still had not returned to even get our drink order. She finally returned and apologized for the long wait. When our food finally arrived it was really good. We ordered the buttermilk ranch Chicken Sandwich with fries / sweet potato fries, double stack burger added egg on top with fries & kids chicken tenders. Chicken sandwich was perfect. Juicy on the inside and perfectly crisp on the outside. My husband enjoyed the stack burger. Our server was top notch and very well versed on the menu. They have a full bar and extensive menu. We started with the poke appetizer, which was amazingly flavorful. I was not expecting the ample amount and excellent quality of this dish. It's a must-try if you like raw fish. We also tried the bacon wrapped dates, which were awesome. The cashew nut inside is a pleasant addition. I ordered the 510 Penne for lunch and my son had the tortellini. Both were excellent. The chicken was very tender. It was a lot of food and we took some leftovers. They have a unique payment system whereby you can scan a barcode on the bill to pay your bill automatically. This was a nice touch and came in handy to pay quickly because rain was rolling in. Overall I highly enjoyed this restaurant and look forward to my next visit. There's parking nearby and it's close to lots of shops if you care to walk and shop.
